    • Close up of Barrel - I covered the barrel and cocking lever in heat shrink to protect them from scratches and fingerprints. Seems also to help dampen spring vibration to a small degree.
    • Close up of Ball-Detent Stop and Barrel Crown - I had to pull off the cocking lever stop to enshroud the barrel in heat shrink. Consequently, that little rubber bumber between the barrel and cocking lever had to go. Here you can see the o-rings I use as bumper stops instead. Only needs one, but two looks cool. The o-rings on the tip of the barrel are just extras. Heat shrink extends beyond barrel to protect tip (does not affect firing behavior).
    • Close up of Trigger - The factory trigger is pretty smooth, but there is quite a bit of room for improvement. Maybe mine was a Friday or Monday job. I disassembled the trigger assembly, polished all contact points, and lubed with a light lithium grease. The trigger blade itself is the only part made of aluminum, and it had a disappointingly rough/dull finish with minor tooling marks. I sanded it with 400/600-grit and polished with Scotch-Brite pads to remove the scratches and give it a clean satin finish. Also notice the hole drilled in the trigger guard… allows for both 1st and 2nd stage travel adjustments without removing guard.
    • Close up of Cocking Lever Linkage - The cocking lever linkage has some minor play and rattles whenever the lever is closed, with or without the gun cocked. For added stealth, I stuck a little round felt pad over the stock bracket mounting screw. It was the perfect fix. I used these same felt pads in a couple of other places to protect the finish when I lay the gun on it on its side.
