You will need high mounts for clearance on any rifle. Looks like serious gear on my BAM 26-2. Good bang for the buck.

What others should know:Well worth the price to get a very nice looking .22 for the collection. It's also worth putting a higher end scope on to exploite the accuracy the gun is capable of. High mount rings for your scope are a must. The comb is quite high and getting a good sight picture quickly is probably not as easy as it could be. Check all the screws before using, they were loose on the gun I received. I like the gun a lot. I am pleased enough with the basic rifle that I am going to go ahead and put the extra money out to have a professional tune done on it. Should be not just a good shooter but an exceptional shooter after that.

After quite a bit of fustration I determined the one piece sight mount was defective. It would not allow the scope to properly align with the barrel. Gamo customer service was great. They replaced the mount no questions no charge. Now the rifle is right on. I also have added an after market trigger. The new trigger has transformed the gun from very nice to WOW! I would recommend this gun to any shooter looking for a really excellent spring gun in the middle price range.
