Things I liked:

The cosmetics on this rifle is outstanding. The trigger is light and the recoil is much less than other springers out of the box. HC Hunter Carbine has an overall excellent shorter length.

Things I would have changed:

Under lever linkage rattles on the first easily seen connection joint. Right out of the box this is a shocking contrast to the cosmetics of the rifle. For a hunting, any extra and unnecessary noise should not be there. Its a rattler! For this price point, the tolerances on the cocking mechanisms should be tight and not make noise.

What others should know:

Very short cocking lever which is harder to swing down compared, for example: the TX200, HW97K, or Diana 34 break barrel. The TX200HC is loud. While a moderator / silencer can be affixed, that defeats the short length advantage. My HW97k ( just about 3 3/4 inch difference) has a quieter shoot and no rattles. In my humble opinion, there is better value for less money with many competitor options.

    Things I liked:

This TX200 HC .22 RH Walnut was a refurbished offer which added value for the money with the addition of some Bullseye Bucks from PA. The cosmetics on this rifle is outstanding. The trigger is light and the recoil is much less than other springers out of the box. HC Hunter Carbine has an overall excellent shorter length. The walnut stock is beautiful and each will be unique. The finish is second to none.

    Things I would have changed:

Under lever linkage rattles on the first easily seen connection joint. Right out of the box this is still a shocking contrast to the cosmetics of the rifle. For hunting, any extra and unnecessary noise should not be there. Its a rattler, but not as bad as others I have handled! For this price point, the tolerances on the cocking mechanisms should be tight and not make noise. Wish PA would offer pictures of their refurbished stock, not just a general catch all blanket policy.

    What others should know:

Very short cocking lever which is harder to swing down compared, for example: the TX200, HW97K, or Diana 34 break barrel. The TX200HC is loud. While a moderator / silencer can be affixed, that defeats the short length advantage the hunter carbine model has. The HW97K is a tad longer and definitely quieter. With refurbished it is a roll of the dice, so make sure to read over the PA refurbished policy. If interested in today's available springers, no doubt one of these TX200 or TX200HCs will end up in your growing collection. Be careful, air rifles are addictive. Shout out to PA for excellent customer service.

    Things I liked:

Lucked out on this & picked up this rifle as refurbished. Not a mark dent or scratch on it & it functions flawlessly. TBH I'd have no issue at all paying full price for this rifle. Of course I'd heard all the hype & seen a lot of stuff on YT about it. Trigger, accuracy, fit & finish all true. Having owned it for about a month now it way exceeds my expectations. As far as I'm concerned if you find a bad review of the TX200 HC it is from someone who has no clue about Springers or how to use one. Of course there is the eternal debate of TX200 vs. HW97 but some folks drive BMW's & some drive Jaguar too. Both will get you there in style. I can say this for sure, if you can appreciate & aford a top of the line springer you will never regret buying this one.

    Things I would have changed:

For the moment absolutely nothing. Sure some day I may get one of those fancy tune kits or other upgrades like an adjustable trigger blade or something, but there is nothing wrong just the way it is now at all.

    What others should know:

Yes you can get pcp accuracy out of this rifle, but only if you put in the work. Trust me if you miss a target within 50yds or less, its not the guns fault.

    Things I liked:

I ordered a TX200HC in walnut, 22 caliber. The airgun arrived in good condition, double boxed with plenty of padding between the boxes. Pyramyd Air does a good job of preparing a package to prevent damage during shipment. I am pleased with the stock wood as it has some nice figure and good grain flow through the wrist area of the stock. After mounting a UTG 4-16 scope I shot a hundred or so shots to break in the gun. The airgun as furnished for the USA market produced 18.39 ft lbs with the JSB Hades pellets. Accuracy is acceptable as furnished. I intend to try several different pellets to see if the airgun prefers something different. At this point with the TX200HC I am very pleased with the airgun and would recommend it for anybody looking for a well made and capable airgun.

    Things I would have changed:

Maybe a bit more effort put forth on the stocks finish. I added two coats of WATCO DANISH OIL which improved the surface finish.

    What others should know:

AIR ARMS makes a very nice spring airgun. I have no adverse issues with the manufacturer or the product.

    Things I liked:

Accurate! The stock is a nice looking piece of walnut, except...

    Things I would have changed:

The rifle arrived with a dent in the L side of the stock just in front of the trigger guard. Both boxes (AA factory and PA overpack) looked good so I don't think it happened in transit. I contacted PA and they were nice about it and offered to exchange it for another one but I elected to keep it. It's not going to be a bench only rifle so it will eventually gain character, but this was kind of a bummer since it is so expensive to begin with and I paid for the walnut upgrade. This is the only reason for the downgrade.

