Things I liked:I just got my Panther pro today so this review is basically my first impressions. The scope mount was a pain to install, the instructions werent very clear, but after i discovered the scope stop pins were adjustable with the provided small Allen wrench it was pretty easy. Out of the box the stop pins were too long preventing me from mounting the base flush to the scope rail, but after I adjusted them in it mounted up no problem. After I got the base secured I tightened up the scope stops and it hasnt budged with the 100 or so shots ive shot so far. This rifle is very accurate right out of the box. In the prone position I can literally shot the head off a match stick at 10 meters no problem. I was putting 5 pellets into a hole the size of 2 pellets within 10 shots. I can get good groups in seated and kneeling positions as well, but off hand shooting is very difficult due to the weight of the rifle. Maybe with practice i'll be able to do it, but my first impression is this rifle is too heavy for accurate off hand shooting. No matter what I try the scope just bounces all over the target. Its muzzle heavy. I havent tried shooting with the muzzle break removed. I might try that over the next few days. I'd also like to point out that its much quieter than I expected. WAY quieter than my old benjamin pump rifle. Its way quieter than powderless 22 rim fire rounds too. Things I would have changed:Better scope rail with a droop compensating mount. Softer butt plate. Better balance.
What others should know:I already mentioned my issues with mounting the scope. Just remember to make sure it sits flush with the scope rail. adjust the scope stops out if need be, then tighten them up once you get the mount on the rail and the scope wont budge.CommentsBy Thayne from USA on 2010-03-19 23:33:24 0 
After I wrote this review I ended up sending it back. I found severe rust under the muzzle break and one of the screws mounting the stock to the rifle was cross threaded. I also didnt like how barrel heavy it was. I got a Talon SS in place of it.
Things I liked:i like the fact that the barrel is heavier than gamo, that it has a wonderful finish, and that i has a neat profile. also the adjustable trigger was one of the major reasons why i went for an rws.By Selenes92fs from USA on 2008-12-23 22:53:24

Things I would have changed:have a raised cheekpiece, especially when the included scope rings is very high, or lower the scope rings. the plastic trigger feels funky, and i got a bad scope. where the reticle was damaged. also, this is for all spring guns: Start using real steel scope bases... there is a reason why see weaver and picatinny bases on things like .338 Lapua, and .50BMG. spring gun recoil vicious and needs a lot more than a puny roll pin to keep the scope from sliding. the scope stop pins are already looking like theyre about to shear off after a hundred shots.
What others should know:very accurate though it seems to need getting used to sandbags... probably because it is hold sensitive and i need to find the sweet spot. also beeman kodiak match pellets seems to work the best getting about 3/4 inch at 45 yards and i think it will get better with breaking in. once the scope base is toast, im thinking of getting it replaced with a picatinny base. using the leapers adapter seems that it will raise the scope too high even with low rings.

Things I would have changed:Scope mount, the recoil is to strong, it broke the 2 pins that alling it. Every 15 or 20 shots, scope get lose have to attach it again.
What others should know:Have to make gunsmitting adjusment ir order to keep scope from moving.
Things I liked:Very good quality and solidly built. Scope works very well for target shooting or hunting small things. Gun is very accurate and powerful and shoots dead-on once its sighted in.By nik356 from USA on 2008-05-13 15:43:35

Things I would have changed:The scope mount is very adjustable but seems to be a bit over-complex. It also has a problem with one of the screws coming loose after every 15 shots or so and has to be retightened. Hopefully the Leapers mount will change this. The synthetic stock it pretty nice but buyers should know that it is more of a hard plastic, not the rubbery type of stock Gamo has. Quite heavy.
What others should know:The only two real drawbacks to this gun are its weight (which is significantly more than a real rifle) and the mount. Besides that, it shoots extremely well - very accurate and very powerful. An awesome overall combo. Seems to shoot superdomes a bit better than others

Things I would have changed:The front fitting on the barrel is very heavy. It makes cocking easier but shooting from anything but bench-rested is awkward. I would re-design the barrel to be a consistent, thick diameter to more evenly distribute the weight.
