Things I liked:

I use this air rifle during competetion air riflery at my high school. I like that this rifle is accurate, relatively light, and easy to maintain and cock. Also, trigger pull doesn't require much force.

Things I would have changed:

I wish this rifle had a better "air system" because most of our rifles tend to leak which costs valueable time and points in matches. I would also change the diopters (spelling) to ones more durable and sturdy because a simple tap to the ground causes our diopters to be un-sighted.

What others should know:

This is the rifle to get if you're into a great deal and great accuracy. It's perfect for beginners and pros alike. If you have a steady hand and are always consistent, this rifle will deliever bulls eyes every shot. This is best pump air gun that I have ever used.

Things I liked:

Decent Accuracy

Things I would have changed:

Stop damaging the gun, and improve the sight

What others should know:

My gun was received damaged. There were 40 or 50 little dents all over the wood stock. It looks like they clamped the gun in a vice and totally ruined the stock. I would return it, but I don't want to go through the trouble. The sight is horrible. The peep hole is so small, and imparts a fuzzy view that is distorted and not clear. I think perhaps the hole was drilled at an angle or something. I put a scope on it, but this gun will only accept a bugbuster scope with an offset mount. At 10 to 15 yards, you can't raise the point of impact high enough to get a good shot. I am so frustrated with the damage and the horrible sight.

    Things I liked:

The Daisy 753s is reliable and accurate along with great durability. A great performer for young and old alike. Ordering is easy and everyone was very helpful.

    What others should know:

Our club purchased 14 of these to use in exhibition target contests. These replaced old Daisy 853c models after 20+ years of heavy use. I would recommend this single shot target rifle for everyday use and as a competition rifle.

    Things I liked:

The air rifle is very accurate and we are able to help our 4H kids dial in the sights. This gives the kids so much confidence in their shooting abilities.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing

    Things I liked:

Very accurate and consistent. Light. Sights are very good for being plastic.

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing. The trigger isn't great. Smooth but completely vague, you cannot feel the sear. However, good triggers are expensive, and this thing is dirt cheap, which I wouldn't change. Plus bad triggers teach you trigger discipline and I use this to practice for my real rifles.

    What others should know:

I have drilled cans at 50 meters with this thing. At that range you're lobbing the pellets, but there's enough elevation in the sights for it.

    Things I liked:

Closest thing i could find to the old Avanti 853c.

    Things I would have changed:

i liked the option of the 5 shot clip on the old Avanti 853c, sadly this is single shot only.

    What others should know:

no C02 required, single action hand pump. good for killing giant rats and vermin if you don't want to go through the process of owning a real firearm.

    Things I liked:

Very good value for the money. Accurate. Relatively low effort to pump.

    Things I would have changed:

The trigger. Almost everyone will mention this: do not expect a crisp trigger without investing some effort. The instructions are on the Pyramyd site and several other places. Mine is reasonably smooth, but it has a long travel, and is heavy for a target rifle. My Henry lever rifle, which is intended as a plinker, has a much better trigger.

    Things I liked:

Size: I used both of the provided stock extensions and the length of pull was about perfect for me. Weight: Very good. Not too light, not too heavy. Sights: For the price of this gun, they are very good. Accuracy: Excellent. Better than I expected for a gun of this price.

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing. Any changes I would wish for would drive the price up. If you want more bells and whistles like milled sights or adjustable weights, you'll have to spend the money (a lot more money) to buy one of the many top of the line match rifles out there. I wasn't going to do that and this fine gun satisfies my needs. I do not shoot competitively.

    What others should know:

I am 5ft.9in. tall. 150 lbs. Avg. build. Larger folks may want to source additional stock extensions. I found the Qiang Yuan 'Training Grade' .177cal. 8.2grain pellets to be extremely accurate in this gun. PyramydAir's 'buy 3 get one free' deal is well worth taking advantage of. I don't have 10 meters to shoot in my basement so I'm using about 8.7m.

