Things I liked:

Very accurate (I use open sights only, no scope). Easy pumping. Quiet. Trigger pull is excellent. Bolt is easy to cycle. Quality item.

Things I would have changed:

Nothing!

What others should know:

I purchased a Crosman Legacy 1000 this spring and have enjoyed shooting it so far, but this 880 is superior in many ways: 1) My 880 is more accurate than my Legacy 1000 with open sights (I shoot lead pellets only). 2) Trigger pull on the 880 is vastly superior - not long and creepy at all. 3) Front sights are fiber optic on both rifles, but the Daisy's are smaller, which allows for more precision. 4) The bolt on the 880 is MUCH easier to cycle. 5) Pumping the 880 requires much less effort. 6) Pumping the 880 is a quiet process, whereas the Legacy 1000 creates a loud slapping sound with every pump. 7) The 880 is more quiet when it fires. I bet the neighbors don't know I'm outside shooting at all - except for the "ping" of the steel silhouettes! The Legacy 1000 is indeed more powerful, but in my case that is not a real advantage since I use my rifles for target shooting/plinking only. Each rifle only needs 3 pumps max to accurately knock down steel silhouettes at 10 meters

Things I liked:

Light, cheap. easy to pump, plenty powerful.

Things I would have changed:

Accuracy is bad. The rear sight has to be adjusted all the way to one side to be sighted in. A little adjustment is ok but this is excessive.

    Things I liked:

In my opinion this Daisy Air Rifle offers a lot bang for your buck! Im Impressed with the velocity & accuracy at a very reasonable price! I took a couple of big rats out with two perfectly placed head shots and they both dropped dead In their tracks.

    Things I would have changed:

Really nothing but I wish Daisy would consider making an up graded limited edition of the 880 just like Crosman did with the Crosman 362. if Daisy did I would definitely buy one In a heartbeat!

    What others should know:

If your looking for a .177 cal pellet rifle that offers a lot of performance for not a lot of money I would advise you to take a look at the Daisy 880 Powerline, heck I might just buy another one because I really like the first one I bought!

    Things I liked:

Good entry level rifle. Inexpensive, accurate enough for plinking, powerful enough for rodents.

    Things I would have changed:

Not sure if my sights are just defective, but the gun shoots low. Like, really really low. I’ve got the sights set at the highest elevation, and I still have to aim above my target at 10 yards. My Red Ryder that shoots at half the velocity doesn’t even have this issue. It seems crazy to me that a 700 fps pellet rifle would have sights that max out at 5 yards. Again, maybe mine is defective, idk.

    What others should know:

The stock is hollow and cheap feeling, but given the price it’s not a huge deal.

    Things I liked:

Amazingly accurate for such a cheap airgun. Easy to handle, fairly lightweight.

    Things I would have changed:

Real wood would be nicer than plastic, but then it would probably cost more and be heavier, so maybe best the way it is.

    What others should know:

A fun lightweight cheap air rifle to plink with, can use either pellets for better accuracy, or plain bbs for really cheap shooting fun.

    Things I liked:

Everything. Weight, accuracy, easy to pump, power, not pellet picky, legacy, amazing price. I've got some nice airguns, and this one is just so fun and simple to shoot free hand, in the woods, with kids, etc. Great 5-30 yards.

    Things I would have changed:

Easier pellet loading (especially if scoped).

    What others should know:

It shoots 10 grain pellets well. Don't under estimate this gun.

Accuracy is very good at 20 yards. Trigger pull is crisp.

    Things I would have changed:

The plastic stock feels cheap. The scope is garbage. Sell the rifle a little cheaper with no scope.

    What others should know:

This gun feels cheap but is fun to shoot. It is very accurate with fixed sights. I'm sure that it is powerful enough to kill rats. Good way to have fun shooting without paying expensive ammo prices.

    Things I liked:

Only had this gun a couple weeks and less than 200 shots through it, but so far zero complaints. For 55$, it does everything I would expect and does it well. I can consistently hit the cap of a milk jug at 17yds. I had to try a couple different types of pellets to get it to shoot tighter groups. But the first pellets were very cheap and still shot well enough. Trigger is good, much better than my sons crosman 760. It is plastic and light, but it seems more sturdy than other pellet guns in the same price range. The pumping lever is great. The extra throw length makes it very easy to pump. The sights are good, the fiber optic front is super bright.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing.

    Things I liked:

The price is great for what you're getting. You can modify the bejesus out of this and not be out much if you mess it up bad. I see lots of people with YouTube videos making "survival" guns with this rifle. I shoot cans. Lots of cans, targets, and the little yellow steel animal targets with mine, no mods and it works just fine. Tried a scope on it once, didn't like it, have no trouble with the open sights.

    Things I would have changed:

Maybe a little heftier plastic would be cool, but for the price, I don't expect to be able to club a bear with it .

    What others should know:

I have never put a bb through mine. No mods, never more than ten pumps, and it is a fun fun to shoot. All kinds of pellets, from the cheapest daisy's to h&n, this puts them all on targets. Mine seems to like crosman domed pellets pretty well

    Things I would have changed:

For the price you can't complain about everything being plastic. But loading pellets is a serious pain!

    What others should know:

Don't throw your money away with crosman! Yes they are better built but that's where the honeymoon ends! Daisy will out perform crosman any day!

