Things I liked:

I like the build quality of the gun, above all. Everything is done right. This is the kind of rifle you'll be proud to own for the rest of your life. It's the most accurate spring gun below $3,000. There are so many refinements in the trigger, the bedding, the barrel and breech, that I could write all day long about this rifle! In fact, you can read my TX200 article on this website.

Things I would have changed:

Nothing!

What others should know:

This is an underlever and therefore has limited access to the breech. People with very large hands may find it difficult to load until they develop a technique. The gun has 3 holes for a vertical scope stop pin, so buy scope mounts with a stop pin. Find the one best pellet, and use it exclusively. I've found both Beeman Kodiaks and 10.3-grain JSB Exacts to be equally accurate in my TX. I would scope this gun with a Bushnell 6-18x40 Trophy or a Leapers 3-12x44 AO SWAT Mini-Size scope.

Things I liked:

Solid built all metal gun with no plastic parts. Beautifully carved walnut

Things I would have changed:

Not being able to see the grain before it ships. Also my trigger guard is really badly done it looks like the cut the metal on the saw and painted over the saw marks. Also on the right side of the gun part of the grain looks like a crack on the stock or maybe they professionally repaired the crack. Hard to tell and I'm a wood worker.

What others should know:

When I text pyramid air a picture they didn't really seem to care. Which is a shame considering I heard nothing but great things about there customer service. I'm gonna see if the trigger guard Is supposed to be in this rough of shape and maybe talk to air arms about the possible crack repair. Or maybe it's the grain.

    Things I liked:

First of all this is a beautiful air rifle. I have shot it some and it has good accuracy, but i have bkl mounts on it and they will not lock down and stop sliding rearwards. These were recommended by Pyramyd and i mentioned that they didn't have a stop pin, but he said they would work and have not. Other than the mounts, this is a nice gun to add to your collection.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing besides my scope mounts.

    What others should know:

It's expensive, but you are getting a quality gun that will last for years.

    Things I liked:

Not a single cheap part from stock to barrel to cocking lever and ball stop. Extremely accurate and nice lght cocking force.

    Things I would have changed:

I would add sling attachments on left side and I include a right angle pellet seating tool. I made an STL file and 3d printed one so fingers never enter danger zone.

    What others should know:

    Order one im immediately

    Things I liked:

The trigger on the rifle was everything that I hoped it would be. Shot cycle smoothes out after a few hundred pellets. The fit and finish is second to none in the industry, and would compete with most in the firearms industry. During preliminary testing the rifle doesn't appear to be too picky about pellets.

    Things I would have changed:

The cocking rod bumper fell off after about 50 shots. Pyramyd sells a replacement, but why bother if it will continue to happen? Air Arms really needs to address that wart post haste. I did the usual thing, and put some O rings in the grooves on the end of the rod, and solved the issue.

    What others should know:

I was somewhat disappointed that Pyramyd would not provide photos of the rifle prior to shipment. I ordered a walnut stock, and felt that a $900 springer was worthy of approving the stock, they however did not. The one I received was average, not great. I was even more disappointed when Pyramyds' sister company offered the same rifle on sale two days after I ordered mine. The rifle requires premium mounts. I had an adjustable pair which did not work, so a fixed pair was used without issue. There is a fair amount of droop, so choose the optic wisely.

    Things I liked:

Nice rifle, fit , and finish is the best in the springer world. Trigger is nice

    Things I would have changed:

The stock is rather plain, Pyramyd was unwilling to shoot a photo prior to shipping, so you take your chances when you order. The gun has about 4.5 inches of barrel droop that I'll have to figure out how to compensate for.

    What others should know:

Adjustable mounts won't hold zero long enough to see what sort of accuracy you have.

This rifle is the KING of spring. You'll be excited opening it, thrilled firing it and proud to own it. I appreciate the accuracy, location and automatic nature of the safety, the look and feel. It's a rifle to admire and hopefully pass down due to its solid build.

    Things I would have changed:

I struggle to come up with a single thing.

    What others should know:

I compared this rifle to the HW98 and the TX200 stole the show.

    Nothing

    Things I liked:

Have had my TX200 MK 111 for three years now. Not one problem and around 6k shots. Impeccable rifle with no flaws I can find. Still shoots Daystate Sovereign Hunter (made by JSB) 10.33 grain at 810 fps just as it did when brand new. I've had roughly 50 springers over my lifetime and this one stands alone. If you are hesitant to buy believe me just don't hesitate any longer and buy the rifle.

