Things I liked:

Tried a dozen different pellets with my .177 Marauder. These are the most accurate pellets I have found thus far. The H&N FTT shot just as well, just less energy at impact. My Marauder doesn't seem to like the larger diameter pellets. These pellets are very accurate and deliver good energy. I have shot 4 tins through my Marauder and haven't noticed a single flyer yet. Out of the 4 tins I've only found one deformed skirt. I don't mind paying a little extra for this kind of quality, accuracy and a screw on lid. H&N are the best pellets made IMO.

Things I would have changed:

Not one single thing.

What others should know:

As most serious shooters know, there are re-branded versions of this pellet. I'd rather buy "straight from the horses mouth" so to speak. The re-branded versions really aren't much cheaper either. If you are searching for that "special" pellet, these should be the first pellet you try!

Things I liked:

No lead dust, pellets are clean and shinny.

Things I would have changed:

Less distortion in the shape of the head. Make then in other head sizes too such as 4.49mm to 4.51mm

What others should know:

I was looking for the best ammo for my HW100. This ammo produce the worst 5-shot group at 25 yards, average group size 0.7 inch. Once in a while, it shoots a flyer. This should not happen for an expensive ammo like this. Other brand of ammo I used in test were, JSB, Crosman, Beeman, and RWS.

    Things I liked:

compared to other pellets, these are VERY consistent in size and weight, and the skirts are thick enough to hold their shape, not nearly as many deformed pellets as some other brands... and they group great in my gun.

    Things I would have changed:

A little more lube to seal them, I've had some that oxidized very quickly because they were exposed

    What others should know:

Head size matters, grab a sampler and see.

    Things I liked:

Thie 4.50 mm is my base line pellet in my Diana Model 34's (1996) and (2002), also my Gamo Whisper Fusion Mach 1. The 4.52 mm does better in the Diana 340 N-tec. The slight difference in barrel diameters requires different diameters in pellet selection to ensure that "Goldie Locke's", not to tight / not to lose fit. The consistency in diameter sizing is excellent. I have experienced with other manufactures that the diameter size varies more.

    Things I would have changed:

    nothing

When I'm testing ammo in a new .177 air rifle, I always start with these. Identical to the old Beeman Kodiak Match pellets.

The go to distance pellet!! wow.

    Things I would have changed:

Hitting golf balls from 100 yards. Getting 4-5 inch grouping from 100 yards. Getting hits at 145 yards on 12" target. All on a Crosman Diamondback 177cal break barrel. They do not group as well at 50 yards and under. Go with a different pellet at 25-50 yards imho. Worth the cost if you are a distance shooter!

    Things I would have changed:

    What others should know:

Great pellet for high performance air rifles, my Gamo Magnum .177 has an exit velocity of 1500 ft per second, the Barracuda pellet is ideally suited to high performance air rifles.

Shoot these about 30 times to let them "lead in the barrel" that's what I did. At 30 yards in my backyard, you can cover every group with a dime. Many groups are one ragged hole. No flyers! This is with a BSA R10 SE.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing.

    What others should know:

I am going to try the 452 head size too. These are 450.

    Things I liked:

H & N has better grouping than other types of the equal grains - I grew up with Benjamin and by looking at the paper target these tumble, not made like they used too. I use .177 Benjamin Trail XL w/Nitrogen Piston 1500fps also updated scope to ACCUSHOT w/Red-Green; Mil-Dot IR, 30mm Tube. I also had .177 & .22 in the older model rifles which are hand pump, been using air rifles over 40 yrs.

    Things I would have changed:

Maybe the pellets need to be cleaned little more before shipping, has lead powder residue left inside can.

    What others should know:

Always clean your pellets' before you use them, (around 100 at a time or so)very gentle blow off pellets with air & add a very light (3in1 oil) just enough to light coat them. If you put too much - just gently pour pellets on a soft dry rag and wipe off and reoil. Should leave just a little oil on your fingers from pellet when loading. (Oil helps in lubrication of barrel) Put pellets back into shipping container.

Have a .177 Marauder with Lothar Walther barrel? This is your pellet. My marauder puts 4/5 of these *in the same hole* out to 20 yards and groups 3/4 inch at 50 yards if I do my part.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing. Maybe bulk purchase ability.

    What others should know:

H&N Baracuda are good pellets, the Baracuda Match are the factory sorted version, usually better consistency.

    Things I liked:

I have waited a while before giving this product a rating in order to be as fair and unbiased as possible. Consistency across the board is great compared to others, a big thumbs up to H&N. These pellets enabled me to score the highest I have scored to date in field target with a 50/60. I have yet to encounter any damaged pellets which is great, in the past when using JSB/AA I was having to throw to many pellets away due to skirts being dented which is unacceptable considering the price. I also want to thank Pyramyd Air for making things right as one of the tins I received in my order was dented. I received another tin in very short order after placing a email to customer service.

    Things I would have changed:

I wish H&N would go back to packing 500 pellets to tin, hence the 4 star rating for value for money. Then again perhaps this was a move to avoid damaged pellets during shipping.

    What others should know:

This pellet as well as the 4.52mm head size need to be on all air gunners short list to try. I witnessed several PCP rifles that showed a definite affinity for these pellets. My Lothar Walther barreled Marauder put 4 of these pellets into one ragged hole at 45 yards fifth shot was about a half inch away which easily could have been me since this was shooting from a folding stool and sticks field target style. The pellets were straight from the tin I do not sort by weight or head size, life is to busy for that.

After trying at least 20 other brands, and weights, these shot the most accurate in my Marauder. I got quite a few 1/2" groups at 50 yds, but I also got a lot of groups that were 1/4" at 50 yds.

    Things I would have changed:

nothing needs to change - it's the best in my rifle.

    What others should know:

it's good to chrono these to find how it shoots, and that's true of all pellets. Also gives you an idea of performance in th ewiind - a big deal for air rifles.

    Things I liked:

I have a (no longer manufactured) .177 Air Venturi Bronco air rifle with a 4x Konus scope. These Barracuda match 10.65 gr pellets are the most consistently accurate next to the cheaper Crosman Premier 7.4gr. The Barracuda hits small pests hard and spot on at 25yds.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing on the pellet.

    What others should know:

On the rifle - The windage hard sights on the Venturi Bronco could have been made easier to adjust. Minor issue but overall, bet (2-stage) air rifle trigger for the money (if you can find a bronco).

    Things I liked:

Searching for the pellet with best, consistent accuracy is a chore. For my Air Arms TX 200 III this is the best ammo I've found. Bench rest with 5 shot groups at 10 meters is as good as it can get. Each of the 5 shot groups enter or touch same hole, making 1 big hole 90% of the time. At 20 meters 1/2 inch groups, at 40 meters maximum distribution is inside 2 inches. How could it get any better? If anyone can tell me there is something better out there I want to hear it.

I have a Gamo .177 Black Knight. It's a springer/break barrel. I have shot at least 1500 rounds (total) of all different sizes and grains. Beeman 11.57 Silver Arrows, JSB Monster Diablo 13.43, Crossman Premiers Domed 10.5, Gamo Red Fire 7.8, Gamo Rockets 9.6, RWS Hyper Max 5.2. If you have a higher powered air rifle go with these and I promise you won't be disappointed. I changed out the stock scope to a 4-16x40 Centerpoint Illuminated Rectile and with this combo I'm getting 1" groups from a bench @ 100 yards! I get an occasional stray (maybe 1 out of 10) but nothing compared to the others. I'm even shooting through old aerosol cans at that range (they hit hard)!

Nothing..... Getting ready to order more!
