Things I liked:Excellent fit on my Benjamin rifle. Finish on all parts is very good. The clamping action provides a very secure attachment to the action of the rifle. Things I would have changed:I would like a lower mount, but that would make pellet insertion very difficult. Current design is probably a reasinable compromise. What others should know:I have two newer Benjamin rifles and the fit is excellent. However I have an older Benjamin that appears similar to the new ones. However the older receiver has a rounded top but parallel and flat sides. Therefore the Air Venturi mount does not fit this rifle.
Things I liked:Fit on my newer Benjamin guns is excellent, very solid, and it doesn't create upward pressure on the barrel. Things I would have changed:I would like to see a mount that positions the scope tube as low as the rail on this mount. What others should know:Using weaver Quad-Lock mounts, my scope center is two inches above the bore center. If shooting the distance for which you having sighted-in, there is no problem. However with the very high scope position, and the relatively short distance shot with the pellet gun, impact varies significantly from the crosshair center when shooting other than the sighted-in distance.
Things I liked:Functionality is very good. Rifle looks great. I've been shooting nickel size groups at 10 meters (with my old eyes). It's heavy, but as a result it's very stable. Trigger is about average for the price. Things I would have changed:It has a great looking set of fiber optic iron sights, but the range of the windage adjustment is very limited, and in the case of my rifle it is too limited. With the sight set at the limit, my groups are 0.6 inches right of center at 10 meters. What others should know:I am returning the rifle for an exchange because I plan to use it without a scope. The Mendoza receiver sight may have been able to zero the rifle, but they were out of stock. Thus I was unable to evaluate this option.
Things I liked:The Mendoza appears to be very well made and very sturdy. The click adjustments work well. I like the method of clamping onto a rifle as it allows a wide tolerance for groove width (unlike the Williams Guide #54). Things I would have changed:The aperture is very large. I prefer smaller, so I would like to see the aperture threaded, not pressed in. This would allow easy replacement. The minimum heigth is to tall. I can zero with the top of the front sight hood on my TF99P (not the front bead). Could they mount the aperture below the bridge instead of above it? What others should know:Despite the issues, with my old eyes I can shoot better with the Mendoza than with the open sights (which are very good on the Tech Force 99P).
