Things I liked:

I zeroed scope and and shot at a 15 yard target first two days. On third day, I took my .22 wood Marauder on my ranch hunting, I anchored 3 ground squirrels (all at 15 to 20 yards away). I found I had hit exactly where I had aimed. I then overlooked my canyon and saw a ground squirrel about 40 yards away in the top of an old hollowed-out oak tree. The wind was blowing hard from the north west. I sighted in 1" to the left of the squirrels upper shoulder and released the trigger. The ground squirrel dropped. When I reached the dispatched ground squirrel and saw the pellet had done its job exactly where I had anticipated. I then went down a trail I had made at the bottom of the canyon. Soon I saw two more ground squirrels. I took aim at the one on the left, and dispatched it too. I took squirrels to my meadow for the ravens to eat. This rifle is better than I expected. The wood stock with black cheek riser, is much more accurate than my .22 using cb shorts. Rifle handles like a shotgun.

Things I would have changed:

Rifle shroud and air reservoir appears to be painted rather than blued. I suspect it is because shroud is aluminum. Better rifle gauge as mine doesn't work reliably, however Crosman is going to replace it. I am using only the gauge on Benjamin pump until the new gauge arrives Quick disconnect on Benjamin pump is giving me problems and Sun Power is sending me another. Kudos to both of them. Is this rifle accurate, quiet, well built, worth the money, heavy, does it have a great looking solid feeling beautiful wood grain stock like the picture? Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, and yes! Would I recommend this .22 cal in wood stock instead of a .22 powder burner for dispatching ground squirrels without breaking the sound barrier? Yes! Was the Benjamin pump easy to operate with very little sweat for a 64 year old weighing 167 lbs.(takes 2 to 2 1/2 pumps per shot). I see no need for a scuba tank. Would I recommend Pyramid Air with their good prices and excellent satisfaction policy? Yes!

What others should know:

The following strings of 10 shots each from a single charge were mostly hole in hole and all 60 shots (6 strings)were able to be covered with a penny. Here are the 6 groups chronograph-ed with 1 full charge from Benjamin pump to 3000 psi. This with no adjustments to the rifle. Using Crosman Premiere 14.3 domes, here are the velocity of the 60 shots. String 1...860, 860, 865, 872, 866, 877, 864, 876, 882, 883: String 2... 881, 895, 893, 889, 880, 893, 902, 892, 891, 895: String 3... 896, 902, 898, 904, 900, 896, 902, 903, 902, 907: String 4... 907, 903, 900, 903, 902, 906, 901, 900, 892, 891: String 5... 888, 892, 889, 886, 884, 882, 879, 877, 873, 865: String 6... 865, 858, 855, 853, 847, 842, 838, 836, 830, 823. Don't lean against wall like a powder burner due to the free floating barrel. I canceled a pre-order of an NP2 due to delays and early reviews. Almost triple the money for .22 cal wood marauder. "Totally worth it to me." Awesome wood stock demands extra special care.

Things I liked:

Very accurate, great trigger, compact.

Things I would have changed:

Bolt not smooth.

I can't give a full review yet. I am waiting for my third .25 cal Benjamin Marauder. The first gun had shipping damage. The second gun worked really well for about 4 or 5 mags then malfunctioned. I had to return it. My original gun arrived 7 Dec. The next one arrived Dec. 30th. Who knows when the 3rd and hopefully last one will get here.

    Things I liked:

This riffel is amazingly accurate and very quiet. The sound of the pellet hitting the target is louder than the gun. I love to shoot it.

    Things I would have changed:

I got the manual pump to fill it and it's alot harder to pump it up to 2500 psi than I expected. Its quite a work out. I would love to have a compressor to fill it but its more expensive than the gun way out of my budget.

    What others should know:

The stock on the one I got is wood and had some significant defects in it but pyramid has all ready agreed to send me a replacement stock at no cost to me. It took one phone call and one email with pictures and it's on the way. excellent customer service !!

    Things I liked:

the accuracy, the safety where its located, the ability to customize the number of shots and power level. Its pretty darn quiet, I like just about everything bout the rifle

    Things I would have changed:

    nothing at this point

    What others should know:

if you going to play around with pressure adjustments you will need the degassing too. When you use the tool to dump the pressure it comes out of the barrel, took me forever to find the red cap that was on the muzzle. I did get the walther lothar barrel in 22 cal. before i decided on buying this i read Toms review of the marauder. The rotary mag took a bit to grasp for loading i had to study the procedure in the manual and play around a bit then it made since. I was shooting at 25 yards to site in using a utg scope, crosman premier domed watched the pellets on target as it got closer to bullseyes. shot bout 25 rounds after sight had a half inch hole in target great rifle.

