Things I liked:Its a hunting pellet. It does what its name says. It will preform within the range of your rifle. Test rifle-FX Gladiator at about 35 FPE, Im not going to bore you with a bunch of ballistics, just going to say, my list of game with this pellet is large, you can do as well. I tested this pellet this fall, did not use another except for plinking. It difinantly has its place, it depends on what you want. Things I would have changed:If you changed the pellet, you would have a different one, LOL What others should know:Its heavy. Use it in a higher powdered air rifle and it will make your rifle even better.
Things I liked:This pellet is very well made. I got what I paid for. A good deal is the 4th tin free, the packing was supurb, a must for me. Test rifle-FX Gladiator. Under high power, they cronographed at 940 fps. Im didnt use lower power settings, because these are another hunting pellet. I grouped them at 25 yards, MOA is ez to caculate that way. (Im a Tom Gaylord wannabe). I was impressed. Most holes usually at least touching or better. They did hold up to the speed. Now, time to take these things to the feild. I decided to use an MT mushroom can starting off at 50 yards. I also had some Crow Magnums with me, never go anyplace without those. I held at where I would have with the Crows, but they shot over the can. Could it be? I shot at the can a few times with the Crows to verify. Yes! These were shooting a bit flatter and I was able to hit the can better out there. No. They arent going to relace the Crows. I did notice that they are close the same weight as the Crows. Its a great pellet. So I had a great day plinking in Eastern Wa. Nothing died, except the MT mushroom can. I put in my pack for recycleing and left the place as I found it. Hopefully the can will become something really cool, like a Toyota Tundra or somethng. Do they mushroom? Well the can was a mushroom can. Time will tell. Im going to give these a shot (pun)when Blue Grouse opens in two months. Things I would have changed:I think its a great pellet. What others should know:These did fit in my magazine, so it was an EZ pellet to use. 18.2 grains people, so its starting to get up there. Thats a nice weight for the feild.
Things I liked:I cant say much that hasent already been said. I can tell you about my great experiences with the 54 for the past 5 years. They were wonderful. What a great rifle. Sure, ya gotta get used to the weight, but it isnt that bad. Sure, I hunt with it too. This has got to be one of the greatest camping toys I have. When the fish aint bittin, the 54 is. Would you like to borrow mine? No way, get your own. This rifle seems to be a cult. They seem different than the rest. Lots of tunes, acc, etc out there, none of which I have did, mine is completely stock. Of course I did add a scope, but that is a given. They arent really that loud, I would class it as about medium, and yes, I do use it in my back yard, and it is urburn where I live. I am a good ol boy, and thats the kind of neighbors have. Lots of people out there just dont respect airguns, but take a look around you. They are up and comming, and the 54 is gonna be around quite a while yet. Love this thing. It does take a bit to break it in. You will notice a speed increase, also the same for accuracy. Its like alot of stuff, just gets better and better. Really now, its the only airgun I need, but I bought several anyways. This is my favorite out of all the airguns I have. Fish is not the only thing that fears me. Things I would have changed:Nothing. Great rifle. What others should know:I seem to enjoy the rifle with mostly RWS pellets. I like pellets less than 16 grains in weight. That also puts the Preditor in this class. Those also work great in this rifle. Its fast on the Crony. This rifle is pricey, so take your biggest wallet with you when you buy one.