    Things I would have changed:

    Not one thing

    What others should know:

Buy a REALY GOOD scope to bring out the guns accuracy potential. Mine is topped with a Sidewinder and this compliments the rifle nicely

    Things I liked:

The rifle looks and shoot great.

    Things I would have changed:

The rifle looked great when i got it, but after shooting it a few times I realized that I had not used the safety, and it was supposed to engage every time you cock the rifle. After adding more oil to the safety and letting it sit overnight it was still not working, Then after a few days of shooting I managed to get it to work maybe once or twice out of ten shots. But by then it was clear to me that it was never going to be dependable. Not without being serviced by a technician. Now I may have been able to take the stock off and messed around with it and got it to work, but for what Air Arms charges for that rifle, They can mess around with it and get it to work, Before they send it out to the customer.

    What others should know:

Hopefully Air Arms will fix this problem with the safety soon. Later I looked online for problems with the TX200 and the safety was the number one problem people were having. Pyramyd Air was very good about returning the rifle and gave me a full refund with no problems. At this time, I wish I could give the rifle five stars, it is such a nice rifle, but having a rifle with a safety that does not work Every time is a safety hazard, even if it is just a pellet gun, and I will not own it.

    Things I liked:

Beautiful walnut and top notch finish. Simply solid and not a loose rattle anywhere in the cocking arm linkage. Extremely easy to cock. This is everything you could want in a springer!

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing, there is a reason this has basically remained unchanged for ... well, a very long time.

    What others should know:

Refurbished is and was the biggest issue for this review. TX200 showed lots of use, blueing/blackening had scratches, rust found in the chamber, finish imperfections, and stock dings and dents. Problem is Damage, was it under the refurbished policy or shipping damage, maybe a little more than used? Well, PA gets final say and did not refund return shipping costs in this case. Its a roll of the dice with refurbished, just be aware of the PA policy. Subtract out the Damage, this would have scored better in value for the money. The TX200 is a top tier springer, maybe thee top!

    Things I liked:

The Air Arms TX 200 MK III is an absolutely beautiful airgun. I ordered mine in .177 caliber and with the walnut stock. I am shooting the JSB 10.34 Diabolo pellet. This is what I wanted to break the gun in with and the barrel. I shoot PCP's in Hunter Field Target at my club Fairfield Sportsman Association. I used Renaissance wax on the stock. It brings out the beauty of the stock and adds a layer of protection. It took around 350 shots for the TX 200 to break in and everything settle down. The FPS spread tightened up and so did the groups and the accuracy. I love shooting this airgun. It takes you back of why it all loved airgins. Slow things down and focus on each shot with your hold and follow through. If you do your part, this airgun will put the pellet where you are aiming. 25 Yards it stacks pellets. The recoil / spring vibration is mild, & is straight back. Absolutely Beautiful, Incredibly Accurate, Screams quality, Phenomenal Trigger, A joy to shoot. What more do you want?

    Things I would have changed:

I would put some kind of rubber pad at the end of the cocking lever. I know, you can do the O'Ring thing.

    What others should know:

Be patient with learning how to shoot a spring piston airgun if you don't already know. This airgun is extremely accurate, you just need to do your part. It is definitely worth saving up for. Get a good scope for it and a solid one-piece mount. It is a heavy airgun, but that is to be expected.

    Things I liked:

This rifle is a work of art. The walnut stock has an oil finish and is just beautiful. The barrel and cocking lever have a perfect blued finish on them.

    Things I would have changed:

I am not able to think of anything that would improve this rifle. It has a very impressive history with many many owners.

    What others should know:

This rifle is amazingly accurate. So far I have only fired it in the basement at twenty five feet and once sighted in I was shooting one hole groups. If you are looking for a top rated spring air rifle, this is it.

Just purchased a tx200 mklll, what a beautiful gun, everything about it is pristine. Put a scope on and at 20yds it stacks pellets. I was always a Weihrauch guy in fact I have 3 HW77Ks 2 old school with 25mm tube all great shooting rifles. That being said this tx200 seems to be a little better. I give it 5 stars.

