Things I liked:

accuracy, easy install, sights in quickly, fast delivery and excellent support

Things I would have changed:

alternate sizes for aperture would be a nice addition to accommodate various light conditions

What others should know:

I have the Williams peep sights on a Crosman Phantom, and on both a Benjamin 392 and 397. My accuracy has improved significantly. If you're a target shooter, your groups are going to close dramatically and if you hunt small pests you'll be making humane head shots with ease.

Things I liked:

It works as an aperture sight once you get it zeroed.

Things I would have changed:

A very basic aperture sight. Adjustments are crude, about the same level as the cheap factory rear sight on a Crosman 1377. The windage adjustment, if it can be called that, has no witness mark, making it even cruder. The mounting screws are extremely small. Maybe they'll hold a springers recoil. I guess I will see.

What others should know:

If you are used to and looking for old-school Williams quality of the 60s thru the 90s, you will be shocked at this. I guess the fact that it is made of aluminum instead of plastic makes it a Williams. Once you get it zeroed---precisely? Good luck---it will work fine. Best bet is forget the absolute idea the Williams meant quality. Perhaps they do, but not at this level. The next step lower is plastic.

    Things I liked:

Went in my Beeman R1 and R10 which have the aperture front sights and had plenty of adjustment for 10m and farther for outside. Simple and easy.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing

    Things I liked:

The Williams aperture sight is well made. Adjustments are precise. Visible improvement in accuracy over the fine open sights of my HW57. After several hundred shots, the sight has not shifted. I used my HW57 for plinking beverage cans, clay pigeons, and other similar sized targets. I have no problem hitting these targets at distances up to 75 yards. If I see the target, I can usually hit it. I have the same Williams sights with target knobs mounted on a high power Diana Mauser 98 underlever right. The sight has not shifted under the heavier recoil of the K98. I can buy different sized apertures for the rifle.

    Things I would have changed:

The Williams Aperture sight is time tested. At the price of this sight, I can't think of any improvements. I have several and have yet to find a complaint.

    What others should know:

The Williams aperture sight is value priced and of high quality. It improves accuracy and evokes smiles when you hit a distant target. There is no reticle to break from the recoil of high powered gas/spring powered rifles.

    Things I liked:

Easy to install and use. The Height and range of adjustment perfectly matches the wooden version stock on my Avenger.

    Things I would have changed:

A version with the TK (target knobs would have been my choice. But They are available from Williams.

    What others should know:

They perform as well as sights costing twenty times as much. Don't count clicks, count turns (five minutes per 360 degree rotation). Do this by coloring one of the indentations on the adjustment head and a corresponding mark on the sight body. Always establish a "bottom" on the sight in clicks from your selected elevation in case you lose your attention span.

I like the simplicity and the quality of the sight.

    Things I would have changed:

If you can find one get the model with the adjustment knobs.

    What others should know:

This model requires a bit of patience to get set up.

    Things I liked:

Well built, excellent fit and finish. Works as advertised-very well.

    Things I would have changed:

Add application info to the product page. This sight requires a tall sight post, limiting its usefulness at short range.

    What others should know:

Williams make a lower profile version that works better on guns like the 2240. The Williams FP-GR-TK Aperture Sight is the one for that and similar applications. The sight I bought will find its home on a Crosman Valiant .22.

    Things I liked:

Fits the dovetail grooves on my Crosman Vantage .22. Very easy to mount and adjust.

    Things I would have changed:

Maybe two different sized aperture fittings? Perhaps an included 'adapter' to fit Picatinny/weaver mounts.

    What others should know:

I purchased this because I was not satisfied with the rear sight on my Crosman Vantage .. this was really an experiment. I had to turn the underside grip/mount around (easy to do) so that it was going in direction to fit the dovetail. I mounted mine very close to my eye .... It is said by some that you "need" to have the front and rear sights on a Break Barrel rifle both on the barrel ... however, I have had no problems at all with the Diopter sight on the back of the rifle .. it locks down tight and holds zero no problem. Most rear sights are easy to remove and this is (in my humble opinion) an upgrade to most of them.

