Things I liked:

The nitro version was, hard to find at a reasonable price but pyramid hooked it up real nice, and no shipping charges, cant beat that. I don't shoot animals but this gun is accurate and would kill just about anything that weighs from a coyote on down.

Things I would have changed:

Nothing really, but the barrel was super dirty like it had been resting in a, coal mine for a couple of years and some minor rust, no pun intended. But had some Ballistol on deck so it was nothing.

What others should know:

This tr77 nitro is strong. I have a gamo silent stalker igt and its 1300 fps. Those sub sonic pellets would penetrate this skate board I was shooting but would not pierce, this tr77 is 1200 fps and was blowing the back out.Crosman is official, yeah there chinese, but the chinese been around along time.

Things I liked:

Most everything.

Things I would have changed:

Storage in pistol grip as well as in the butt and iron sights

What others should know:

When mine arrived I shot it several times and it was fairly powerful. The issue I had was that the 'suppressor' on the end of the barrel was not inline with the barrel itself. If there were iron sights on it I doubt it could have been possible to use them. I noticed it when mounting the scope. I couldn't deal with that because of potential (if not actual) clipping the pellet as it left the Barrel. I returned it and PA was more that satisfactory in trading it for the Hatsan 95, which is a great gun. BOTTOM LINE: If I could have viewed a second TR-77 rifle before I traded it I would have but I didn't want to take a second chance with one on mail order. Except for the manufacturing flaw I described, it was good!

    Things I liked:

the weight and it's got the perfect feel and its dead on balls at 20-25 yards(nail driver) with 7.9gr crossman premier hollow point very powerful gun it is now my go to gun..my other gun is a gamo bone collector .22 which i have dialed in just as good but this gun feels so good to handle and shoulder's just right...I do use a front sand bag when i shoot fyi..I can rest it on the short barrel or the forearm and get the same results.

    Things I would have changed:

I upgraded to a centerpoint 3-9x40AO scope and put a UGT dovetail to weaver mount.

    What others should know:

great gun great power i would recomend this gun to anyone but since its light it does kick a little and the second stage of the trigger is long, iv had misfire's bc of this but im at least 1000 rounds in and im used to it now.

    Things I liked:

Tactical look, light weight, storage in butt stock, great price, feels good stock to shoulder with correct eye placement to scope. Nice balance to the rifle at rear of foregrip. I like the pistol grip type stocks. Nitro piston guns can remain cocked and loaded for hours, great while pest hunting.

    Things I would have changed:

Sell it without the cheap scope and rings and install a better trigger. Add additional storage in the hollow pistol grip and sling atachments would be nice.

    What others should know:

The TR77 as pictured is not what I received, I received the TR77 NPS. The S stands for Short barrel. No big deal, I like the looks of it better than the TR77 NP. I mounted the cheap scope and rings for the break in period, about 250 rounds. The scope would not hold 0 at all, and could not do better than a 2.5" 10 shot group at 25 yds. The trigger has such a long hard pull, you didn't know when the gun would go off, which I'm sure affected the grouping. After break in, the rifle has become much smoother to cock, and nowhere near as loud as new. With a new 4x12x40 scope with heavy duty rings, and some trigger work, I have reduced 25 yd 10 shot groups to 1" using Crosman Primier domed 7.9gr pellets. So as purchased accuracy was less than 4 stars, now it's a 5. This is a great rifle with a lot of potential, at a good price for the value. Accessories plentiful for tactical style rifles here at Pyramyd Air. If you receive the TR77 NPS, you will not be disappointed.

    Things I liked:

The style. Unique, and, user friendly. The power. Plenty for taking care of small varmints. The rifle shoulders easily. No after shouldering shifting around to get the rifle into a proper shooting stance. Using a proper artillery hold, this rifle is really accurate. You can easily stack pellets at ten yards. My rifle shoots medium, and, heavier pellets well. However, it does not seem to like lighter pellets around, and, under, the 7 grain mark. This could be this particular rifle, so, your rifle may be different. Don't be afraid to try the lighter grain pellets. you never know until you try.

    Things I would have changed:

Break in time was a little long. Several hundred pellets worth of break in before the rifle consistently shot accurately. This was after thoroughly cleaning the barrel out of the box. A clean barrel out of box would have been helpful. Also, the trigger is HORRIBLE, out of the box. There are several options out there to fix this. Find one that suits you. The supplied scope is inadequate, and, only serves to get you shooting until you can replace it. This rifle deserves a better supplied scope. Just buy one when you buy this rifle, and, save yourself the headache of trying to use this scope. This site sells a number of suitable scopes. Get one with an adjustable objective lens, and, your gonna love what this rifle can do.

    What others should know:

My sample is hold sensitive. In order to get it to shoot accurately, I have to use the artillery hold at the rifle's balance point, which is just in front of the trigger guard. Utilizing any other hold causes the pellet's impact point to wander. After break in, the rifle has proven itself to be an excellent hunter. It's lightweight, powerful, and VERY accurate. Using middle weight, and, heavier pellets seems to be this rifle's sweet spot. So, aside from the caveats I've mentioned above, I would recommend this rifle to friends. The trigger, and, scope issues are easily remedied, so, don't let it hinder you from trying this little jewel in the rough. It's positive attributes far outweigh it's relatively minor issues.