    Things I would have changed:

Little rubber stop on the cocking arm

    What others should know:

My break in period was less than 500 shots. Initially my ES over 10 shots was 13fps, it shrunk to 6fps after around 300 shots and cocking became noticeably easier. An absolute laser honestly you cant miss. Totally worth it (mine was 830$)

    Things I liked:

Very nice looking Walnut stock version and solid air rifle. Weight 10.5 lbs with MTC Mamba Lite 4-16x scope. With JSB 10.34, she averages 800fps and less than .25 inch group at 25 yrds. You need to let this springer do its recoil thing. I plan to set it for < 12ft/lbs.

    Things I would have changed:

The little rubber bumper under barrel to cushion cocking lever lasted about 5 shots, came off and unable to re- mount it. Poor design Air Arms. I replaced with rubber O rings in the grooves provided at end of cocking lever.

    What others should know:

As advertised it takes about 30 lbs of cocking force. I intend to use this air rifle for Field Target and will convert it to less then 12ft/lbs but for general hunting or plinking its fine. Glad I made the purchase.

    Things I liked:

INSANELY well built and EXTREMELY accurate. Paired with the standard Hawke scope that came with the package, I can dial in dime size groups at 35 yards. I also found that the Air Arms Field 8.4gr pellets are the BEST match for my gun. I can literally use the StrelokPro App on my iphone and calculate dead on shot placement at any distance. Its absolutely a dream to shoot!

    Things I would have changed:

I would change the safety on the gun as I dont care for the placement and operation of it.

    What others should know:

If I were to do it again, I would buy a REALLY REALLY good scope. The Hawke that comes with the combo and s very good, but a really good scope with active turrets, side parallax adjustment, and an illuminated reticle would be EPIC.

    Things I liked:

Beautiful rifle, very easy to fully disassemble and work on or upgrade parts. Trigger is about as good as it gets. Very quiet and when paired with the right pellet the accuracy is great. Gun is heavy which helps with accuracy on this springer.

    Things I would have changed:

The cocking lever was a bit wobbly, easily fixed with a small thin washer. I went with the walnut stock which had some sort of dark spots all over it, I think it may have been some sort of oil that was mistakenly dripped or splashed on it. After some work I pulled the spots out, gave it a light sanding and a fresh coat of quality oil and all is well now, now that said it was a bit disappointing to see that obvious of a defect on a gun of this quality and high price, and had I not already had experience refinishing stocks I would have sent it back for a replacement. I ordered the combo kit with the Hawke scope, the Hawke lasted maybe 200 shots before the adjustable objective lens was broken and couldn't hold focus between shots. I replaced it with a Vortex that has had zero issues so far with 2000+ shots. The stock spring does have a but of a twang upon firing, and hard forward recoil with stock spring/ steel tophat. Tune kit is recommended if this is a problem for you.

    What others should know:

Springers are challenging to shoot accurately with consistency, they are so very hold sensitive and this rifle is VERY hold sensitive. Once you develop some muscle memory with a consistent hold pattern the results will show. I shoot this rifle from 15-30 yards and have satisfying results 90% of the time. My. 22 copy shoots the Crossman Premier pellets very well out to 30 yards. Dime size groups at 20-25 yards are easily accomplished and as you get comfortable shooting this rifle you might find yourself bored at closer ranges, moving your targets out farther and farther. Personally I would recommend skipping the Hawke scopes as I have had bad luck with them on springers, but that's up to you. Vortex has not let me down yet on ANY airgun of firearm that I place one on but I know everyone has their own preferences and experiences, I'm just sharing mine.

This air rifle seems to be everything good that most have claimed it to be.

    What others should know:

One thing that is NOT claimed, is that it has a highly finished stock. The walnut stock seems well made of fairly nice wood for the price, and the fish scale *checkering* is nicely done. However, while Air Arms may or may not have use some sort of protective substance on the wood, it appears unfinished. After two coats of TruOil followed by steel wool, and then two more top coats, the stock looks like what I consider finished wood stock.

    Things I liked:

    Excellent fit and finish.

    Things I would have changed:

The finish on the mating faces of the trigger sears and compression tube are terrible. Air Arms should go back to their original machining practices and rectify the current shotty work.

    What others should know:

Air Arms quality regarding the TX200 is not what it used to be.
