Things I liked:I purchased this gun for my 7 year old daughter. We've owned and used the gun for about a year now. I've been extremely pleased with this purchase. The gun is light weight, shoots very accurate but as others have said, is hard to pump up for a young child. Therefore, I pump the gun for her and she shoots it. Perfect gun for teaching gun safety and the basics of shooting. We have only shot BBs and not pellets. Very accurate with BBs from 10 - 25 yards using sights only. Things I would have changed:Make the pumping arm a bit longer, which might lesson the effort required to pump up the gun.
Things I liked:This is my first single pump pellet gun. After reading through lots of reviews, I decided to go with the Umarex Octane .177. I've only had the air rifle for a couple of weeks but I am very happy with my purchase. The gun looks like a beast! I don't have any problem cocking the gun or pulling the trigger. After a few shots to adjusting the sights, I had half dollar groups of 10 shots each at 15 yards. Not going to win me any shooting contest but good enough to kill a few rodents/pests. I put on the scope today and sighted it in. I was shooting dime size groups with the scope. The scope seems very good but only time will tell if it holds up to the moderate recoil of the air rifle. The gun does feel heavy to hold but I like a solid feeling gun. The only question for me is durability but given the 3 year guarantee, not really a problem! Thumps up to Umarex! Things I would have changed:Given the price, build and included scope, I wouldn't change anything. What others should know:Even with the built in silencer, I still found the air rifle to be louder than I expected. I was shooting Baracuda Power, copper plated, 10.65 gram pellets. I chose some heavier pellets to avoid any breaking of the sound barrier, as I didn't want to disturb the neighbors. It's probably about half the sound that a .22 rifle would make but still shot louder than I expected.
Things I liked:Bought these to shoot with a Umarex Octane .177. I was very happy with the results and the copper coating helps keep the lead dust down. Things I would have changed:If possible, make an even heavier .177 version. Something around 15 grains would be perfect!
