Things I liked:Great gun for the price. Well made and functions as advertised. The .25 cal which I purchased is far more powerful than any of the .22 RWS 54 or the .20 RX-1. That .25 pellet makes one impressive hole in any target.Just look at the size of these pellets and compare them to the other two calibers mentioned above. This gun is accurate and fun to shoot - whether you are just plinking or hunting. This gun is quiet so you won't disturb you neighbors. Things I would have changed:More shots per fill would be nice. Maybe an extra 8 shot clip made of metal. What others should know:Keep in mind this caliber take a lot of air for each shot. I get around 16 shots per fill (2900 to 2100 psi)as per factory settings. The sweet spot for this gun seem to be around the 2600 to 2400 psi with the velocity around 860 fps with the JSB Exact Jumbo. I tried the HDD unit in this gun and it did not make any difference to the number of shots per fill or the consistence of the velocities with each shot. The HDD will make your gun less smooth in the cocking although I tried graphite lube to make it smooth as possible. If somebody had better luck with the HDD I sure would like to know. If you sight in for 40 yds and use a standard mil dot scope with JSB's you'll be within 1 inch from 10 yds to 40 and 4 dots low on 100 yds. The energy remaining for this 25 cal. at a 100 yds will be about 18 ft# which is what most high power non PCP's have at the muzzle. Great gun for the money - you won't be disappointed.
Things I liked:Small enough - easy to carry with you to the field. Paintball shops will fill this with the proper adapter to 4500 psi with no problem. Fits in a soft lunch box just fine. Things I would have changed:Expensive! Maybe a gauge that would show how much pressure you got left in the tank. Slightly larger tank that you could get 25 fills. What others should know:I have a .25 Marauder and I get about 12-14 fills if I fill the gun to 2900 psi and let it go down to 2100 psi before topping it off. If you have only 2500 psi left you are going to get about 8 shots out of the Mrod. Go to the paintball store to have it refilled when you are down to 2200 psi.
Things I liked:Consistency and accuracy from .25 Marauder - also the larger quantity in each tin Things I would have changed:Nothing What others should know:Shooting out of the .25 cal Marauder it gives slightly better groups than the Benji domed. It also shoots flatter at a higher velocity (860 fps)with a fill between 2900 and 2100 psi. The energy retained, I found to be very close to the Beeman Kodiaks 31 grain pellet at a 100 yds (1-2 ft#s difference). Out of my Marauder this pellet seems to be the best. Check it out and compare this pellets performance in the Hawke's Arm Chair Ballistic program.
