Things I liked:

Accuracy, weight of rifle, trigger, stock and the power,

Things I would have changed:

Get a little better rear sight on it.

What others should know:

I have this rifle in the .22 cal and .25 cal, this review is on the .22 cal. First, and most important, this is an accurate air rifle. CLEAN THE BARREL BEFORE SHOOTING IT, it comes filthy. I find the .22 is a little more accurate than the .25 and loves several different bullets. This rifle likes the JSB Diablo 18.13's (average 828 FPS) and they have penetrating power and accuracy. That is a good combination for hunting. (Crosman CP's 14.3 gr. average 911 FPS) This gun has too much power for just paper shooters. When you look above at what I like about this rifle, there is very little this rifle lacks. If you hunt, this is a good choice.

Things I liked:

The feel of the stock is nice or at least for me and the weight feels good also. Pyramid air and AGD for taking these things back, still have one and would fix it myself but Hatsan CS is unresponsive and the only place you can get the alive jam parts or a barrel.

Things I would have changed:

The length of pull is terrible way to long which causes issues with trying to mount scopes. Normal fire arms are around 13.5" to 13.75" these are 15" had one that was 16". Pull the pad off and you will then be able to use your scope. Make a desent product, improve QC and hire a desent customer service team at Hatsan.

What others should know:

I have gone through 4 of these. #1 dead gas ram, # 2 and 3 piston seals failed after 150-200 shots but they shot accurate while they lasted. Now #4, seals ok but shoots all oer the place, barrel bent up so no adjustment even left in open sights, maxed out and still 2" high. The alive jam pin is either to small or the hole in the breech block where it sits is to big and the spring to short. There is a .15 gap between alive jam pin and breech block hole meaning this rifle won't hit anything till the tolerances are fixed. Warranty well if you get a response from Hatsan consider yourself lucky, the WORST service I have ever seen. These rifles have major QC issues, poor fitting parts, over lubed pistons causing seals to fry, stock length variable but way to long for most. Rifle #3 had a hole bored through the side of the action that was done after the rifle was blued looked like it was done in a barn yard! I would guess it started life as a springer the was converted poorly to vortex ram.

    Things I liked:

punch, power, detriment to target, substantial rifle in all areas

    Things I would have changed:

just received, 50 pills taken thus far, so as of now not much very impressed

    What others should know:

anyone thinking (such as myself) that .177 and/or .22 is good enough or fun enough well just give .25 a shot, its something else, ordered the .22 but somehow received a .25, not happy at first but i am a believer in some things happening in our lives for our benefit, so ordered pellets, and to make this short i am still smiling while typing this... cant wait for more shootable rubbish to come my way cuz shooting paper is not near as much enjoyment, thanks pyramyd, you guys run your business as it should be for all.. have cheap red dot on until nvh subsides then will mount a hawk 4x scope for what i am assuming will be excellent poa to poi accuracy. just had a thought, most say including myself to clean barrel first and for some reason this one was clean, hope its not a remanufactured one but its flawless so far, chrony was 650 to 710 for first 5 shots 25gr jsb. thank you for reading my 2 cents have a great day everybody

    Things I liked:

I got lucky! Bought mine elsewhere..and was fearful..of bad piston/seal or other problem. None exist. PA guns should be even better! Legitimate power/accuracy claims. I have a Beeman Mach 12.5 .22 and compared performance. The 125 IS slightly more powerful..although the Mach has 2000 rounds thru it. It is louder...which is not a factor for my uses. Synth. Stock! My 12.5 has Two stocks..one is scarred. This gun will take over as heavy critter workhorse!! I am now able to restock my. Rare Mach.!!!

    Things I would have changed:

NOTHING to the gun. Usual scope stuff..but I ALREADY had a 6x24 ...waiting to bust the supplied one first before mount. Scope work good for now.

    What others should know:

It seems a lot of us are 60 plus. I can cock it all day...but WHY? You COULD plink with it..it make good destruction...if you need 50 plus shots to make your game limit..you got 50 whatever ..unless you are blind. It accurate and powerful...as advertised. If I get 100 shots on game with it and it breaks. It still money well-spent. Kills from deer size on down. Easily. Humanely.18.2 Crow mag. FX 25.39.gr. Need no others..except to fool around.

The overall fit is good. I liked the adjustable trigger and the iron sights.

    Things I would have changed:

The air rifle is too nose heavy - difficult to hold up while standing.