    Things I liked:

I'm getting older. Close vision isn't what it used to be. Open sights are a challenge lately. A scope is what I need now. I have a RWS and a Beeman both with scopes. They do ok. This new 753 puts them to shame. It doesn't shoot as fast, but the accuracy is astounding ! Easily shoot in same hole at 10 yards all day long. Worth every penny and more. The gun appears to be extremely well made too.

    Things I would have changed:

Getting the pellet in correctly with a scope is a bit difficult. Trigger could be a bit better.

    What others should know:

Go buy one. Tons of fun for cheap.

    Things I liked:

This is a a better rifle than I am a shooter. I need to learn to make the most of it.

    Things I would have changed:

The instructions are lousy. I figured out how to put the shooter sling after some trial and error.

    What others should know:

The instructions specify lead pellets, but when I contacted Daisy they said any 4.5 pellets were okay. I can shoot ten meter in my house without lead.

    Things I liked:

This is a very fun rifle straight out of the box. Just one pump stroke, load, and shoot. Accuracy is excellent.

    Things I would have changed:

The trigger leaves a lot of room for improvement. This can be fixed pretty easily if you are so inclined. Polish the sear and hammer surfaces, trim 2 springs (optional), and install a screw behind the trigger guard. There are many sets of instructions available. I knocked it down a star on value because improving the trigger coming off the factory line shouldn't add much to Daisy's production cost, but would make dramatic improvements in developing young shooters talents.

    What others should know:

This rifle is designed to get kids and teens involved in shooting sports. It is simple to shoot and very accurate. Since nothing is addicting like accuracy, it has been very successful. No part of this rifle is world class competition grade, but it isn't supposed to be. It's meant to be a starter rifle for individuals not willing or able to start off at the >$1,000 level. I enjoyed the sights, but decided to add a TKO brake so as not to arouse neighbor's suspicions while taking out pests in the backyard. Since I had to take off the front sight with the TKO, I added a Hawke 2-7 x 32 AO scope. It is very accurate and ridiculously quiet now.

    Things I liked:

This gun gives you a real taste of 10 meter competition quality accuracy at an amazing price!

    Things I would have changed:

The shortcomings with the trigger and the sights are well documented by other reviewers. Those could use improvement.

    What others should know:

You're not going be able to hold this gun in the classic ISSF 10 meter stance the way it ships. The center of gravity to too far forward and there is a pump handle in the forearm where you would expect to balance it. I put 2 1/2 pounds of steel rods on the hollow stock to move the center of gravity back to the pump handle and fastened a block of wood to that handle so I can balance the gun on my fist there. Also, I find that the sights were mounted way too low so I made a custom but plate to elevate the gun. You'd have to spend a great deal more money for a gun that did not need those adjustments so I like this gun just fine at this price with the modifications I made.

    Things I liked:

    Light weight and very accurate.

    Things I would have changed:

Fix the rifle so that the trigger can be adjusted as advertised, as it comes out of the box there "NO WAY" to adjust the trigger pull weight can be adjusted. I tested the trigger pull on the rifle I purchased for my grand-daughter who joined her schools 4 H shooting team this year and it measured 4 lbs., out of the box. I would like to be able to get it down to 2 1/2 lb. pull, but it is good enough for my grand daughter to learn on seeing this is her 1st year of shooting and learning the rules. Next year I will figure some thing out for her. (4 H in IA and NE will not allow PCB's for some reasons).

    What others should know:

The only way to adjust the trigger pull is to go to GOOGLE and do a search and then do a major modification to the trigger assembly which will VOID your warranty.

Very accurate rifle for the price. Very quiet. Can hardly hear the pellet leave the rifle barrel. Great for shooting indoors or outside.

    Things I would have changed:

Wish the sights were made out of metal instead of plastic. I would rather pay more for the rifle with better sights on it than pay less and hope the sights don't break someday.
