I noticed that you stated that "the 2300s & 2300T looks like a 2240 with a .177cal barrel but make no mistake it is not". I have not seen either of these air pistols in person yet but by your discription and by pics I have seen it appears to me that what it chops up to being is basiclly a 2240 or 2250 with all the aftermarket goodies installed. For all 22xx models you can purchuse a longer barrel,(both in .22cal and .177cal, 10" and up), a power adjuster, a long or short steel breech, and wooden grips, just to name a few. The couple of things I'm not sure about, however, is the trigger adjuster however I'm sure it could be modified to the 22xx platform. The difcultly with loading the 22xx's and having to tilt the gun upwards sometimes so the pellet won't snag, due to the breech screw being set too low, could easily be fixed by adding a longer breech screw, which is what I'm sure Crosman did for the 2300S & 2300T. I guess what I'm getting at is that it sounds like Crosman just built a modfied 22xx series pistol but in .177cal. It has come a long way since the model 150. None the less it sounds like a nice gun and I'd purchuse one if 1. They made it in .22cal and 2. If I knew that I couldn't have my 2240 be pretty much the same gun when moddified, which it basically is now but in .22cal and minus the trigger adjuster.
Anyway thats my take on it.