    What others should know:

I used BKL-263 rings to mount a Leupold VX-Freedom EFR Rifle Scope - 3x-9x-33mm w/ base screws torqued to ~35 inch lbs, ring caps to ~15. In >100 rounds there has been no movement. Coming from "real" guns I like to see the objective closer to the barrel but in this case that is a cosmetic preference, not functional. The comb is so high it works fine, and I could probably shoot well even with slightly higher rings though these look goofy enough.

    Things I would have changed:

Broken after 3 shots fired Great phone support / return for a replacement- has now been almost three weeks - still not replaced / really disappointing that the replacement is taking so long / the tech stated that there were 13 in stock upon my defective return / what can be done to get my replacement in a timely manner?

    What others should know:

Anxious to check accuracy - need a replacement rifle.

I heard so much good things about that rifle. Finally I get it in 22 and try. Gun heavy and well balanced. Very accurate. Difficult to cocking and knurling handle of lever very uncomfortable. Recoil is very strong for gun with 750 fps Decided go with HW-97K which like better

    Things I would have changed:

Heavy cocking, knurling handle irritates hands, heavy recoil

    Things I would have changed:

Gun was missing cocking handle circlip. Have ordered from Amazon and replaced with 3mm clips. Still waiting for OEM replacement from Pyramid.

    What others should know:

On par with HW97 in terms of accuracy.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing

    What others should know:

Cocking is a little tough but nothing a man can not handle. I have a little cocking device that makes cocking sooo much easier if you are shooting a lot of pellets. Just take about a foot or more of thin wall 1 inch PVC and put a block about 6 inches in it so when you slip it over the under lever you have lengthened the cocker about the same as the regular TX 200. By the way this cocking device also works on my ProSport. I usually shoot about 100 pellets and do not tire a bit.

    Things I liked:

What can you say, it's a TX200. It lives up to the hype. It shoots soooo smooth out of the box. The accuracy is great. Loaded with H&N hornets this thing becomes small game's worst nightmare. The carbine size is much nicer for woods walking as well. Compared to my HW97k's and my RWS 460, the TX200 HC's trigger is better and the gun is way more ergonomic of a fit. This gun is also way easier to disassemble than either. This is almost underlever perfection.

    Things I would have changed:

Air Arms please spend the 5 cents on two rubber washers to keep the cocking rod from rattling. For a "hunting carbine" and it's reputation this should not be an issue. I also wish the cocking lever had a retention device like some other underlevers. You have to basically pinch it, to release it from the ball detent.

    What others should know:

If you want an "elegant weapon for a much more civilized time", The TX200 HC is it. It is worth every penny. I've had the pleasure of shooting and or owning about every underlever imaginable, none of them shoot like the TX200 out of the box. It looks great as well.

    Things I liked:

Mine's a .22 lefty walnut HC. Excellent accuracy and not pellet picky. Lots of power. Nice oil finished wood. Lovely high polish deep blue. Mechanically smooth and solid. Great trigger, Mine has no twang. It's easy to work on. The compact length is shorter than most other full power springers. The built in silencer baffles help mute the bark, but it's still pretty loud due to the high power. The heavy weight and and thick stock style make for a good bench rifle.

    Things I would have changed:

I am not a fan of the noisey, cumbersome, anti-beartrap mechanism- A lower power option would be easier to cock, have a milder shot cycle and a quieter report.

    What others should know:

I installed an Air Rifle Headquarters "slightly softer" spring which eased the cocking effort and harshness without much power loss - dropped from 720 to 700 fps with H&N FTT. The oil finish was thin out of the box but I rubbed in a few more coats of BLO and it looks good. Despite the "Hunter Carbine" name, it is not my 1st choice for hunting as it's too heavy and too pretty for dragging through the brush. There are other springers that shoot as well as the TX, but what makes the TX so special is that it's just so darned beautiful!

    Things I liked:

.22 Cal. RH Beech. Where to start?!! Although the polished steel doesn't appear to be real bluing, it is absolutely stunning and beautiful, as is the fit, finish, laser cut art and smoothness of the stock. The ambidextriousness of the stock is extremely comfortable. The dovetails are indeed shallow, but sufficient for a very solid scope mount. I really like that the dovetails are cut all the way back off the receiver tube, allowing me to have comfortable eye-relief of the Hammers 3X9X32 AO scope, with the mount's stop pin engaged, and about 3/4" of the 4 screw mount hanging off the rear of the dovetails, acting as a pinch-clamp against the stop-pin. Accuracy is dime to sub-dime groups @ 38 yards if I do my part. My favorite pellet for most of my rifles, and ABSOLUTELY this one, is H&N Sport Baracuda Match 21.14g, 5.51", a bit heavy, BUT, sighted in @ 20 yrds, 2nd MIL DOT is dead on, blasting through 1/4" pine board. EVEN THE TRIGGER IS AMBI! VERY SOLIDLY BUILT. Recommend highly.

