Things I liked:It has power, and a cocking aid,a little less metal than the Browning and RWS,but for the money"It is Less than half the price of the above,so for the power and low cost,I think for an entry level power and knock around plinker,it can't be beat
Things I would have changed:Any change to make it equal to higher cost guns would only negate thje value now available at this low cost
What others should know:Be a little gentler with this one than the higher end ones,it should last a long time

Things I liked:Price. Should have spent more!
Things I would have changed:sights and trigger. Sites are a joke, trigger pull is VERY heavy as a result accurate shooting is impossible
What others should know:This thing is cheaply made junk. Do yourself a favor and stay away from it. I can't believe Ruger licensed it. I did replace it with an air gun from Pyramyd.

Things I liked:Great power, good sights and good price.
      Things I would have changed:Nothing
What others should know:It's a little on the loud side for residential backyard target practice.

      Things I liked:Power, simplicity.
Things I would have changed:Screws on side and behind grip come loose easily, resulting in changing impact point. Difficult to keep sighted in and shooting to point of aim.
What others should know:Somewhat loud. If you lose the cocking assist handle, you're out of luck. Not terribly accurate.

Things I liked:consistent, sturdy, good power, easy to cock
Things I would have changed:fiber optic sights were off beyond range of adjustment. If I hadn't planned to scope I would have sent it back. trigger is terrible.
What others should know:potentially a terrific pistol. with minor improvements it would be worth twice the price. as it is, it's a toy.

Things I liked:Great feel. Good power. Comes with a good warranty
What others should know:The fiber optic rods for the sights get loose easy but not a difficult fix. This is common with most

Things I liked:Powerful for its size, somewhat compact to carry. It is a good addition to a collection. Very fun to shoot. Trigger is very decent once it has been shot a few hundred times and has smoothed out.
Things I would have changed:Arrived with right side of fiber optic sight broken, right out of the box. Very disappointed. Therefore I would recommend an optic of some sort, as the sights are very fragile. Barrel extension is required.
What others should know:I was looking for a portable airgun for backpacking and taking out small game and other rodents. This gun does very well at the task.

Things I liked:Good power at a great price (especially since I got mine as a closeout). Fiber optic sights work pretty well.
Things I would have changed:Barrel is ridiculously short for the overall design, need to eliminate the "cocking assist" extension and just make the barrel itself that length. Short barrel also gives a short sight radius. Fiber optic tubes could be a little thicker to make them gather light and stand out more clearly. Grips need to be a little slimmer -- I have big hands and usually find most grips to be a bit too small, these are just a bit too large to be comfortable even with large hands.
What others should know:Cocking effort is listed as "25 pounds" which may well be correct; as others have commented already this thing is tough to cock even with the "cocking assist"

Things I liked:cocking-assist handle PyramydAir's no hassle 30 day returns
Things I would have changed:The sight elevation adjustment
What others should know:Sights on the unit I received are so far off I have no idea where the round is going. Couldn't hit anywhere on the target out of the box. I gave up mounted a red dot finder and at least now I was hitting the target but I was all over the paper no tight groups. This may be in part to do with the heavy trigger causing me to pull the shots. Based on my brief experience I can't recommend the Ruger Mark 1. I requested an RMA and ordered a Hatsan Model 25 Supercharger air pistol from Pyramyaid.

Things I would have changed:Not to hot on the rear sight.Mine seems all the way to one side, could be the gun to.

Things I liked:Like any other spring-piston airgun, the more time spent with it, the better you'll shoot. There's quite a lot of plastic in the construction of this pistol, but it's in all the right places, and in no way detracts from its function, or accuracy, and, it's plenty accurate. If you plan to mount a scope, I'd suggest a 1-piece mount to avoid the optics sliding back on the rail. I own 3 other springer pistols, but simply for the enjoyment factor, I shoot the Ruger more than the others. You'll appreciate the cocking aid/extension it comes with, since, without it cocking could be difficult. Overall, it's a well designed piece of work and a joy to shoot.
What others should know:It is not pellet fussy

Things I liked:I like the look and feel of the gun. It feels "real" and it's a lot of fun to shoot! Mine is very accurate.
Things I would have changed:I'm happy with it the way it is. It does have some plastic, but on the other hand, it's not all that expensive. Any changes would probably make it pricier, and no one wants to pay more, right?
What others should know:It comes with a cocking aid. I used to take it on and off, and mutter over it being hard to put on and remove, but now I just leave it on. =) Out of the box, the sights were pretty askew, but that was easily fixed. Other than that... I saw a few reviews complaining about it being hard to cock, and I almost didn't buy it because of this. I don't have any problems cocking it, and I'm a girl. I'm 5'8", and I can imagine it being hard for people a lot smaller than I, but most people should be fine with it. Be smart; if you think cocking it is hard, put it over your thigh and gain some leverage. =)

Things I liked:Although there's an abundance of plastic on this pistol, it's well made and accurate. Like other springers, it takes some practice to shoot consistently accurate. As other's have stated, the trigger pull is hard, but with a little work on the trigger mechanism, it can be tuned to a much more acceptable pull. Overall it's a fine shooter with plenty of power.

