Things I liked:

I have both calibers .177 .022 I received the long shroud or long barrel version meaning the barrel is 7 inches longer than the one shown, it is the same on both. I have to say this was pure luck . These are the absolute most accurate air rifles i have in my collection, which includes all calibers of the benjamin marauder .177 . 022 .025 The FX royal , edgun which is not a repeater of course. and so on. These rifles with the longer shroud have outstanding range and accuracy. I have paired them both with center point 8-24-56 scopes, I will put these rifles up against any and all comers. I am very impressed.

Things I would have changed:

I use a sling pin bi pod which covers part of the fill port, I have to remove the bi pod to fill. No big deal I read that people talk about the price, After buying the R10 and seeing the capabilities of the rifle I would have paid more. You get what you pay for is a true statement here.

What others should know:

If you want to have an air rifle with absolute world class accuracy then this is the rifle for you, I would only buy from Pyramyd air they have great knowledge of these rifles and the products they sell. They have a great support team on staff and can answer all questions, if I could sell all of my other air rifles and just have my R 10s I would be satisfied. I hope this helped

Things I liked:

The looks, beautiful design and the stock is awsome.

Things I would have changed:

I paid for the $10 for 10 test ..!!! and the metal finish is mediocre, it leaks when filling and have to be cocked to avoid the air passing through the barrel. Accuracy is less than impressive and in 100 yd. shot I can see through the scope the pellet swirling in a spiral (ridiculous). And after only 20 or 25 shots air starts leaking so you have to cock it again to stop from loosing all the air. I can't believe I even wrote to Erica at Pyramyd Air before ordering to avoid this deception.

What others should know:

It is a VEEERY long barrel (43") and the picture Pyramyd Air has doesn't match the gun you'll get. Go for Air Arms every day folks.

    Things I liked:

I love this airgun. It feels great in your hands and the stock is beautiful. I can place shots pellet on pellet at 50 yards, and had the confidence in my shot to take a small pest in my yard at 65 yards. The finish on the stock is flawless. I like that it comes with an extra magazine. The cylinder is easy to fill even with a hand pump. I can fill my gun, load the magazines, and sit in my woods all day. The cocking action is smooth and silent enough to get off a second shot if I need to without alerting my target. It is also very quiet so backyard target shooting for those in suburban settings should be no problem.

    Things I would have changed:

Its heavy. The weight probably helps to minimize recoil when shooting, but I find I need to use a tree to help steady the gun before trying to take a shot.

    What others should know:

The adjustable butt is a nice touch that allowed me to tailor the gun to my shoulder. This makes it easier to be consistent in the woods when I shoulder the gun to take a shot.

    Beautiful gun.

    Things I would have changed:

I ordered this gun on july31 , I received gun aug 8th and the 2nd package with scope and rings ,pellets and a Male adapter on the 11 of August. I tracked package all the way from your warehouse to a FedEx center only a few miles from my home at that time fedex had both packages in route stating 2 parcels to be delivered on Aug 8 and on Aug 8 we only received 1 package that was opened on both sides without a manual, extra clip,no fill probe and no air cylinder. The only thing that was in the open box that I received was only the gun itself w clip in gun and to top it all off it had damage on the stock where the rosewood attached to the hand grip on stock.Pics were emailed to pyramydair the day we received our partial order and also a description of all missing items in box.We have made several attempts to contact pyramydair to resolve the missing items with no response at all.Let me correct my self ,we had one email sent back with absolutely no mention of resolving the missing items.

    What others should know:

I am in disbelief at this time that I have a BSA r10se costing over a grand just sitting in the corner of my home and cant shoot it ,as the days go by and I have not received any solutions of correcting the missing items the more frustrated I get.Im sure you would have to agree if you yourself was in my perdictament. Your company was recommended to me from a very loyal customer that has purchased 4 pcp and tons of accessories from pyramydair and has a very substantial YouTube channel and blog and he has asked me to give it a few more days to see if any solution to this prob is fixed before I start giving bad reviews on customer service. This is not what I'm about, but I really am frustrated that I have not fired this gun and have not even been contacted in a few weeks. I have written this not to be viewed by the public I know your people read all comments and I'm hoping that this gets in front of someone and contact me at your earliest convenience. Thank you, Keith Austin.