    What others should know:

Wow! I've been debating buying a Marauder for several years and finally decided it was time. I can't say enough good things about mine. I ordered the .177 and I'm consistently shooting cloverleaf patterns with 2 full mags at 30 yards! I've only tried H&N Barracuda Hunters and don't feel the need to experiment any further as far as pellet brand/types. Next time I make it out to the dairy farm the starlings are in for a big surprise! A great shooting rifle all around!

    Things I liked:

The rifle is very accurate with heavy JSB pellets. The magazine works well and the trigger is excellent. About 70 full power shots in .177. Works well off sand bags.

    Things I would have changed:

Larger air reservoir would be nice. Could replace the forearm with a larger bottle which loose weight and increase shot count. Very bulky and heavy gun making it a poor hunting option, at least for a long hunt. Two or three magazines would be nice with a new gun. You can go through a lot of shots in a hurry and only having one mag really slows you down.

    What others should know:

Its like a hot car with an ugly paint job. The stock is coyote ugly but at least it is ambidextrous and I shoot left handed. I know I already said its bulky but its unbelievably bulky. Probably adds to the accuracy though, so it has that going for it, which is nice.

    Things I liked:

This is a solid, accurate, high-quality air rifle that is great for shooting varmints out to 30 yards or so, maybe even farther. The air reservoir is neat because it allows the owner to shoot dozens of shots without pumping. The rotary magazine allows for quick reloads. Trigger pull is surprisingly nice, though not custom. It is easy to tell when you are going to hit the trigger break point, which makes for really accurate shooting. I outfitted mine with a decent quality scope and could not be happier. I have owned this rifle for more than two years and I have not had a single issue with it, using the Benjamin .22 caliber pellets. Just recently I reconfirmed my sighting at 25 yards and was amazed to be able to put 10 pellets within half an inch of each other. Many went into the same hole. I use the recommended Benjamin pump with the rifle, and I have not had issues, other than getting winded pumping it up after using about half the available air pressure. Overall I am extremely pleased

    Things I would have changed:

I ordered this early on during the COVID-19 pandemic. It took Pyramid Air numerous tries before they were able to pull off shipping me a pump that actually worked. The first two pumps I received didn't function properly and looked like they had been used or refurbished, which was disappointing. Customer service started out pretty well, but ended with them being somewhat surly, in my opinion, and obtaining replacements was a very long process. It took weeks and weeks after receiving the rife before I was able to shoot my first pellet. This was probably due to the stress of the pandemic and the workforce and supply chain issues that were prevalent; I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt. I hope those issues have been corrected by now. The rifle itself is monstrously heavy, so it probably would not be a good match for diminutive or frail people.

    What others should know:

Head shots on ground squirrels at 25 yards are the norm with this high-quality rifle. It is extremely powerful, so owners need to be super-conscientious about where they are aiming and what their backstop is as this rifle could cause serious property damage or injury if used carelessly. This thing definitely ain't grand-pappy's Red Rider BB plinker. I found this to be an outstanding entry model for pre-charged pneumatic (PCP) air rifles. I ordered mine with the Lothar Walther match barrel and picatinny rail for mounting a Center Point 4-16x40 scope as part of the package deal. Pyramid also set it up for left-handed shooting for nominal additional cost. The other really great thing about this rifle is how quiet it is. And it looks like an air rifle, not a sniper rifle, which was an important consideration for me. As stated earlier, all things considered, I am extremely pleased with this investment in varmint-free living!

    Things I liked:

The gun itself is good. The repeating magazine is awful. It is a shame to have an expensive gun like this come with the junk they call a magazine.

    Things I would have changed:

Better magazine, not the junk they sent & better instruction manual.

    What others should know:

Pyramid air never did answer the phone or call me back from their automated system. It took them over 24 hours to reply to my multiple emails. In the end, they did send me a new magazine but I am not impressed with their responsiveness.

    Things I liked:

this thing was awesome out if the box and super accurate! this one was a 22 lothar barrel and just some adjustments to your scope and your good to go unless your scope is cheap. i suggest getting the vortex diamondback 4-12 x 40 as i has held up. the barrel does scratch easily so be aware and the stock can get marked up easily. I got it as a gift and have been using it since.