Things I liked:There is a cocking aid with this pistol, I leave it on and get good shot groupings. It has a weaver scope rail built in and the rear fiber optic sight assembly can be easily removed. The trigger pull is somewhat adjustable.
Things I would have changed:The trigger pull is rough.

Things I liked:The style and size, the sound and recoil when it fires, the grips.
Things I would have changed:It has a very looong trigger, I adjusted it to the shortest trigger setting and it's still long.
What others should know:Out of the box it wasn't a great shooter, it took a while just to get used to firing it. After those test shots I started to adjust the sights because it was shooting 3 inches low. To make it hit lower, you must tighten the elevation screw and not realizing it I tighted the screw so much that it chew up some of the plastic threading and twisted out of place. After removing the rear sight I was able to re-insert the screw straight on the threads but it still shoots low. It's been 3 weeks (200-300 shots) and no improvement. I'm hoping the spring is just breaking in because I love shooting this gun. A few days ago the fiber optic line in the front sight fell off by itself, I haven't dropped the gun or banged it by accident on something. In conclusion, don't over tighten the elevation screw because it is all plastic. It takes a little longer to get used to but the satisfaction you feel when firing is better than most air pistols and plus, the cocking aid looks like a silencer that gives the gun a really cool look, you'll feel like a professional hitman with this beast!

Things I liked:It says ruger so it should have quality. It fires well and accurately.
Things I would have changed:There's not much to be done. It is a real bear to cock even with the cocking assist. It's also fairly heave kind of like a minaturized springer rifle with no butt stock and a really short barrel. This is pretty much the reason I don't use mine very much.
What others should know:You better have some strength to cock and fire this thing. It is powerful and that power makes it so a kid could never get it ready to fire. I'm 6' tall and 223 pounds in fairly good condition and I have to put some good effort into it.

Things I liked:The power this gun has surprised me! I honestly thought it would be fairly weak but the sound the pellets make as they hit the trap from 10-15 yards is just as loud as my Nitro Venom .22 from 25 yards! Accuracy is real good right out of the package, had to fine tune the fiber optics but was very pleased. One thing that surprised me but I thought was really cool, was the gun literally smokes the first 20 times you shoot it. I don't mean air...I mean smoke! First time I fired it my daughter and I laughed really hard due to smoke whisping out of of the barrel. I also really like the feel of the gun, it is very well balanced and the weight is nice. Great groupings at 10-15 yards.
Things I would have changed:I would change the design slightly so that the cocking handle is fixed and is a suppressor. This gun is not too loud, I shot it in town but have a double lot, and no one complained. It is however, much much louder than my Nitro Venom .22 cal. Can't really knock any stars off for that though, just wishful thinking.
What others should know:I bought this gun for my 8 year old daughter, big mistake due to the fact she can't cock it. As a dad I feel that independence is important so I wouldn't have purchased this if I knew she couldn't use it all on her own (while being supervised). To dads or moms out there I would recommend the Crosman 1322 or 1377 if purchasing for a child under 12, that way the child can still put 5 or 6 pumps into the 1322/77 and feel they are doing it "on their own".

Things I liked:Feels great in my hand, easy to sight, really fun to shoot, the price I thought was more then reasonable, I totally got my money's worth buying one
Things I would have changed:make the scope grooves longer and easier to mount pistol scope, the rear sight gets in the way. not a big deal
What others should know:worth every penny and then some

Things I liked:This thing is definitely a kids gun. Even with the cocking assist on the barrel I have a time of it and I'm by no means a wimp. Recoils harder than I expected hits much harder than I expected. Trigger feels good to me.
Things I would have changed:.I know it's made mostly of plastic to keep the cost down. I would like to see nice wood and better quality materials making this gun. I suppose I can't expect a factory to match my hand made beauties, but this is still a decent gun.
What others should know:Don't buy it for a kid. You need to be strong to cock and fire this brute. Great for adults.

Things I liked:All the advantages of a break-barrel pistol; Good power, no pumping, no CO2 needed, no scuba tanks. Great Accuracy, Great Price, Looks a lot cooler than the picture. It has a feel of a good tool, rather than a toy. It says Ruger on it.
Things I would have changed:I can't think of anything I'd change. This is great entry-level pistol for adults interested Air gun enthusiasm. I wish I would've gotten this gun before I got involved with CO2. I guess one thing I would change is the marketing. Let people know this the gun they want.
What others should know:Airgunners should know that I've only fired two other break-barrel pistols, so my authority is limited. But if there is a better entry-level break-barrel out there, I would like to know about it. Also, the info posted on Pyramyd Air lists this gun as not scopeable, but it does have a 11mm dovetail on the cylinder and I purchased, BKL 2-Pc 3/8" or 11mm Dovetail to Weaver Adapter, 1" Long, Matte Black, and UTG 30mm Red/Green Dot Sight w/Integral Picatinny Mounting Deck . I am enjoying the setup.
