Things I liked:Great overall performance. Clean uniform consistent pellets. Savage appearance. Heavy weight. Dynamic impact shock. Very accurate in short to medium range. Things I would have changed:Long range accuracy suffers a bit, but it is a trade off of its ballistic shape and ballistic impact. What others should know:Take your friends outside and shoot a pop can filled with water. Try this with many pellets. Then try Poly's. I think you will see a dramatic difference!
I used a Factory M Rod 25.
Things I liked:THE POWER! Pretty quiet for a large break barrel. Quite accurate for this set up. I think it looks great too. This rifle packs a wallop and I honestly think, next to my M Rod 25, this is my most powerful air rifle. Things I would have changed:Yup, the trigger ... Worst trigger I have EVER used. My Daisy Red Rider has a better trigger hands down. No kidding! Lol. What others should know:Besides needing to a Red Rider trigger swap lol, this rifle is awesome. After close to finishing the 500rd tin of Premiers that come with the rifle, I am pleased to say that the accuracy is very good for such a powerful break barrel. Either the trigger is starting to smooth out, or I'm getting used to it ( it still stinks though ). Use ARTILLERY HOLD! It is a must to ring any accuracy out of the XL.
Things I liked:Overall I am tickled to own such a rare and powerful pellet rifle. The rifle looks great. It is lighter than it looks and handles great. The jaw dropping looks I get are classic every time I let the lead fly! Things I would have changed:The trigger is way to stiff, but it was solved when I had it tuned. Loading port works fine, I just prefer bolt action. What others should know:Well.. Like many others I had my 909s professionally tuned to close to 300 ft/lb and the trigger lightened up to 3.5 lb. Now I believe I have something to shake a stick at. Should've already came that way tho...
