Things I liked:This is an impressive gun. I have shot three clips so far, but w/o my scope mounted, so it was from the hip and sighted along the pickatinny rails at some 2x4's and was afraid they'd go through where they weren't doubled-up! The Max simply rocks on looks, and performance in the .25 cal version, as far as I can tell is equally awesome! I got the refurbished one, and am glad to have a chance at such a sweet deal on such a quality product. If I could change anything, it may just be price, but a triple mag would be nice! Oh and maybe someone with some real gumption would make something like this in the good 'ol USA! Things I would have changed:Possibly a lighter stock- carbon fiber perhaps? (high on the cool factor),or molded plastic as an option to keep costs down, a battery charge indicator would be nice and somewhat cheap I would guess, since running the battery low could void warranty. I know the barrel is baffled, but it's short and it is loud as a result, so some more silencing would be nice, especially since it hits so hard -there will be inevitable loud noises! What others should know:I have to say I have never had so much fun with a gun (well maybe since my Daisy Double-barreled Remington knock-off BB Gun-that made me the coolest kid with a gun) and now I look forward to showing it off the same way!
Things I liked:An Excellent accurate gun, able to hold its own against much more expensive guns. I bought a Discovery .22 cal and loved it, so I figured this would be the better big bro. Yep, good guess-along with all the excellent reviews out there already -I highly recommend this gun! Things I would have changed:At 8.5 lbs and add a scope and lead it's hefty, but well balanced, I would (and did )add a sling. I would reccomend a metal clip as the plastic ones seem a bit cheesy compared to Evanix's. I did add a bit of plexitube in the chamber to de-ping and added a stronger spring -getting more and quieter shots. I also added a muzzlebrake with more baffles that is the same diameter making it a bit longer -really suiting the guns overall apppearance. What others should know:Definitely some easy upgrades that make an already great gun better are available out there on youtube and worth a try if you have the knack.
Things I liked:A very nice gun. I have a few from Pyramid and figure this is a great large caliber gun to complete my collection, and am impressed. The pellets are substantial to say the least and definitely will take down large game. the gun is well balanced and not as heavy as my Marauder, so I can't wait to carry it in the field for some boar hunts! I sighted it in roughly in at the range and a few around were impressed as well. Things I would have changed:It's hard to say but the only thing that seemed as though it didn't quite look right was the triple barrel end piece. It is a different metal, and just looks like an added on piece -yes, I know it is, but there may be a cleaner way, even perhaps the same metal as on the barrel, or something completely different. One other minor point was the cocking lever, A nice piece of titanium or other metal here would finish the gun, and although the lever works well it does have the casting marks left and could be finished nicer. These are minor points of aesthetics and should not detour anyone from owning such a quality gun though! What others should know:Just a note on the stock-very nice piece of Mahogany, and a great finished look, and feels good and balanced in your hands.
