Saddle height (above tube) is 0.625 inches. Mounts are 0.830 inches thick (front to back).
Comes with Allen keys and extra screws.

Things I would have changed:Eye relief is very short (roughly 2 inches). Illuminated reticle not really necessary. What others should know:This is a seriously short scope; measuring just a hair under 8.5 inches end to end. The clamping surface available (or necessary) is just 3.05 inches, so it will fit on even very limited scope rails. I have mine set up on the Leapers Accushot medium rings with 2 clamping screws on each base ( RGPM-25M4[PY-A-793] ); works great. My only niggle is that the eye relief is so short. I really have to crane my head forward, out of my usual cheek weld, to use this scope. It's not unlike craning forward to use diopter sights. I may get an offset mount to move it back toward my eye some.
Comes with 2" sunshield and with flip up covers, extra screws, all necessary allen keys, cleaning cloth, and good documentation. Mine had an extra battery (so, total = 2) in the packaging, too.

Things I would have changed:Plastic trigger has long, long creep. Tom mentions a heavy trigger pull; mine has been quite light all along, but it does have that long creep, with virtually no load on the trigger until the end, then a decent bit of proper resistance, but nothing too heavy.
Automatic safety: it works fine, but personally, I don't like auto-safeties. What others should know:This gun is made in China and is also known as the QB-18 (mine is a .22 caliber QB). I haven't chronied it, but it shoots about as hard as my Crosman 180 - about 450 fps or so. That's a pretty good for plinking out to the extreme of my 35-meter backyard range. This rifle is more than accurate enough for Coke cans and the like, and it is absolute murder on all my Gamo field targets.
Because the 490 is medium powered (at best), the spring is less stiff than in a magnum springer (and the piston stroke may be shorter, too... not sure), so cocking is very smooth and easy. There is also a less-pronounce recoil, which is easier on me and a lot easier on my scopes. The open sights are passable, this would be absolutely great with diopter sights, though.
Things I liked:Accuracy, good power (shoots a lot harder than 300 fps with 0.20's!). Good reproduction, has a lot of detail. Hop-up is adjustable, which is a great extra on a $40 gun! Big magazine. Things I would have changed:Rear sights are not (really) adjustable for windage, which is a shame, because mine are offset by about

Big magazine. Things I would have changed:Rear sights are not (really) adjustable for windage, which is a shame, because mine are offset by about 1/2 inch left of the front post. I may be able to stack some washers under the windage adjustment knob to bring it to the right, but I haven't tried yet...
Stock is hollow plastic and very front-heavy (no weight in butt).
Buttpad is just a decorative cap that snaps over the rear of the butt.
"Sling Swivels" are low-grade plastic and will not last long if you put a sling on -- I cut my swivels off with a Dremel tool. Likewise, one of the molded on bits of detail just behind the cocking lever -- it was cutting my hand when cocking, so it got the Dremel, also.
The R.I.S. rails (all one piece) obscure the front sight post -- they are packaged unmounted on the gun, so adding them is an option. I won't bother, I'll just give the RIS away to someone who wants it. What others should know:This is hard-cocking, with a really stiff spring, and shoots extra hard. Like I mentioned in the first section, mine shoots a lot harder than advertised (mine chronys at 405 fps with 0.20 gram TSD ammo).
The trigger spring is very stiff, too, so it takes some effort to pull the trigger.
Overall, the material used for the exterior is pretty flimsy, and this gun won't stand up long to hard use like skirmishing. For more "gentle" applications like sniping and backyard plinking, it's a great airsoft gun. Well worth the $40 price tag.
I'm very satisfied. For the price, it has some of the shortcomings I would expect, but it has some very unexpected good qualities that more than make up for all of them.

Two clips included, and they're nice quality. Slide locks back automatically on empty magazine. For airsoft, this is extremely accurate; I don't know if I can really "hit a quarter at 25 feet" like claimed, but this gun is very, very consistent with 0.20 gram BB's. Nice, clean profile; nothing sticks out to catch in holsters or other gear. Things I would have changed:I know that the soft rubber, ribbed handgrip is authentic to the real handgun, but I don't particularly like it... Just my personal taste, though; it doesn't detract from the overall feel of the pistol. Not much metal, and this is a little pricey for an almost entirely plastic pistol. The "recoil" spring -- which in a gun like this only snaps the slide closed after cocking -- is too weak, and sometimes the slide needs some help closing. I would love for this to be strippable so I can put silicone lube on moving parts, but there is no disassembly lever. What others should know:This is a terrific spring pistol. It shoots about on par, for power and accuracy, with my KSA Glock G18C gas gun (and my Glock is fully upgraded). I have several (over 30) spring pistols, and this one is shaping up to be the best so far. For me, 0.20 gram BB's (from TSD) are working great; 0.12's are far too light for any accuracy, 0.25's are good to about 30 feet, but then dive into the grass. From my front door, I can hit my mailbox, 71 feet away with 0.20's, and they hit hard enough to be audible. The gun is a bit on the light side; I would appreciate more heft. When I ordered, I thought the slide was alloy, but it's high-grade engineering resin, like the frame, with a different finish to look like brushed metal. The sights are non-adjustable, and the sighting dots are huge. Trigger is plastic, but has very nice pull, and crisp release. The outer barrel is black nylon (or other plastic) and has a 1/2 inch orange extension attached at the muzzle.