    Things I would have changed:

so, on the bolt action it gets much thinner and you use that to seat the pellet. this part does break, and this is the second time I've broken it. please make sure you've pulled your bolt action enough because I usually break the pins then. also, sometimes the pellets seem to get stuck and go into the bolt action right in a gap between the bolt action and the actual rifle. it's hard to pull the mag out when it's like that. also, you can fire it when you haven't pushed your bolt action forward enough and it causes basically a dry fire.

    What others should know:

honestly i would definitely suggest you buy this in lothar barrel. please use a nice scope and definitely buy yourself a compressor even though their pricey your arms will thank you later. please be aware of the bolt action breaking and pyramyd air will help you and they replaces my gun entirely the one time! this is heavy so be prepared to say it's too heavy, for me I've gotten used to it now. that's all that i know to tell you and to sum it up, HIGHLY SUGGESTED FOR BEGGINERS AND SMALL GAME.

Accuracy is phenomenal, enough so that I'm glad I didn't spend extra for a Lothar barrel I'm new to PCPs but find it hard to believe there's a better rifle for the money

    Things I would have changed:

Upon arrival the magazines were virtually impossible to insert, to the point that if I got one in it wouldn't rotate. If this happens to you just know that on top of the forward part of the receiver are two allen screws that, when loosened, allow you to move the barrel assembly. After loosening those screws and moving the barrel assembly out about .010" the magazines were just right. The other thing to note, and maybe I didn't read enough, but the rifle came charged to a bit over 3000 psi and I mistakenly thought the gauge was broken, not realizing it's shipped pressurized for a reason.

I bought the .25 caliber and I'm impressed with the 50 yard accuracy and power and haven't even got to properly bench rest it yet. And this is a really quiet rifle. Seems the impact on the target makes more noise than the report of the rifle. Really like the trigger. The good reviews I've read and seen seem to be spot on.

    Things I would have changed:

Would like more shots per fill, that being said, I think a bottled version would be a popular option and one I would have seriously considered.

    What others should know:

Worth the money, for sure. I'm looking forward to spending more time with this rifle.

    Things I liked:

.My rifle is one of the earlier 22 cal unregulated models.I continue to be so impressed with its accuracy that im considering buying the regulated rifle.Since my last review i tested the FX slugs.Believe it or not the crosman premier hollow point 14.3 were at that time the most accurate pellet out of many i tried.Bottle cap accuracy at 50 yards which widened to a 2 inch circle at 80 yards.Enter the fx slugs.Immediately hitting 1 inch high at 50 yards, with overlapped holes. So the fx slugs are flatter shooting and more stable..Now here is the really great part,,the accuracy widens very little at 100 yards. So my new problem was the thick reticle on the model of UTC scope i was using,,its a great scope but the rifle with the fx slugs is better.I now have Hawk Airmax with the etched reticle. It is a very fine reticle and hard for my 68 year old eyes to see against a dark back ground, but my first victim was a crow at 97 yards.

    Things I would have changed:

nothing except getting the regulated rifle which was not available when i purchased mine.

    What others should know:

One thing i do that i am convinced increases accuracy is lubing the projectile with silicon chamber oil.I use a breath mint container with the flip up cap, filling it with the pellet or now the fx slugs-im not going back to pellets-and then put a few drops of the lube in and slowly rotate the container so as to coat the slugs without denting them.

I'm new to PCP air gunning and have only shot this a few times almost finishing sighting it in; still a little work. I'm amazed at how quiet this air gun is, quieter than my old Springer. And, powerful. The sound of the pellet ricocheting is far louder than the report. I would have given it 5 stars all around, but I never do that until I put more time in. But on first impression, I'm impressed.

    Things I liked:

Accuracy!!!!! Has almost made a good shot out of me. I got the .177 with the Lothar Walther barrel. Well worth the extra $ in my opinion. Great shot count per fill. Love the ability for a quick follow up shot. I have been using a Benjamin Discovery, which is a good rifle, but if I missed with the first shot the quarry would be gone by the time I reloaded (dropped pellet, pellet in backwards, etc.). Actually I don't miss with the first shot nearly as often with the Marauder. Very quiet and backyard friendly. My only complaint is that I am running out of squirrels. I am very happy with my purchase.

    Things I would have changed:

Do something to eliminate the annoying "ping" when it fires. Other than that I love it.

    What others should know:

Hand pump gets a little tough around 2500 pounds. However I am 78 and able to get to 3000 if I take it easy.