    Things I liked:

Do yourself a favor. Save up your money and get the BSA R-10. I ordered mine with the Leapers UTG 3-12x44 AO Accushot SWAT Rifle Scope and the first shot took out the "ten" at the center of the target right out of the box. This rifle feels more like a high-quality center-fire rifle. I get around 50 shots out of a full tank. Varmints have not had a chance since this gun arrived.

    Things I would have changed:

The gun is heavy and expensive. The weight makes it easier to shoot accurately. The price is, in my opinion, worth it.

    What others should know:

The rifle is finicky about the pellets you shoot. Don't waste your time with anything else. Get H&N Baracuds Match 10.65 grain, or Crosman Premier Ultra Magnum 10.5 grain (both in .177). Either one shoots a single-hole ten shot group.

Beautiful gun, nice stock, the gun is pretty quiet and it shipped with 2 mags. I tried several JSB weight pellets. Most of the pellets were pretty accurate. Surprisingly Crosman Destroyer 14.3 grain pellets were the most accurate and consistent.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing I can think of.

    What others should know:

My first gun the pressure gauge failed and Pyrimid Air quickly replaced it. When I unscrewed the barrel shroud the gun barrel it's self had 2 Orings on the end. My replacement gun doesn't have the Orings design??

    Things I liked:

This is an exceptional quality of an air rifle. it is super accurate and delivers on power etc. I have taken several hundred squirrels with this, as well as numerous bigger pests like raccoons, opossums. I have also taken out a few huge feral tom cats that were beating up my cat. You put good optics on it and you will be very happy. I love the trigger and the wood is just beautiful. this was a giant step up for me from the two Benjamins that I own. I get plenty of regulated shots so when I take it out to squirrel hunt, I know that I won't have to stop early. If I miss, it is me, not the gun. Love it

    Things I would have changed:

it is a little heavy but nothing that I can't deal with one way or another. other than that, nothing to change

    What others should know:

I have more money in this air rifle than my most expensive deer rifle but I use this R10 a lot and in my eyes, it was a great investment for what I get out of it.

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Things I liked:

Very accurate out of the box. My first full magazine produced a tight group at 25 yards. After a couple more magazines I got all 10 in a single hole, dime sized at 25 yards. I've tried 4 or 5 kinds of ammo, and all are accurate. However, JSB Jumbo Heavy 18.13 gives tight groups and 28 fpe. This an air rifle that handles like a center fire in size and weight and looks. The stock and all workmanship is very good for the most part. Given it's good accuracy that I could achieve on Day 1, without previous shooting experience with this gun, and without any modifications at all, it is clearly a 5 star on accuracy. The workmanship and quality also rate for 5 stars. I do have some minor complaints below.

    Things I would have changed:

The manual could be better. There are a few types and mistakes (like mm instead of cm in one place), but the most grevious one is that the magazine lock is neither pictured or discussed in the text. This can be confusing to a new owner. The first time I shot it, a complete filling to 230 bar would provide only 4 shots !! It did this about 4-5 times. The person who tested it at Pyramyd air made a note of frequent fills, but did nothing about it and shipped the gun to me. I called Pyramyd and talked with a shooting expert. We went through everything on this issue, and nothing really stood out as the problem. I was ready to ship the gun back. Then we discussed the bottle. I unscrewed the buddy bottle, and re-lubed the o-ring with molykote 1,1,1 and screwed the bottle back on. As the bottle was screwed on, there was clearly a non-concentric thread on either the bottle or gun. However, it now holds pressure and shoots a full 50 shots or more.

    What others should know:

My advice: (1) Test and break it in with JSB Jumbo Heavy 18.13 gr pellets; (2) Do not tamper with it, oil it, or anything to start with. Just shoot it and give it a fair chance as built; (3) Use a quality bench rest so that you are testing the rifle and not the rest or the shooter; (4) Study online from B.B. Pelletier what to use for maintenance and cleaning. Happy shooting - despite a couple of minor problems I'm very happy with this purchase.