    What others should know:

Make sure they specify whether you're buying a new or used air rifle. I only found out mine was "remanufactured" after I rcvd it. Also, the bore was filthy.

    Things I liked:

Power is as advertised and the accuracy was a pleasant surprise. The big pieces seem robust. The report is not too loud and the recoil is manageable. The terminal performance with mid to heavy weight pellets is impressive (14.3gr - 21.14gr). Cocking effort is stout but I can cock it one handed. I'm about 150 shots into the break in cycle and it is getting better with every shot.

    Things I would have changed:

The length of pull of the stock is ridiculously long (and I'm 6'6" tall!). Then it comes with additional spacers! I will not complain about the weight. It is a full power magnum springer and it is what it is. Be aware it is as long and heavy as an M1 Garand! In my opinion the rubber recoil pad is too soft.

    What others should know:

I did the research before I bought it and I knew what I was getting into. With that said, the trigger blade snapped in half after about 30 shots. The trigger failed where the first adjuster screw hole was drilled through it. Hatsan customer service responded promptly to my inquiry. They agreed to ship me a replacement trigger blade and I had it in eight days. Results: entirely satisfactory.

    Things I liked:

Very well made and rugged. I took the rifle out of the box and put the scope in my tool box because I purchased this rifle to shoot open sights. I fired 8-10 round through it to eliminate the dieseling with the oil on the cylinder. I was using Crossman Premier 14.3 he pellets and I was getting a true 890 FPS. I plan to order some lighter weight JSB (around 13.43 gr) and recheck the velocity. This rifle shoots very well and is acurate! I have a 13 inch, tin pie plate hanging in a tree at 75 yards and I can hit that off-shoulder all day long. Also, this gun shoots flat compared to my other air rifles. Very nice rifle. I have not tried the scope but I understand they are not the best quality. NOTE - I also have a Walther Magnum air rifle made by Hatsan and could not keep scopes on the rifle. The recoil would internally damage the scope. If your thinking of another scope for this rifle make sure it comes with a lifetime warranty.

    Things I would have changed:

    So far so good.

    What others should know:

Nothing. I am familiar with these air rifles.

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Things I liked:

The gun is quite accurate and pellet friendly. I have found all these to be very accurate- JSB 18.13; H&N Terminators; H&N Sniper Magnum; Crosman Premiers 14.3, both domed and hollow point, Hatsan, both Supreme and Express. It is powerful; up close it will shoot through a pine 2x4. Gun is well made and seems very solid. Noise level is medium loud, may not be advisable in an urban back yard. Cocking effort is not bad, about the same as my Crosman nitro piston Elite .22. I like the TruGlo sights even though I use a Leapers scope. The original 3x9x40 Optima didn't last very long. The gun would rate five stars overall, but for the trigger and scope. Following all the instructions on the web and in the enclosed literature, I cannot lower the trigger to to a point I like.

    Things I would have changed:

If Hatsan is going to enclose a scope with the gun, then add one that will last and raise the price. For me the trigger is poor; I don't think an average air gunner should have to tune the trigger to get the pull weight down.

    What others should know:

The gun is heavy, and more so with a scope; I wouldn't recommend it for hunting. The sniper model of the 125 is available with a suppressor and I would get it for urban shooting.

    Things I liked:

This is powerful and accurate. CLEAN THE BARREL!! The Scope SUCKS!! Buy a good scope! Shot a small bird with a 15.9 gr JSB at 25 yards and it exploded!

    Things I would have changed:

The lock-up of the barrel when closing, is way too weak. Needs a more secure locking mechanism.

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Things I liked:

I think this airgun is a great value as an entry-level air gunner. Many YT vids on disassembly, repair etc. I've only put about ten rounds through it so I have no feel for its accuracy yet. The trigger feels very good and I haven't even touched it yet. Of course the scope is junk. I bought a UTG 3x9x40 Hunter, its bright but the eye position and eye relief is critical for a good sight picture. Haven't shot it enough to judge repeatability.

    Things I would have changed:

I do not like the shape of the trigger, the pull of the stock or handgrip. It's very "euro" and that's OK but I'd prefer something else. I removed the recoil pad completely, the pull is ridiculously long. Wished I had gotten the sniper model with a more pistol-like grip.

    What others should know:

The cocking force is tough. That Vortex piston is no joke. If you're a paper-killer like me, you'll have to consider getting up off the bench to cock your gun. Sure, I can cock it seated but do I want to? No. I'm no weakling but at age 66 I'd be done shooting after 20 rounds if I stayed seated and to me that's not enjoyable. My whole mindset when I bought this package was "to see if I would like airguns and not spend a lot of money." I made the right choice, its a great value.

