Lite weight. Powerful .22. Accurate. Easy to Cock. THIS IS THE BEST VALUE FOR A VERY POWERFUL 22
Things I Would Have ChangedNOTHING. BUY IT
Good rifle well made.Powerful, accuracy and decent price.Overall i'm really happy with this product.
Things I Would Have Changednothing.
What Others Should KnowAll i can say it's a good rifle with 870FPS As advertised is 950 FPS but the factory tested is 870FPS which is still more power than any products that advertise 850FPS for those i'm sure will be less than what it advertised.so you won't go wrong with this rifle the impact it really impressive.
THE BEST OF THE BEST FOR THE PRICE ACCURACY AND PERFORMANCE.HIT THE BULL EYES RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX AT MORE THAN 30 YARD WITH OPEN SIGHT NOT JUST ONCE BUT THREE TIME JUST WANT TO TRY OUT. IT'S WORTH THE PRICE.OVERALL I DON'T THINK OTHER PRODUCT CAN BEAT THIS RIFLE WITH THE PRICE AND PERFORMANCE.AND ONE MORE THING IT MADE IN MEXICO NOT IN CHINA.KEEP THAT IN MIND.
Things I Would Have ChangedNOTHING YET SO FAR.
What Others Should KnowTHIS POWERFUL RIFLE IS FOR AN UPGRADE SHOOTER NOT FOR A BEGINNER WELL IT ALL GOOD IF YOU WANNA TRY IT OUT REALLY FUN SHOOTING FOR TARGET PRACTICE OF SMALL HUNTING GAME.
I like the whole thing. It is a very well made rifle. No loose ends so to speak. Quite accurate and powerful. I ordered a grey wooden stock. It came with a grey composite stock so perhaps the wooden one is no longer available. However, the composite one is quite good.
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing, except maybe a scope one day.
What Others Should KnowPerhaps not a good rifle for a child as it is weighty and stiff to cock. Overall I give 5 stars. It is a very good rifle for the money.
This rifle is a great value for the money. Rifle is light, relatively easy to cock (12 yr old grandson can cock it albeit with some difficulty) and not overly noisy (like a nail gun). Once zero-ed in the sights were quite accurate. Inconsistencies were the fault of the shooter and not the rifle.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe dual trigger serves no real purpose. No need for the 1st stage of it.
What Others Should KnowI wanted this rifle to take care of yard varmints but wanted the .22 version so I could take care of both racoons and woodchucks as well. That shouldn't be a problem because this thing rips a 1/2" plywood board up pretty well at 40 feet. The problem was I had to wait for well over a month for the rifle to be in stock and when it finally arrived it was sold out in 1 day (I didn't get one). I settled for a grey stock used rifle (I would have preferred the traditional stock). Happily no regrets here. The grey looks fine and the rifle must have been very lightly used and I saved an additional 16 bucks. I was shooting Crossman Premier Hollow Points with it and they worked fine. I also have some RWS super h-points but haven't tried them yet. This is a great rifle for the $.

The gun has a solid design and the safety is activated every time it's loaded. This is my 1st spring gun and I am very pleased with the purchase. I have shot a lot of .177 cal spring guns that cost $200 and up and for small game the .22 is perfect. It has good power and I like the impact of the .22 cal. I have not shot the gun over 60 feet but it's very accurate.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe trigger is a little strange so it takes some shots to get comfortable with it.
What Others Should KnowThe gun has a good bit of recoil so it take some practice to become a good shot with it. I would not purchase this gun as a beginner rifle its very powerful for the price, and for a inexperienced shooter they my think it's not accurate but in fact it is.
As owner of 9 break barrel springers, this is my first choice in .22. I like my avenger 1100 at 1030 fps for $149 in .177 because of less drop and it is a little better for tight groups on the target range, but when hunting, this is the one because of the light weight. This is quality all around, it should last a long time. I like the two stage light trigger, ( pyramyd says that it is 5 lbs, but it is not, it is the same as the rm-200 and avenger 1100 at 3.3 lbs) I like the auto safety (but be sure to cock all the way back or you won't re-set the safety and will have to take a shot at 10lbs trigger pull).
Things I Would Have ChangedI would like the sights on the rm-2000, but you should really scope this rifle with at least a centerpoint 3-9x40 (on special out of the package for $49), add the mounting fee and get a free plastic case, it is worth it.
What Others Should KnowAll mendoza air rifles like the fattest pellets you can find, so far the best I have found are the german RWS hobbies and super point. The beeman are a close second. I have been trying to find the wasp from england, but not found them yet.
As the owner of 70 or more pellet guns, rifles in .22 and .177 cal., pistols in both cals., most all spring propelled but a few pumps, and all purchased from Pyramid Air, this rlfle deffinately impressed me immediately. I was first pleased at the light weight of the weapon, I chose the .22 cal. synthetic stock model, but what most excited me was the fact that I was sighting in a scope on another gun at approximately 60 yrds. when I recieved the new Mendoza. Just for fun I armed the Mendoza right out of the box and with no adjustments at all I fired at the same target from exactly the same distance using only the open ramp sights that were on the gun. The first hit was a clean bullseye in a 5.5 x 5.5 Gamo target. Just to see if it was a fluke I reloaded and fired again. The 2nd round was also a clean bullseye about one quarter inch to the right of the first round. I was of course firing from a seated position with a barrel rest made out of rolled up towels, as I had been with the scoped rifle. I'm a 56 yr. old man with the eyesight to go with it so all the credit goes to the dead on accuracy of the Mendoza as it left the factory. Cudos to Mendoza.
Things I Would Have ChangedWith a fps. of 950 in .22cal. combined with the light weight and the exstrordinary accuracy I wouldn't make one adjustment, not even to add a scope.
What Others Should KnowIf you are a beginner with no real specific purpose for a rifle other than to try your hand at plinking or maybe some pest control around your property this is a product you should seriously consider. With an excellent price and plenty of knock down power with-in 50 yards using the right pellets the Mendoza .22cal. is your gun.

POWER,weight,auto safety
Things I Would Have ChangedRear sight - Stock material !
What Others Should KnowThe power is worth price paid. 1. The stock is made out of some kind of soft wood or composite. DENTS & DINGS will definitely show up.With this stock the rifle is about 1 lb lighter then the walnut stock version. 2. Rear sight - NOTHING good to say about it !! If you can, replace it or mount a scope. The LFT / RHT adjustment is limited. If you go to far Right or Left when you cock the rifle the sight will hit the inside of the stock. Therefore messing the rear sight up and the stock.
