Things I liked:I was given an air rifle when I was a kid. It was a great way for my father to teach me firearms safety. Between college and several cross country moves I lost track of that air rifle.
I can remember how much fun I had with it and decided after a lot of research to purchase another one.
This is a great rifle. I have shot about 200 rounds and its accuracy keeps improving. I have gone from shooting soda cans to shooting pennies taped to the cans at 20 yards.
The consistency of accuracy of a rifle in this price range was a very pleasant surprise.
After 50 rounds the rifle has become very quiet.
It has the look and feel of a quality rifle. I am going to keep track of this one.
Things I would have changed:The scope that came with the rifle took a bit more adjustment time to settle in than I am used to. The erector tube does not respond immediately to adjustments. This simply means that during the sighting process it takes 3 to 4 shots before any adjustment that has been made is finalized. Not a big problem - it does mean that one needs to take their time.
For the price this scope, once settled in, gets the job done and is getting the job done reliably. What others should know:Don't bother putting the scope until the 100 rounds have been shot. It takes a while for the rifle to settle in. Afterwards mount the scope.
Decide on the type of pellet you want to shoot and keep using that same brand and weight. I am shooting RWS Superdome 8.3gr. There is noticeable difference when I have switched to another brand and pellet weight. Why bother? RWS makes a great pellet with a lot of consistency.
Things I liked:To shoot accurately the pellet must have quality and consistency. RWS Superdome gets the job done. It is a great target and field pellet. What others should know:Find a pellet brand and weight and stick with it.
Things I liked:I am having a great time with target set-up. It is easy to re-set and keep shooting. Makes for some fun competition. Folds down flat, which makes it easy to transport and store. Things I would have changed:The shrink wrap packaging is a challenge to get through. It takes some time to get the plastic wrapping off of all the parts. What others should know:One can improve the re-setting by applying some WD-40 to the swing mounts. This simply means that it does not take as much foot pound energy to reset the targets. Use this type of target for plinking fun - not for sighting in.
