I was given this for a Christmas present from my wife maybe 5 years ago and I use it right away on a bow hunt and using it today sitting on my porch with zero wind and it still sucks.

Bought two of the original thermacell when they first came out. They worked perfectly and kept the mosquitoes away. This hunting season I bought a new one after the bottom that covers the butane, broke. The new model does not heat up enough and DOES NOT keep mosquitoes away. I got eat up. The next morning I used my old one and it again worked flawlessly minus the bottom cover.

I use them for early fall deer hunting, I am able to sit in my deer blind all day long without a mosquitto, just a reminder, pad need to be replaced every 2 hours

I bought this in July 2025, and the little red light letting me know this is lit no longer lights up, and I keep having to push the start button because it doesn't stay lit.

I have been a long time Thermacell supporter, but I have bought four of the 300 series for hunting I have a lot of the others I’ve never had a problem all four of these 300s I cannot keep running. They will fire up for a quarter second and then go out too many times they’ve left me stranded in the south Florida mosquito woods, swatting mosquitoes cussing a brand new thermacell not sure what the difference is. I have used multiple different cartridges for propane to make sure it’s new and fresh with no difference. i’m not buying another 300 series that is for sure.

IH had several of these mosquito repellent devices over the years. But this time I went and bought another one, but it would not burn. Luckily I have my receipt returned it.

I bought this device 2 months ago and now it will not turn off and it empties the fuel cell just sitting.

Those is my second one I've bought, they work great

I never go in the turkey woods without it. I also take it with me fishing just about every time.

I have used these for a long time sitting in a beaver swamp in upstate New York during black fly season not a black fly not a bug in sight. Get you one.

Read the reviews but still was not a believer. I purchased the MR300 hunt pack to try on a upcoming fishing trip to Canada. Had it with me when I was in one of the National Forests in MN to check out a remote trout lake. Had my lantern burning with citronella and cedar fuel yet the mosquitos were still super thick. Went to the truck, opened the Thermacell box, installed the fuel and pad, turned it on and one click the unit started heating up. Within 10 minutes there was not a mosquito around me. When I would walk out of it's range, I would be covered with them again. Once back in town I told 36 friends, family, and coworkers about it. Since that time, at least 18 of those people have purchased them. Great product. Get yourself a couple.

I have been using the MR 300 for yrs with no issues. I used it last spring in SC while hunting hogs. When the sun goes down mosguitos come out and sounded like vultures going to a road kill. I turned on the repeller and five minutes later they all left

I agree with other reviewers that te pads have changed. They turn white after an hour. Not after 4 hours. Please Therrmacell react to this. What has happened? Isn't it a problem that they turn white so soon. Will they still work? Have they changed? What is going on? The refills already cost a fortune and now they work just 1 hour. It is the only device that works! But normally people cannot afford it anymore like this.

Worked one time. Would never light again. My third purchase. Three times a charm. Expensive lesson learned. I've bought my last thermacel

I love the unit! Always have! I don’t hunt early season without one! (Northwest Florida). I lost my previous one so ordered another…I really don’t care for the design of this holder and clip (will not stay on, going to glue in place)…luckily I found my older unit…I left on one of my stands during preseason scout/set up lol. The holder is the only reason I didn’t give a 5 star review

I’ve used thermacell since they came out but the pads are so weak now I can’t keep mosquitoes off my ears with it sitting on my shoulder. They should come with a fly swat

I purchased one of these portable Repeller's about 3 years ago and this item works like the day I purchased it. We use it when fishing at a local fishing spot (or should I call it a mosquito Sancturary). As long as there is no wind it works great and we are bite free.

I have been using these products in Texas and Alaska for 3 years. I have sensitive skin so these are the best repellants for me. They are easy to use, very portable and really work well. I started with one and now have five of various models. I recommend them to everyone who is looking for a mosquitoe repellant. Thanks Thermocell for making this amazing product.

My son bought this for me for Mother’s Day, he knows I spend most of my time outdoors. Before my Thermacell gift I would end the evening with multiple bug bites! Not anymore!!