    Things I liked:

I got the TR77NPS and not the TR77NP that PA advertises on their site and yes I do like that. Very accurate powerful varmint killer in a sleek cool package and it's easy to shoot. I'm still feeling out the field on pellets and my best groupings have come down to an inch. I know there is more to be had with this rifle but the trigger(can be replaced) and the packaged scope(can be replaced) hold it back severely. The reticle on my packaged scope broke after about 1800 pellets. Waiting to get a UTG 3-9x32 which should be sufficient for my needs. The packaged scope mounts suck plain and simple and should be replaced.

    Things I would have changed:

The trigger is pain in the butt but the scope is a kick in the teeth. Please package a scope that the reticle doesn't break in. You build a powerful rifle and supply it with a scope that cannot handle the punishment. Thanks, but no thanks, just sell it without the crap scope.

    What others should know:

The trigger will hold your groupings back. The scope is cheap and very well may break like mine did. It's a great rifle packaged with a few faults. Drop the crap scope, crap scope mounts and throw in a better trigger and this rifle would be a beast at the same price. I'd still recommend the TR77NPS though it's a great performer.

    Things I liked:

Look and feel, nitro piston, size and weight as well as accuracy (after a proper break-in).

    Things I would have changed:

The included scope is OK for an air rifle at this price point and good up to maybe 30 yds or so. More discerning folks will want better glass. The trigger is not that great. Get a GRTIII trigger (google) and you'll love it!

    What others should know:

The accuracy isn't that great right out of the box but as you break it in, it gets better and better. The cocking effort is also pretty stiff at first, which is very common for a nitro piston air file. After about 50-70 shots it was noticeably easier and now it's nice and easy for such a high powered rifle. Before using it you should clean the barrel by pulling a bunch of patches through until they come out clean. This will give you better accuracy and consistency with your shots as well as speed up the break-in process. It was pretty dirty from the factory. The TR77 nitro piston air rifle is getting great reviews everywhere, and it should. It's a great shooting, high powered air rifle with accuracy that would normally come with a higher price tag. Great job, Crosman!

    Things I liked:

The looks. The light weight. The lack of spring twang. The FPS/FPE

    Things I would have changed:

Auto safety. I like automatic safeties, though will get used to engaging this one over time.

    What others should know:

PA did 10 for 10 and came up with mid 860's FPS with 7.1 I cleaned the barrel and tightened the screws and was shooting crosman 7.9's at mid 980's. I cant say about accuracy as it only has a dozen rounds through it across my chrony. When it is cool enough I will go outside and test accuracy, though I dont expect perfection until the piston settles down some. I like the look of this rifle, the weight and so far the FPE it puts out. I will rate accuracy once I get an opportunity to test it.

This has some power, definitely not a toy. I love the look and feel of the Crossman TR77 NP.

    Things I would have changed:

The scope. It's not as bad as most reviews I've read, but I am waiting for my new scope to replace the scope that came with it. The TR77 has decent accuracy with the scope, but with a better scope, varmints beware!

    What others should know:

I will give Crossman TR77 NP two thumbs up. I also own the springer version, love it as well.

    Things I liked:

The stock just falls in place when you shoulder the rifle. It feels great. Its plastic, so I don't worry about dinging up the finish. It's smoothe and easy to cock.

    Things I would have changed:

I wish the rifle was offered without scope combo... the scope that comes with it isn't worth the trouble to mount. I wish Crosman would do someting about the trigger...very long and unpredictable second stage, and feels like 15 lb pull

    What others should know:

I bought this rifle for a backyard plinker. I have neighbors, so I was concerned about how loud it would be. I've been a shooter all my life, but new to airguns, so all I have to compare is a Benji Titan NP. This gun is backyard friendly, just a touch louder than the Titan. The Titan sort of "thups" while the TR77 "twangs" Its sort of a springy sound at the end of the shot, still backyard acceptable. The gun really surprised me with its accuracy. I shot about 7 different pellets and it seems to like the CPHP the best. I am getting quarter size groups at 30 yards from a bench. It delivers the same accuracy for me no matter how I hold it. My Titan is very hold sensitive and requires a lose artillery hold for accuracy. Not the TR77! I ordered the 10 for 10 service with my rifle. Pyramyd Air checked my rifle, shot it 10 times and sent me the Chrony tape to show its velocity...975 fps with a 7.1 gr Beeman laser pellet. I highly suggest getting this service, it assures you dont get a lemon. Overall I'm thrilled with the TR77. It's an all around fun plinker and light pest control rifle. And as always, Pyramyd shipped it 2 days free!

    Things I liked:

Unique look for what it is, but I didn't find it any more comfortable than any other gun to shoot. I do like the look though. I found the scope to be a better than usual quality scope but the thing needs to be farther forward on the gun than the scope ring hole that prevents scope creep is set. Cocking was fairly easy. This is my first gas spring gun so I don't know how it is compared to others. I can't speak to it's accuracy yet since it is too cold out to take it outside and try it. Will post a follow up in spring.

    Things I would have changed:

The trigger is absolutely terrible. It felt rough, had a hard release and long follow through. If they can fix that the gun would be great.

    What others should know:

Not too bad, but it needs more design work on that trigger. Trigger is third world nasty.