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Things I liked:

This got rid of vertical stringing on my springer rifles, compared with the notch and post stock sights. I guess my hold wasn't bad but I wasn't lining up the post with the notch. The peep hole makes the eye and brain automatically want to see the post right in the middle. Compared with competing peep sights that would fit, which are few, it is a good value. The design is classic Yankee-jankey, like something someone designed 100 years ago out of frustration with the times, but it all works in the end. And my springers can beat on it all day and it won't get out of adjustment.

    Things I would have changed:

I was at the limit of vertical adjustment when the front peep barely aligned with the post, and this is the "high" peep. It doesn't look like the vertical lock will secure the top if it extends more than halfway up the scale, and the vertical screw is in fully at that point anyway, so maybe make an "even higher" peep sight? Or I suppose one could get an adapter to raise it.

    What others should know:

If you can't get the peep to line up with your front post even at the limit of windage, try flipping the sight around, as the mount is a little biased to one side. It fits my Beeman Sportsman .177/.22, a Diana 250, and a Hatsan 25 pistol. On the pistol, the large front sight is too close to the diopter to see well, but I can remove the diopter and see the front post well through the ring, and it is at least as accurate as with the stock sights, maybe better. For example, if I broke my stock rear sights I would prefer the Williams over a replacement notch from Hatsan. Careful, "once you go peep you'll sight in your sleep".

    Things I liked:

    Well finished Good sight picture

    Things I would have changed:

Fiddly to install. Time consuming to adjust elevation and especially windage.

    What others should know:

I bought one of these some years ago, marketed in the UK by Beeman I recall. It had finger knobs with click stops to adjust windage and elevation, vastly superior to the arrangement on this unit.

    Things I liked:

Build quality is nice. The price seems decent at first so the lack of screw for adjusting lateral movement is pretty sad.

    Things I would have changed:

The manual lateral adjustment is worse than any sight that ships with any rifle. All have a turn not slide adjustment.

    What others should know:

Consider going with the more expensive full proof with target knobs. That has an actual screw for lateral adjustment.

    Things I liked:

I have 4 of these sights 3 airguns and a 22 cz they are a good cheap receiver sight that works. Mounts to dovetail real well.

    Things I would have changed:

Takes some doing to adjust, but hold a adjustment. Would like to see steel construction.

    What others should know:

Not a sight for some one who likes to fiddle with micro adjustments, wont take a lot of rough abuse.

    Far better than notch sights.

    Things I liked:

This sight is well made for the price.

    What others should know:

I have fat fingers and it is difficult to manipulate the little screw that locks the dovetail backup wedge in place. I have tried it on 3 rifles and haven't been able to match it up to the front sight that comes with the gun. it sits too high and wont lower enough to bring the shots on target.

    Rating 4.04.0 4.0

    Things I liked:

This is the second style of willaims peep I have purchased. This unit is sturdy and has stayed zeroed after encountering the typical handling and slight bumping a rifle would normally encounter. All the connections tighten down well and are rock solid.

    Things I would have changed:

Not much, it would be nice if Williams would make an insert pack with popular different sizes so you could change the hole size for different shooting scenarios. It seems they all screw in the same threads so you could make a universal kit to sell separately.

    What others should know:

I always say that the fasteners are marginal on these willaims sights. The screw quality is good but the slots are very shallow. Be very careful when selecting a screw driver to tighten the screws. Also you will need to disassemble the sight to mount it. It is very easy, once you realize that is what is needed. Switch back and forth snugging the Allen headed screws down and don't drop that little wrench! This setup is pretty good on my hw30s. I use the post and bead front insert and it seems to be a winning combination. The hole is larger than I would have liked so I moved the sight down the dovetail further from my eye to make the hole appear smaller. It has worked well for the target shooting and light pesting (sparrows) I use the rifle for.
