Things I liked: Build quality is excellent, power is awesome. I ordered the 48 in 22 ca and couldn't be happier with it. Shooting @ 20 yards I have yet to shoot a group that couldn't be covered with a dime. I've been shooting cp's and crow magnums through it with incredible results. Dropped a crow in my garden @ 40 yards, head shot. Never knew what hit em. The mildot scope is a great choice too. I highly recommend this combo. Best bang for the buck Things I would have changed: Although the scope and mount setup appears to be very strong, they do sit a bit high off the cheek piece. The trigger is not adjustable for weight of pull. Only travel. Although I don't mind that its plastic, I would prefer a slightly more curved profile of the trigger.
This is a spot on review. I have picked up a used RWS 48/52 in .177. Handsome air gun, indeed. Swirling beech wood patterns. flames, etc..just handsome. But, I will hardly use it..Cocking the beast is unreal. I'll just grab my light weight , gold tirgger , easy cocking Gamo Big Cat 1200, .177, and have fun. I'll just look at the RWS 48 and admire it. The Beast ! Yes, that is its new name.

Things I liked:Right out of the box this rifle is an accurate shooter. In 22cal. using CP's I have yet to shoot a group at 20 yards that could not be covered with a dime. At 50 yards I was shooting just a tad over an inch.
On top of the incredible accuracy this gun has tremendous power! I dropped a crow @ 40 yards with a head shot. He never new what hit him.
The Leapers scope with mildot was a very good match for this rifle. The mildots really help with yardage estimates. Although , sighted @ 30yards I found no need to use them out to 50 yards.
This is my 3rd RWS rifle and it is already my favorite. this gun really packs a punch and has fantastic accuracy. No buyers remorse here. I'm a happy camper. Squirrels and Crows beware, your days are numbered! Things I would have changed: This a hefty rifle. Not for the meek. If your going to hunt in the field with it get a sling.
The trigger if very nice but is not adjustable for weight of pull. Only the second stage is adjustable. The trigger did come set at 3lb from the factory though, which is pretty nice for a hunting rig. What others should know:Great hunting rifle with accuracy for field target. Not a great choice for women or children. Its a howitzer.
Things I liked:Overall quality is very nice. It appears to be well designed and made. Things I would have changed:Air output was very low. Takes a long time to fill the res. on the Marauder.60 to 70 pumps with increasing difficulty... quite a workout. What others should know:Get a scuba tank instead and you'll have more fun shooting. Instead of waiting from your heart rate to go down you can plug it in and in 3 to 4 seconds have a full tank and be up and shooting.