    Things I would have changed:

The cast trigger guard has machining on one side and slight pits from the casting process on the other. As with most everyone else, a safety that re-engages @ the switch. As AWESOME a choice of construction material that AA used throughout, a PLASTIC muzzle cap instead of at least aluminum!!??!!

    What others should know:

Keep and eye out for open-box/refurb deals. With only a few VERY slight metal and wood blemishes, VERY happy with the $90 discount. There is some slight buggering of the steel around the where the safety engages at the trigger block- safety still functions fine and the "buggering" isn't visible , but that's the only "refurb" sign I can see.

    Things I liked:

Prior to purchasing the TX200HC .22 I owned (still do) the full length TX200 MKIII in .177. I have enjoyed shooting this gun. Within the past year or so I have transitioned to shooting mostly in the off-hand mode and not from the bench. However, that can get tiring over time and after about 15 shots I wish both me and the gun were ambidextrous. I decided to look into the HC model as being more off-hand friendly. After much dithering I decided on the .22 version in Walnut right hand. I find the gun to be much better balanced for off-hand shooting. My version measures 38 inches long and weighs in at 8.4lbs without scope and mounts. This compact size and relative light weight is one of the guns greatest assets. To maintain the light weight I installed a Burris Timberline Scope (4.5-14x32). This scope has crystal clear glass, it is compact and light, springer rated and with a usable high magnification. It has one deficit - a longer than normal eye relief. The firing cycle is less stressed

    Things I would have changed:

The rattling cocking lever and gap between the stock and load port could be rectified.

    What others should know:

The firing cycle is less stressed than the .177 MkIII more of a thump with a gentler shove to the shoulder than the sharp snap’ I have been used to. The noise is not objectionable either – being a .22 it is subjectively quieter than the .177 HC. I use a BKL one piece drooper mount (260D). By the way this is one of the new Lothar Walther barrel guns with the blued gun barrel to prevent transportation corrosion. I have not done a thorough pellet test as yet. The gun likes the JSB 18.13 gr pellets and is ok with the Air Arms 16 grains. However, it does really well with the Predator lead free 11.75 grains. I have not tested the gun out to 50 yards. But at approx. 32 yards the predators are spectacular with minimal drop. The one drawback is the high cost of these pellets. No velocity results as I am sans chrony right now, but the Predators seem much faster than the lead options. All told this is a wonderful package light enough for my intended task of off-hand plinking.. I imagine this gun

    Things I would have changed:

The blueing lately on Air Arms TX200 is not what it used to be. I have had to return a few due to cloudy areas/spots. Quality control is lacking on the blueing line in the factory. Maybe they are trying to build too fast to keep up with demand. Their blueing was one of their claims to fame.

Fit and finish excellent. Awesome precision out to 45 - 50 yards. Stock is quite comfortable and nicely carved.

    Things I would have changed:

The breech for pellet insertion is tight and wears on my thumb. I have a Beeman pellet tool that I have to use with certain pellets.

    What others should know:

Cocking effort is stiff but manageable. Accuracy and consistent precision requires a decent scope and a good shooting rest.

    Things I liked:

Build quality, simplicity, stock, and performance are absolutely top notch! The trigger is very light with a crisp break one of the best I've felt. Robust feel & VERY accurate

    Things I would have changed:

An open sight model would be a nice option, and the ability to manually put the safety back on after taking it off. Otherwise nothing.

    What others should know:

Being new to hardcore airguns I cringed at the thought of paying this much for a pellet gun. I could have bought a very very nice rimfire for the same price or less. But I needed a good squirrel exterminator and couldn't use a firearm due to neighbors being close. I bought your typical $150 gamo from Big 5 and while it was o.k. I could never hit what I wanted consistently. So I convinced myself after much research to blow my budget and take a chance on the TX200. This thing restored my faith & made me look at air rifles in a whole new light. I can shoot anytime in my yard without posing a threat or concern to neighbors & consistently hit intended targets confidently out to 50 yards (maybe even a little further if I'm just target shooting & not worried about killing rodents). You truly do get what you pay for so I encourage anyone looking for a quality air gun to do your research, weigh what applications you want to use it for & where it will be used. Air Arms TX200 is phenomenal

'Been meaning to write in about this purchase for a while. 'Nothing but praise. 'Was zeroing the scope initially. 'Took my first shot. It was off naturally. 'Took my second (3 shot groups). It went through the same exact hole. The rifle is on the heavy side, to be sure. Shooting from a fixed position is obviously no problem. If you're out in the field, and want to shoot from standing, or even squatting, could be a factor. That said, I wouldn't change my purchase decision, nor anything about the rifle. Funny story... I brought it to a rifle range (my friends were shooting powder). I was just going to refine my scope sighting. The guys at the counter were just gushing over the workmanship. 'Fun stuff.

    Nothing.