    A very well executed rifle.

    Things I would have changed:

I might have spent the money for an even better scope.

    What others should know:

I agonized over purchasing this expensive rifle for awhile. Now that I have used it, I don't know if I have ever been as satisfied with a purchase in my life. It is solid, beautiful, deadly accurate, and extremely quiet. Whether you're looking to control pests or just have fun, you can't go wrong with the R-10. Perfect in every way.

    Things I liked:

This is my first PCP. Along with a Hawke scope 4-16x50 Endurance 30 SF. I like to shoot at targets 75 an 100yds. plus. Tried a variety of pellets. This gun is amazingly accurate at long range with JSB 18.1gr. Using a sandbag I can put 5 shots in row at 30yds. In virtually the same hole. When I don't it's not the gun but me. I purchased the Gamo Coyote for a lot less. But after shooting my R-10 SE. The Coyote is a joke! It lacks in every way compared to the R-10. Read one of the reviews that stated his Coyote was just as in his mind as good a gun as the R-10. Then he has not had the pleasure of shooting this gun! This is one of those times you get what you pay for!

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing!

    What others should know:

If you're thinking about getting your first PCP Then you can't go wrong with this one. Unbearable accuracy up to 100yds. With a high end scope. After going thru 10 thousand plus shots. It seems the more I pull the trigger the better it gets!

    Things I liked:

The stock is gorgeous and the styling is the best in my opinion. The design is clever and when working properly, this rifle is about as good as anything out there.

    Things I would have changed:

The factory regulator is poor. My R10 developed problems and I ended up having an aftermarket regulator fitted. The barrel crowning isn't great the hammer bounces a lot which wastes air and makes it noise.

    What others should know:

The good news is all the flaws in my R10 have been rectified. Rather than waste your time pursuing BSA, I recommend EVERYONE contact Carl at Air Tech Rifles in the UK. He replaced my regulator, recrowned the barrel, settled the trigger and the best bit - was his custom hammer system which cures the hammer bounce. He will sell you a new uprated regulator to fit yourself if you prefer. Carl turned my R10 from an expensive dog into a thoroughbred! I appreciate you guys are across the pond but believe me when I say the end results will make your R10 a future heirloom. His prices are incredible value so drop him an email from his website: www.airtechrifles.co.uk Tom in the UK

quiet, powerful, and accurate. this is a higher level of airgun. like fx, air arms, etc. everything moves so solid and smooth.

    Things I would have changed:

a better and more thorough set up explanation in manual. took a few attemps to get unit functioning correctly.

    What others should know:

the bolt action seemed a little stiff. there is a click at end of pulling bolt back that you can feel indicating pellet has chambered. i took 4 shots to zero in scope. was hitting nickel size groups at 40 yds, and i am not a great shot. i also spread 5 shots over 5 targets as quick as i can accurately and was 1/2 inch off or less to each bulls eye at 50 yds. this gun is pricey but you can feel it too.

    Things I liked:

The stock is fabulous!!! Never thought I would get one like that. Thought that the clip or magazine would be unlikable but just the opposite, a pleasure to use. This thing is crazy accurate, not gonna say I can do it every time but...I have put 5 in 3/8ths of inch at 50 yds. I have around 500 rounds thru it and it'll shoot just about anything up to 16 grain at fifty yards in 1and a1/8 inch. Regulator fluctuates 50 FPS up to 16 grain jsbs but when you hit 18 grain jsb's they tighten up to 10 FPS or less. That's when the jaw dropping starts! I want to say that this rifle doesn't throw fliers but what gun doesn't do that, it shoots that good. 30 shots on the regulator.

    Things I would have changed:

This gun thrills me, I like it that much, but.....the safety stinks. Very stiff and sticky feeling. Wish it was down by the trigger.

    What others should know:

This gun feels better than anything I ever put to my shoulder. It points and balances very nice. Fit and finish are top notch, and didn't say a thing about the trigger. Did not change yet, it's awsome. May lighten it a bit. Oh it's in. 22 it's a keeper.

