Things I liked:

Dual tank, slightly less fps than single tank but does 4-5 closely spaced fps shots without resorting to using mil-dots to compensate for droop. First 5 shots use about 250 psi each and my POI seems to remain the same. I use a hand pump which is good for occasional shooting but I was wishing I had a scuba tank while sighting in the rifle! Finish of gun is good, bluing and stock are very nice. Gun is well balanced, lightweight, and is easy to hold and aim. It’s loud but not excessively loud, a cross between a black powder rifle and a .410 shotgun. I found the recoil to be light. Cocking effort was high initially but rapidly fell off. I lubed it with light oil and now it’s very smooth. Accuracy is good and improving. When I first got the gun, at 50 yards I was holding 4” center-to-center groupings. After working on the trigger, I’m down below 2.5” and can get shots within ¾” of my POI. All of my shots have been standing while using a tree to steady the rifle and I seat the bullets before firing each time. At 50 yards, 200 grain round nose bullets go 1 ½” into loosely held phone books, but the damage extends another ½” beyond and the channel is over 2” across (this is supposed to simulate shooting into bone). I’ve not shot many 225 grain HPs but they seem to have similar groupings as the 200s. I used a 3-9x32 Bug Buster and UTG mount from my RWS 34 and reversed the rail to give about ½” more eye relief. The UTG mount should let me use a 4-16x40 Leapers scope and clear the rear sight.

Things I would have changed:

Polish and lube the trigger and sear at the factory. Lighter bullets to use against smaller animals.

What others should know:

I hated the trigger when I first got the gun, it had high resistance, effort was high, and the travel was excessively long, you just pulled forever before it would fire. It took about fifteen minutes of polishing the trigger and sear, and lubing everything to get rid of this. It will never be a match trigger but now it’s smooth, I know when it will fire every time, and I keep the gun on target as I pull on the trigger. Use emery cloth and DO NOT alter your sear or trigger or you gun could become unsafe!

    Things I liked:

.50 caliber, it looks like an over/under duck gun. It can also shoot arrows. I like the open sights.

    Things I would have changed:

This gun could really use a regulator. It could also use sling mounts.

    What others should know:

It needs to be sighted in at around 20 yards and a only use the first 4 shots. This gun drops off significantly after the fifth shot, but only slightly on the fifth. The best ammo for this gun is from Nielsen Specifically Ammo, .4985 caliber, 245 g comical slugs. This gun will shoot through concrete blocks at 20 yards. It's easily the loudest air rifle and I've ever shot out of hundreds.

I purchased my Dragon Claw refurbished and so glad I did. It is in perfect condition. So new the cocking lever needed a few shots to start to break in. PyramydAir sends there stuff extremely fast. Thank you. Ammo sends WAY faster then Amazon and equal or cheeper too. Sean

First PCP I have bought. A true powerhouse! Holds 12’’ patterns at 30 yards with #6 shot shells. Can’t wait to shoot slugs through it. I tip my hat to Pyramid Air for their excellent service!

    Things I liked:

It is not as heavy as it looks imo and is reasonably accurate at 50 yards with NSA 235gr .498 . It is a good looking gun.

    Things I would have changed:

Trigger pull should be rated in tons. Trigger creep should be rated in feet. The elevation and windage adjustments of the rear sight had to be adjusted to extremes from center of barrel to sight in at 25 yards. Rediculous... Had to use a droop compensating mount to zero the rifle scope at 50 yards. For a rifle that looks so nice in person you really have to look close to see the crappy prep work on the tubes before the blueing was done. There should be no scratches or brush markings!

    What others should know:

Overall, I am happy with the gun although I have righteous complaints. Trigger needs serious attention if you plan on squeezing off good accurate shots. It's easier on you to shotgun jerk the dang thing than try to squeeze off shots. The rifle is accurate once you find the right ammo. I could not get .495 round balls or NSA 235gr .495 pellets to group less than 4 inches at 50 yards but NSA 235gr .498 group at 1.25 inches. The cocking handle has to be attached to the gun before you use it. Use blue loctite on the screw or it will loosen as you use the rifle. A loose screw can break off! The gun's recoil will give you fits to adjust to for accuracy. It isn't a violent hit at all like a high powered firearm, but a big slow push instead.

