5 of 5 Crosman Shooting & Hiking Reviews
It is a good stick for shooting, however a little week and quality isn't that great (at least on the one I got). If I would of paid $35 for this I would of been a little upset cause mine came in with the round ball attachment cross threaded on the sticks screw. So in short any attachment I try to put on the top is a very caution task cause the threads are already stripped and damaged. I put the V attachment on and left it that way. Everything else on the stick works. I like the spring idea to absorb some shock. I feel it would be better if made more durable instead of thin aluminum. But in the end it does what it is suppose to do, hold my gun on it so I can shoot, allows me to get those long shots easier. The compass on the stick strap doesn't work smoothly, you have to constantly tap it so it will turn to north. The temp gauge works fine, close enough to the real temp.
Things I Would Have ChangedQuality, more durable, better made, better quality control.
What Others Should KnowGood stick, and I would recommend it, although I feel is a little over priced for what it is, and the quality of the stick I have was not on par. I only needed a stick to help hold my gun more sturdy when in the woods during hunting, and this stick does just that.
Adjustment of the pole was easy and the length markings made readjusting the pole a snap. The spring in the bottom piece absorbs the shock of the pole while walking. The V for the top makes a great shooting monopod and you can also mount a camera to the same screw.
Things I Would Have ChangedMaybe a bit thicker material for the pole.
What Others Should KnowI prefer to walk with this stick instead of my cane because I do not have to bend my back with the monopod.
The versatility can be used for more than one function
Things I Would Have ChangedBetter instuctions on how to use the telescopic aspect of it. I was trying to turn the plastic rather than the pole itself.
What Others Should KnowIt takes a little practice to use as a monopod but with a little practice it works fine.
Just about everything - very easy to use , very light. It's a better walking stick than a monopod imo though. I would certainly buy it again if I lost this one lol.
Things I Would Have ChangedMake it a little more 'weightier' -- it sometimes feels TOO light if you can believe it.
What Others Should KnowIt comes with a ball as well as a "V" shape attachment (for shooting of course) I found the ball attachment is not very secure. When I unscrewed it I found a disc inside and removed it , You do NOT need the disc imo - the ball is now very secure.

The concept is a good one, albeit poorly executed.
Things I Would Have ChangedI would include instructions, because I still haven't a clue how to affix the shooting fork to the thing. Without that, it's just a cheap walking stick.
What Others Should KnowIt doesn't come with instructions; and it is not obvious how it works. The spring loading is not very strong, so it bears very little weight. I'm not sure what the think was there (if there was any thinking).