    Things I liked:

Pyramyd is just great. Hatsan not so. Product arrived quickly. Gun would not cock. Trigger would not work. Rear sight was wobbly. The design appeared to be OK but quality and workmanship was not present. Pyramyd took the gun back quickly and gave full credit. Again, Pyramyd is great. I purchased then a Beeman from Pyramyd.

    Things I would have changed:

    Quality and workmanship

this hits hard very accurate . im using h n barracda 27.47 grain ammo dime sized groups at 30 yards. buy ya couple averaging 32 foot lbs muzzle energy.... again way to go hatsan.

    Things I would have changed:

add sling swivels and mounts . lower cost lil. but still worth the money.

    What others should know:

stop reading and buy a couple these sledgehammers....... be safe and enjoy...also gamo gun buddy sling works well on this rifle. ccheers.....

    Things I liked:

Accuracy and power. For my purposes the weight of the rifle is not a negative. It is my first gas ram and like being able to leave it cocked while hunting.

    Things I would have changed:

The safety is counter intuitive to my RWS air rifles. The RWS pushes in to fire and the Hatsan 125 pulls out. This has caused me problems. The Hatsan 125 is not rebuild and maintenance friendly like other air rifles owned. Adjusting the trigger took patience and lots of trial and error. The trigger was terrible until adjustment was completed.

    What others should know:

The barrel pivot was loose. I tightened the pivot bolt but the looseness returned after a few shots. The loose pivot didn't seem to effect accuracy and as a result will not adjust anymore until the accuracy deteriorates. Loose stock screws did cause an accuracy problem until tightened. The loose screws were a result of the barrel pivot take down and I failed to snug up the screws properly. My 125 likes the Crosman .22 Premiers which are a less expensive choice. The Premiers are a better fit in the barrel and other brands have to be seated. My highest velocity is with Premiers. Accuracy and power are a plus. I don't particularly like dealing with Hatsan service. Hatsan controls parts and service by a cumbersome process.

I love My Hatsan 125 vortex .25 rifle. It's built with well fitting, good quality parts, very accurate and definitely *powerful.*

    Things I would have changed:

    Different stock options.

    What others should know:

A great hidden feature that nobody seems to mention is: Under the stock, there is a PCP style fill port to fill the vortex gas spring for even more performance! I can lower the spring pressure for target shooting.... & boost it for hunting! This feature alone puts the 125's power & versatility above all other break barrel air rifles I own.

nice looking clean rifle. Cocking effort is not a problem (if you can't move 50 lb you should not have a pellet gun)

    Things I would have changed:

Butt stock is too long for the scope provided. Will try to cut it off (No, I am not a dwarf -- I'm 5'10")

    What others should know:

Butt stock feels light but sturdy. Haven't fired many shots yet. But I'm jealous because my wife hit a bulls eye (2 inch) with her second shot over 150 ft. I am a little concerned about the repeat-ability of shots fired because the scope is mounted on the rear (not movable part of the gun whereas the the sights are on the barrel. I expect that locking the barrel back after loading will move the barrel by 1000's of an inch over time (due to wear) which will make shots unreliable. But so far I'm happy and the scope is "good enough" as soon as I can reduce the length of the butt stock.

    Things I liked:

What a great rifle.... as mentioned by other individuals with their rifle, definitely clean the barrel preferably with a bore snake... I have the 25 caliber version and was immediately impressed on the JSP match pellets how well they fit snugly in the rifle chamber... The very first shot from 20 feet out the impact was directly within the one in where I was aiming at and the pallet easily penetrated three-quarter inch press bored with ease... Read from a prior comment how the gun hits like a sledgehammer... Believe me it does... I have owned Uramax,Crosman and Benjamin rifles but nothing like this Hatsan..... it is a wonderful gun... If you decide to invest in a new pellet rifle definitely consider the Hatsan in a 25 caliber version... You will love it

    Things I would have changed:

Offer this version of a pellet gun in a laminated stock

I have had my rifle for 2 years now and it has preformed very well indeed. I have hunted with it and have been able to bring home the beacon. I have put 5 cans of pellets through the gun and it has not failed me yet.

    Things I would have changed:

I did change out the scope, I'm 63 and needed to bring things in closer.

    What others should know:

This is a good gun for the price. It has been supper reliable and is of high quality and craftsmanship.
