Things I liked:I seem to prefer a "thumbhole" stock, and this air rifle has the best "feel" I have found yet. It has proven to be very accurate right out of the box, and as it gets more use, the accuracy continues to improve. The scope is very nice, and works as well on my 10 yard indoor range as it does outside dealing with critters in the yard.. Things I would have changed:The full length barrel shroud adds a bit more weight than I would like, but the trade-off is that is seems to help stabilize the gun when it is fired, so..? What others should know:Very nice package deal.
Things I liked:EVERYTHING! -- Seriously, this is the best air rifle I have ever had. It was more accurate out of the box than some of my more "seasoned" air guns. The combo is excellent, with the Leapers scope being top notch, and the droop compensating one-piece mount makes it a breeze to sight in and it holds it's zero over time. Things I would have changed:Nothing. What others should know:This gun has the advantage of allowing you to have both "iron sights" (which are excellent) and a top quality scope -- a very nice combination.
Things I liked:Very nice cleaning kit -- it really makes it easy to start a good routine of mainenance for you air guns. Protect your investment in your AG's with a quality kit like this... Things I would have changed:Nothing. What others should know:It is important to use cleaning tools and oils that are specifically for air guns -- it may not be obvious, but cleaning rods & brushes for powder burners are NOT the same size and could harm the rifling in your barrel...
Things I liked:It is great when a product simply works as it should -- no fuss, no problems. These rings are like that, and a good value on top of that... I am very pleased with them, as they added the extra height to my scope to make it a more natural sight line when I settle into the gun to shoot. Things I would have changed:NOTHING! What others should know:Just that these are a good value and high quality -- try them, you will NOT regret it...
Things I liked:I know that Crosman pellets may not have the "cool factor" of some of the more exotic brands, but the value for the money makes up for that. These pellets are a good economical choice for backyard plinking or eliminating backyard pests. Things I would have changed:A small bit more weight would help with the impact power for pests like Starlings, etc... What others should know:Don't forget to take advantage of the "free 4th tin" when you buy 3 tins of pellets -- that just makes a good value better, and covers the cost of shipping...
Things I liked:Right out of the box, this air rifle was accurate -- within the first 100 shots, it is already capabable of producing dime size groups at 10 yards shooting offhand with no rest or support! I was confident the gun would be "good" since I took advantage of Pyramid Air's "10 for 10$" service, but this is far better than expedted! Things I would have changed:As with almost all Crosman air rifles, the trigger has an excessively long second stage, which adds an extra "challenge" to accurate shooting, but that was known in advance -- I only wish Crosman would improve on this trigger... What others should know:The Nitro Venom represents a very good value, and delivers great performance, accuracy, and a lower than normal noise level.
Things I liked:For the price, these pellets deliver accuracy and performance. Every air rifle seems to have it's own personality, and thus may "like" different pellets, but I've found that if I have a supply of these Beeman hollow points and the ever popular Crosman hollow points, one or the other will make my air guns "happy". Things I would have changed:For me, I would prefer to have a tin with a "screw-on" lid so it is a bit more secure when carrying them around... What others should know:Nothing...
Things I liked:This chrony simply WORKS! The "Quick Start" instructions got me using it quickly, and the detailed user manual has answered any questions I had. This unit was easy to setup and has worked flawlessly for me -- what more could you ask for? Things I would have changed:Nothing. What others should know:I tried a "cheaper" unit from an online company and although it worked, it was terribly picky and hard to get to work consistently -- shots had to be aimed with great care to avoid errors, etc. This Shooting Chrony Beta has worked so smoothly and consistently I wish I had never tried the "cheaper" unit, which turned out bo be a waste of time and money. Do yourself a favor - get a Shooting Chrony and start out "right"...
Things I liked:This scope is a perfect example of "just right" for my airgun shooting. I have found that more fancy scopes with additional features are too heavy and don't really add anything NECESSARY for good shooting performance. This scope combines the simplicity of 4x power (I find I don't need variable power scopes for most of my airguns) with the super valuable Adjustable Objective (AO) functionality. Things I would have changed:Nothing What others should know:Just buy it -- you won't regret it! I liked mine so much I have already ordered another one for another of my air rifles!
Things I liked:Extremely solid mount for installing a scope on a "springer" airgun, eliminates many possible sources of damage to the scope due to it's one-piece design. Things I would have changed:nothing
Things I liked:I have found that at least one of my airguns just LOVES these pellets. I normally use RWS SuperDomes when I want a "domed" pellet, but my Crosman/WalMart 'Fury' shoots these Gamo 'Hunters' much more accurately (0.12" center-to-center 4 shot group at 10 yards) than any other pellet I've tried in that airgun! Things I would have changed:Larger quantity tins would be nice!
Things I liked:I resisted the urge to try something like this and told myself I didn't "need" it -- I was wrong! This handy tool eliminates the funbling with a tin while hunting, and adds the advantage of consistently seated pellets every time for greater accuracy. Things I would have changed:Nothing except possibly use more of a "camo" color for when hunting..? What others should know:Buy it -- you won't regret it.
Things I liked:I am very imprssed with this "new generation" Gamo airgun! The IGT gas-piston system is smooth and powerful, and a huge improvement over the "twang", noise, etc. associated with spring-pistons... The new trigger is another huge improvement over the older version. All of this combine with the relative light weight of this airgun to create an easy-to-carry airgunthat has GREAT accuracy. Things I would have changed:Sling mounts would be nice when the airgun is used for hunting..? What others should know:In preliminary testing, with a number of different pellet designs, the airgun consistently produced groups less than 1/2" at 10 yards -- that is as good as any airgun I own!
Things I liked:The "Doomsday" concept adds a bit of "fun factor" to this package. The airgun/stock combo works well, and makes for an easy to carry, assemble, load/pump/shoot package. Accuracy is as good as could be expected for a short-barrel "carbine", and the .22 caliber adds impact on the target. I, personally, like the accessories, as it is nice to have a first aid kit "just in case", and the water bottle can come in handy when hunting or just roaming the woods "plinking" - the same is tru for the targets. Things I would have changed:It would be nice, and fit the "doomsday" image better if the backpack was in "camo" or at least an earthtone (tan, green, or brown). Black is an un-natural color, and isn't good for the woods, etc.. What others should know:Nothing I can think of...