    Things I liked:

I already own a Recluse .357, it was tuned by Will Piatt. It'a a powerhouse rifle. But I read Pyramyd offered in-house tuning for the Dragon Claw. They claimed the Claw can deliver up to 300 foot pounds energy. Those of you who don't know, that's a lot! I tested mine when I got it, I uesd a 336 grain bullet and it did get 316 FPE, using a LBS 81 grain it got 282 FPE. I really like these rifles. They're made in Korea and are a retro rifle. They look like they were made in the 40's. So many rifles today are made of plastic or look like they come from some sci-fi movie. Seneca makes a very good looking rifle. They're heavy and very loud. They're deeply blued barrel and air tank. Real wood. Very well made. I own three of these Seneca rifles, a single tank Recluse, a dual tank Recluse and now my Dragon Claw. Very happy with all three. Only problem, which one to shoot? The Recluse will take care of groundhogs while the Claw will take deer and hogs.

    Things I would have changed:

Make it a sidelever. It's a chore to cock. I know it's all steel and real wood but it's quite heavy, especially with a scope and suppressor. My Dragon Claw weighs 10.4 pounds, my Recluse weighs 11.1. Give it sling mounts.

    What others should know:

Get an air compressor. So many are now made, some are junk, I know, I bought three, they lasted about 6 weeks each now sit out back. Spend around $500 for one, or get a Chinese one that used water to cool and oil. They work well and last a long time, and are really cheap, around $250. But now very convenient. many good ones can be used in the field, they run off your car's battery.

    Things I liked:

I am a plinker and this air gun is very powerful. Fun to shoot. I usually shoot my 30 cal Hatsan blitz. If the targets too thick. The dragon claw will destroy it.

    Things I would have changed:

A little hard to pull back the cocking lever.

    What others should know:

Very loud. Not really backyard friendly.

Pyramyd Air Customer Service! Powerful, easy to shoulder, Accurate. Its just a beautiful piece of work.

    Things I would have changed:

Definitely the trigger. I own three of these; The Recluse. the 909 Light Hunter, and now the Dragon Claw.. Every one needs quite a bit of trigger work. 7 to 8 lbs out of the box. the weight of pull is not that objectionable, but the creep is. At a minimum the contacts points need to be smoothed and polished. I haven't done the dragon claw yet but the Recluse and 909 have trigger pulls of 3lbs 90z and 4 lbs respectively after smoothing and polishing the casting marks out and the pull is now smooth as silk with a crisp, clean release.

    What others should know:

Pyramyd's customer service is terrific! The Dragon Claw I just purchased was refurbished. It arrived with a crack in the buttstock. I called Pyramyd Air and spoke with Adam. A new stock was on its way to me the same day. Their only request was that I send them back the busted one at their expense and they provided the shipping label. I have no problem with this at all. Thank You Pryramyd Air for your excellent customer care!

It's well made and powerful gun. The craftsmanship is sweet. Something you might wanna display on your wall. At 40 yards, it'll go 1/2 way through a washing machine. Found the slug inside the tub. WOW...

    Things I would have changed:

It'd be nice to have all the shots, from full to empty, shooting the same pressure. But heck, the first 6 shots will kill most game anyway. I'm just saying, repeated velocity would be awesome....

    What others should know:

It's a bit heavy but still fun as heck..Manageable...

    Things I liked:

I bought the package deal. Very happy overall. It's a beautiful rifle, seems well built. It sure is fun watching those large pellets slam into your target. Can't wait to hunt pigs with it. I haven't tried the air bolts yet. It's easy to use, very powerful but it is loud....about like a 22 rifle. It's very easy to load pellets. It's an expensive gun bit I don't regret buying it.

    Things I would have changed:

The bolt action is very stiff and so is the trigger. I have a hard time getting into low power because I have to pull so hard that it just goes straight back to high power. I'm not too pleased with the scope that came with the package, it's been hard to keep on zero. I zero in at 20 yards but it seems to shift a little. I've only put about 125 rounds through this, so still have some playing to do. I will probably send it to saddle mountain for super tune for a little more power to reach out to 75 yards.

    What others should know:

I bought the suppressor from Donny Fl. It still has some good sound to it but I can now shoot it in my back yard in a regular neighborhood. I built a backstop with composite Decking boards, three boards thick. That's some very solid and dense material. The pellets go clean through the first board and bury into the second one. You can put your pinky in the hold it leaves. In contract my Benjamin Marauder just barely buries a pellet in this material, but I love that gun too. I'm having decent accuracy out to 50 yards. Beyond that it's gets a little sporadic. I like the 215 grain pellets best. I'm surprised how well the round balls shoot. Had to go with 3 stars on accuracy.

    What others should know:

this thing definitely has the hitting power.