    Things I liked:

I was fooled when I took it out of the box. It felt flimsy. All plastic. I thought, "You get what you pay for", and started to write this off as a bad buy. Then I took it outside an put a few pellets downrange.I loaded in a heavier pellet (16.1gr) and pumped it 15 times. I know, I know..."manual says no more than 10 pumps". I can afford another one if I blow the seals. Anyway, at 25 yards, this rifle is a squirrel's nightmare. Deadly accurate, with enough knockdown power to get the job done humanely.

    Things I would have changed:

A more sturdy pump arm. It feels as though the thing is going to break at any moment. Especially on the 15th pump (wink). The bolt handle is just as flimsy feeling. The trigger, while not horrible, acts more like a two-stage. There is is a mushy first part, then a SNAP. I liken it to the feeling of setting a mouse trap. That dangerous moment where you have it set and are attempting to place it without it snapping too soon.

    What others should know:

This is an absolute "must buy"!!! No joke. It is amazingly accurate, and powerful. Those two qualities are the reasons why you buy a rifle, especially if using for small game or rodent control. The combination of the heavier pellet and this power plant is the key.

I liked the power of it. I was able to put a hollowpoint pellet through a fence board at about 10 feet using it.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing.

    What others should know:

My father owned one of these and was able to kill an opossum using it. Mine took about 10 years to break and we didn't clean it once. It recently broke and I cut the stock and half of the barrel off and now it works fine.

    Things I would have changed:

Everything but the powerplant. I real barrel would be nice!

    What others should know:

This is a scary-powerful plastic kids air rifle. It's not accurate. It shoots BBs and pellets much harder than an old 760 Pumpmaster but is a toy by comparison. A very very powerful toy! If it shot straight, I'd love it! (despite the cheap BB gun barrel wrapped in black painted "tin" and the toy-gun plastic stock and forearm.) I've tried 4 or 5 different pellets and they all fly anywhere but where you point them. I can mostly hit a spray paint can at 50 feet but trying to punch paper is frustrating! I would have liked to use it for some barn swallows. It's got the power, but it's just not accurate enough.

    Things I would have changed:

I finally wore it out. Still shoots, but the BB door won't stay shut, pump lever wont stay latched and the loading lever broke off. Time for a new one I guess!

    What others should know:

Put an AO scope on it to get its full potential. Yes you will spend more for the scope then the gun and you will have a gun that shoots like a $150 rig. But you spent less than $100. Your friends will laugh until you shoot equal to their $300 setup

Very quiet and easy to pump. For plinking purposes three pumps is more than enough.

    Things I would have changed:

Larger BB hopper. Not as accurate as I had hoped with BBs. Just slightly less accurate than my daughters Red Ryder. Still can hit a quarter most of the time at 35' though.

    What others should know:

Safety can not be engaged until it is pumped and loaded with a projectile. I would think being able to engage the safety prior to the gun being ready to fire would be mandatory.

    Things I liked:

I really prefer a light rifle and this one is definitely light. This does NOT get harder to pump with each successive pump. Excellent for long, leisurely plinking sessions. I gave this 5 stars across the board because what you are getting for the price gives little room for complaint.

    Things I would have changed:

If I could ask for more, it would be nice to have more power and a better trigger and maybe an option of a lothar walther barrel like the Avanti. Maybe make it a multi-shot with a 10 round magazine, because loading a pellet is a little tedious. I would pay more for 11-12 ft lbs and a 2 pound trigger, but for this price I'm totally happy. If we did all that, it wouldn't be an 880 would it?

    What others should know:

I have a Leapers 3-9X32AO on mine and shoot RWS super-domes and I am shooting 12 oz plastic bottles at 50 yards with 8 pumps. It will hit the bottle every time. I like shooting plastic bottles because they make more noise when hit than cans do. You can do squirrels at 20 yards with it if you are up to it. If you get used to the trigger, this is a surprisingly good shooter.

Smooth and almost effortless pumping from one pump up to ten pumps...very impressed! Solid feel and like the overall length as it works for me as an adult. Powerful!!

    Things I would have changed:

Not a huge deal, but would like a metal pump lever, which after contacting Daisy, found that there isn't one currently. I changed out the resin cocking lever for a metal one on my newer model Red Rider and like the feel much better.

    What others should know:

Fun to shoot and easy enough to pump that a young adult can handle...just make sure that all safety precautions are followed, as this is a powerful air rifle....and have fun!!

Unbelievably accurate, very easy to shoot, isn't that pellet fussy! I've had this gun for about a year know and have at least shot 5000 rounds and the gun is still working just fine. have taken many squirrels with gun and pellet placement is key! I have a mantis 3-9-40 ao and it goes great with this rifle!

    Things I would have changed:

    absolutely nothing!

    What others should know:

LOVES RWS WAD CUTTERS! and predator polymags! can shoot a dime every single time and 20 yards with both! but every gun likes different ammo so find what's best for your exact rifle!

    Things I liked:

I bought this a few years back, and it is a great deal for under $50. Yes, it does have a synthetic stock, but its easy to pump up, and you do not have to worry about a bad spring in the winter. 750 fps, is a very powerful rifle in this price range.

    Things I would have changed:

Its a daisy, and the quality is great for the price. If you want a wood stock, you will have to kick it up about $40.00

    What others should know:

This is what backyard plinking is all about. Set up some pop cans, and blast away and have a contest with your friends. Again, the price is great, and I would recommend this as a Christmas present. Ammo is also cheap in this caliber.
