Things I liked:Fit and finish are very precise. The stained hardwood stock (beech it appears) is a very nice, dark color that has golden grain lines throughout. This is a beautiful rifle. This is a beautiful rifle. Very, very accurate. Things I would have changed:As with all Dianas, the scope-mounting "rail" is just inadequate. These rifles produce too much recoil for such a short rail with no way of stopping the mounts from sliding except to use a 1-piece mount and hang the stop pin off the front. What others should know:RWS has a reputation of great rifles for a very good reason. This rifle is very heavy (close to 10 pounds with the scope). The cocking action is listed as 39 lbs in the RWS literature, but it feels much less than that (closer to 30-34 lbs). This is a beautiful rifle, and a joy to shoot.

Things I liked:Very, very adjustable (both stock and trigger stop), nice diopter sights, balanced well. Nice feature of accessory rail underneath the forestock. Great value for the money (you're easily getting over $500 worth of air rifle for the great sale price here at Pyramyd Air). Nice feature to not have to pump the gun after every shot

Things I would have changed:Add a barrel weight system or some kind of counter weight on the barrel to stabilize just a bit more. Give us a little more clearance between the T-bar bolt and where most of us mount the rear diopter (at the very back of the dovetail rail). Overall, these two things are very minor and definitely don't detract from the rifle one bit. What others should know:Depending on ambient temperature, you may get as few as 45 consistent shots per powerlet (but that's still a very decent number considering it's being shot inside a basement during the winter months). Can be a bit more picky as to pellets than the comparable Daisy 853CM I own. Still, a great value for the money and a wonderful rifle!

Very accurate for a rifle in this price range (or for a $600 and less category) for 10m target rifles. The synthetic stock has a nice grip to it. Things I would have changed:Plastic

Things I would have changed:Plastic trigger seems cheap. Plastic bolt handle also. But, that would certainly drive up the price, and I feel you get a great value for the entry price on this one. Pistol grip is much narrower than I expected (compared to the Crosman Challenger 2000) -- my shooting hand feels a hair cramped wrapping around this narrow of a grip. Not enough of an issue to disenjoy shooting it, though. What others should know:The large NRA seal/symbol was not on my rifle as is shown on the picture (which I'm kind of glad -- love the NRA but it makes for a much cleaner look on the rifle without it). Now easily tied as my favorite rifle with my Crosman Challenger 2000. Really enjoying this rifle!