    Things I liked:

Beautiful presentation. Accurate at every yardage I've experienced. Hole on hole at 18 to 25 yards, 3/4 inch group at 60 yards using hunting chair and bipod. Rifle is capable of even better if bench rested. Great trigger and good balance off hand. Rifle is very easy to disassemble and maintain with many videos on YouTube for the UK and others. I really like this airgun!

    Things I would have changed:

Ok! BSA stock regulation just isn't acceptable out of the box. It was acting as a restriction and producing the classic bell curve that unregulated airguns display. I disassembled the regulator, burnished the moving parts with extra fine steel wool, and used a tiny amount of molycoat/synthetic oil blend to lube the regulator piston. Reassembled and adjusted the spring tension on the regulator to confirm regulator response (1 3/4 turns in from flush). With regulator now responding, I achieved an extreme spread of 21 PSI for 30 shots. Not bad. However, I drank the online Kool-Aid and ordered an aftermarket regulator. Plug and play install, 10 fps extreme spread, over 40 shots. Great airgun when stock regulator works, but an AWESOME air rifle with the new regulator!!!

    What others should know:

I could not rate this gun with 5 stars overall because of the regulator issue. If you have some mechanical experience, don't be afraid to disassemble and work on this gun. But don't do anything you don't need to do either! I did not adjust the hammer spring, or go into any other internals. Except for the regulator the gun is fantastic right out of the box. I hope that Gamo (who now owns BSA air guns) will address this issue, but it may push the price up a bit. As it is, the pricing point on this premium rifle is very attractive. Watch for Pyramid Air's super sales and order with confidence.

Looks, feel, balance, craftsmanship, walnut stock, accuracy, regulated, trigger feel, ease of filling, recessed mag, continuous scope rail, sling swivel stud, threaded barrel, quietness, mag loading ease, real bolt, P-Air customer service! Ran out of allowed characters below: After 40 years of Crosman 2100 multi pumps (3 of them), I bought the .22 walnut as my first PCP gun and the BSA 3-12x44 scope.

    Things I would have changed:

Add a physical stop feature to prevent wasting air due to shooting an empty mag, I waste one shot each mag. Publish a more detailed owner manual. I don't know the regulated air pressure value nor how to adjust it. Knowing the value would tell me when to refill, avoiding wasted air. Offer left hand or ambidextrous in walnut (BSA does, PA does not).

    What others should know:

If getting a bipod, get one with picatiny rail sling adaptor like the Leapers UTG TL-BP78Q. This moves it forward of the fill port (I got lucky). For scope ring sizing the barrel top is 1.9mm higher than the dovetail rail top. This gun isn't light, with scope and bipod it weighs 10.4 lbs. I bought for backyard only so weight is fine for me. I don't know how to fill above 2900 psi to 3300 (232 bar). I bought the Air Venturi scuba fill adaptor and the AV 4500 psi carbon paint ball tank ($300), but both are regulated at 2900. This was supposed to avoid needing a $300 heart attack hand pump. The scuba tank process is awesome, only takes <1 minute to fill since the port just slips in w/o a snap fitting. Call PA customer service before buying if you have 'any' questions (like fill adaptors). They selected everything I needed, the call was the best customer experience of my 52 year life.

After reading reviews, watching videos and speaking with sales reps at pyramid I bought and received my R-10 22cal.shortly after the new year 2016. I had heard that the air arms and the daystate rifles where also good and around the same price range. Needless to say I didn't bother doing much research once I found out they want about 50 buck for extra mags(that's sick being that I bought 4 extras for the R-10 the same way I did when I got my ben-mar ). I was hoping all I read and saw wasn't hype. I have only shot from 7-15 yard but so far its unbelievable how accurate this gun is. I now know what you guy mean when you say stacking pellets, A few times I had to point away to make sure I wasn't out of pellets because I saw no change in the size of the pellet hole after several shots. I already was saying to myself "your crazy" when I bought the Ben-Mar for that price but I'm more than happy to have spent 2x as much for this gun.
