Things I liked:All the reviews I read before purchasing this pistol were dead on. Having fired a Diana ($259.00) before this one I can attest to how wonderful the Hatsan 25 is. I've installed an inexpensive AMP Tactical 30mm red/green ($30.00) dot sight on mine. After dialing the scope in I'm hitting 1" spinning targets just about every time at 10 yards and I'm "in the red" center of paper targets at 25 yards. This pistol is accurate. I've kept the cocking assist screwed in. This is very neat! No messing around with putting it on and taking it off. You'll need the assist. Cocking the weapon with the assist isn't a problem. Cocking the weapon without the assist ... well ... forget about it. Put it this way, the Diana has a cocking pressure of 19 lbs. The Hatsen without the assist is about 50 lbs. The Hatsen with the assist screwed on (which looks good screwed on, by the way) takes about the same cocking pressure as the Diana. Things I would have changed:The trigger pull. Adjusted to the lightest setting it's still a little heavy for my taste. Yet, the trigger pull is definitely similar to other pellet pistols I've shot. What others should know:Great deal for the money. The Hatsen 25 + a AMP Tactical 30mm red/green scope + the $10 fitting rail + pellets + a pellet pen holder + silicone lube for about $200.00! You can't beat this deal and, more importantly, you will not be selling yourself short.
