No messy co2 to carry. as long as you have pellts, you can hunt or plink Things I would have changed:The mounting system for a scope is clunky compared to a dovetail mount. more muzzle energy would be better for hunting. What others should know:The pistol could be massaged to a higher velocity and some on the internet provide a tune up service for better velocity. This is well made and will last a lifetime with good care. Not fall aprt like so many plastic cheap made models. it's all wood and metal. very heavy duty.
