I am using these as a scope base for a valmet 412S over under rifle. Very satisfied so far has stood up to the recoil of a 9.3x74R rifle.

Would like a version in steel.

Much less expensive than custom mounts if you’re lucky enough to find them.

I have lots of Weaver type rings, and these adapters allow me to use those rings on my Dovetail airgun rails. What can I say, they are convenient and solve a practical problem.

Offset stop pin allows some fore-back positioning of mounts by flipping adapter around. Otherwise see additional comments.

Tighter tolerance fit of alignment pins. Larger diameter and longer stop pin.

Do not work well for me with dovetails cut into round top receiver. Alignment pins are a loose/sloppy fit in adapter halves. On round top receiver narrow half lacks support below and rotates inward when tightened reducing engagement with dovetail groove. As result when tightened to spec or subsequently even tighter scope and mount in either case will pop off rifle from springer recoil or if bumped. With support from below on flat topped dovetail receiver the adapters probably would be fine. Also note stop pin is very small diameter and short. Pin adjusts to either minimally engage with receiver or minimally thread into adapter, not long enough to engage both well.

Probably the best invention of the 21st Century for active gunners! Having a few older dovetail pieces and with that attachment choice almost obsolete in these tactical times, this transition piece gives more flexibility for various newer pieces to be attached. The price point is just right to have extra in the gun box for spares.

Sometimes these adapters are a little stiff out of the blister card so a few squeezes (or an extra small drop of oil to the springs) to limber them up will help when inserting in the piece to attach on the dovetail.

These adapters were exactly what I needed. I have many pairs of Weaver rings that are no longer useless. I may have to buy more air rifles to use them up.

I have lots of air rifles, all with dovetail scope basis. I've also accumulated lots of Weaver scope rings for my firearms over the years that were otherwise collecting dust. The many dovetail rings that come with my air rifles are all too high for my preference - I prefer to get my scopes as close as possible to the barrel, and will remove the iron sights, if necessary. This dovetail to Weaver adapter is a perfect solution! I'm finally able to use my Weaver scope rings and mount my scope closer to the barrel. LOVE IT!

These adapters are a good way to put a optic on your device when it comes with the 3/8 dovetail mount. They are very user friendly and easy to install. Might have to gets some more.

If you have bought the new Crosman 2240xl it gives you the option of using different applications on your steel breach gun.

These saved the day on my Crosman 2289 steel breech air gun! It takes a little bit of patience to get them set in the scope rings and then tightened down on the base securely, but once you do, they are very solid and don't move at all. Cheaper than buying a new set of rings and worked great on my budget build. And just in case you think these are only for a little red dot Scopes, I have a full size 30 mm tube UTG 4-16x44mm illuminated reticle scope on my little Crosman. That big boy is solid as a rock!

Next time I'd buy two sets to have a spare on the Shelf. Very handy for these little 11 mm and 3/8 air gun rails.

If your rifle base is so equipped, these do have an adjustable verticle pin you can set in a stop hole. I had to remove the set screws from these pins so it would fit on my flat top rifle.

Great inexpensive adapters. I've purchased at least five pairs of them.

They work just fine on air guns. I have no complaints.

Buy extra's, you will likely buy another air gun and need more.

This adapter works perfectly. I have used this item on three rifle and excently secures the scope rings.

They worked great in allowing me to put a cheap red dot sight on a Diana Chaser pistol (see picture above).

In my ignorance, I assumed these connected to the dovetrail rail. I had thrown away the packaging they came with (perhaps, they had instructions?). I was tearing through my toolboox looking for my micro hex keys (0.7mm, 0.9mm, 1.27mm, etc) to loosen the grub screws on the side, thinking you tighten down the springs with these, once in place on the dovetail rail. NOPE. As clearly shown in the photos on Pyramyd's website, they "snap" in place inside the Weaver mount of whatever you are installing.

Cheap and they work.

I wouldn't count on these for guns with much recoil. Maybe OK. I haven't actually used these on a harder recoiling gun, so I haven't had a failure.

Got these bad boys holding my ATN X Sight just right. Leapers makes great products.

They are a little tricky to get off

they come with a set screw to lock it, but there is no way once it is in place. If anyone can figure it out please let me know.

I had a little problem at first because of the red dot I was tiring to install. The base was cheap and it did not let me set in the adapter. changed to a different base and it was easy.

I had a red dot with a weaver base that I wasn't using and this adapter was perfect for attaching the it to the Beeman P17's dovetail rail.

Very reasonably priced adapter with a low profile. This was very easy to use and saves weight for any dovetail to weaver applications as you can space the 2 pieces far apart without having weight in between them as you would with a whole rail adapter. It will also allow you to lower the profile of whatever you're mounting as most adapters have extra material between the dovetail and the weaver parts. I used it to mount a red dot sight to my Beeman P17, which needed a somewhat low mount for best accuracy.

Nothing, craftmanship and materials are perfect for this application

If I hadn't broken off the front sight of the P17, this and the red dot sight wouldn't have been necessary. The front sight of the P17 is molded onto the gun body and is only fixable by replacing the gun body which is somehow more expensive as a part than the whole gun. However, this adapter enabled me to revive an otherwise impractical to repair and otherwise working gun for less than buying a new gun.

Thought I could get away with using only 1 because my sight was small but you need to use them both to keep it aligned
