Things I liked:

I like a lot of things about this rifle. When it came I thought, that's a lot of rifle for the money! It has a nice weight to it, maybe more than you'd want to carry all day in the field, but to me the heft is an advantage. It feels very solid and I think the mass helps accuracy. The trigger is fine. This rifle is manufactured under license in China, but it seems very well made! and I have had zero problems with it. No leaking seals, no loose screws, zero problems. I like the wood stock a lot. Cocking effort is manageable. I have no complaints! It is also deadly accurate. I'm picking off crows at 50-80 feet using Beeman Crow Magnums. I haven't even mounted the scope, just using the nice open sights. I do miss some shots, but I believe when I miss, my marksmanship is probably more to blame than the rifle. It's a great way to train yourself to be a more accurate shooter. Kill power with the crow magnums is excellent. If you hit them in the wing or tail you may just get a squawk and knock off a couple feathers, but anywhere else and they crash & burn. You do not need .22 for these critters. The muzzle velocity with the .177 pellets is impressive. This is a real weapon. I've had the rifle for over a year, and have fired 500 rounds through it. Highly recommended!

Things I would have changed:

Don't want to sound like some company shill, but I honestly cannot think of what I would change. Great rifle for the money.

Things I liked:

The ball bearing detent at the barrel breech, which holds the barrel in place after cocking, came flying out into oblivion, before I reached what I would estimate to be less than 50 pumps. Gun is just a couple weeks old. Highly disappointed, not only in the defective purchase, but also in the lack of response to email and phone calls to resolve the issue. Waited for over 20 minutes on hold, only to have an automated voice tell me that no one is available and subsequently hung up.

    Things I liked:

The Ruger Airhawk manufactured by Umarex is a quality rifle that provides excellent value. A Diana 34 clone, the action is a tried and true design that will send pellets where you're aiming. The best part of the rifle is that it carries with it all the lessons (and frustration) that a Springer has to offer at a price point any new air gunner can afford. As a new shooter with an Airhawk you'll have a chance to tighten stock screws, lubricate piston seals, master a two stage trigger, learn artillery hold and follow through, exercise the iron sights, zero a scope, and feel the joy of breaking the barrel over and over. That is to say the Ruger Airhawk is a full fledged Springer with all the demands (and not far behind in capability) of a high-end Springer. If you can shoot this gun well, you'll be lights out with everything else you pick up, and for that fact it makes a very fine introductory air gun; Not only for the affordable price, but for the demands it puts on the new shooter

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing needs changed for this air gun, it will fire thousands upon thousands of pellets upwards of 900 fps, and never complains about the work.

    What others should know:

As with all entry level or budget items in the world of airguns you will find the blueing is rather thin and it does require you to wipe it down after each use. Failure to do so will earn you light corrosion at first, and repeated failures will result in rust and permanent damage to the finish. This is all especially true on the area of the barrel where the salts and oils on your hands will accumulate from cocking the rifle. Tighten the stock screws carefully, and don't be too hard on the wood stock. While it all works well, it's important to remember that the materials are a lower grade for the rifle to remain affordable. The rifle performs reliably with Daisy Precision Max Flat Nosed .177cal 7.8gr pellets.

    What others should know:

Check the screw that holds the barrel on. Mine was loose. Once I tightened it I noticed a HUGE change in accuracy. Also check the screws that hold the stalk to the frame they needed to be tightened on my gun also. I went from 3 good ones with a few all over the place to quarter size 5 shot groups @ 40yds. I almost returned it before I found the video that told me how to fix it. GREAT GUN!! Oh and one last thing. Stock up on pellets because you are gonna be going through them faster than you think.

So far, not happy. Maybe if we had purchased a more expensive gun, it would be more accurate?

    Things I would have changed:

I wish it were more accurate. Pellets seem to be all over the place - no consistency. I went back to using my 22 rifle for small game and it is also a Ruger which is very accurate.

    What others should know:

New to airgunning. A bit heavier than expected but feels very sturdy. I'm still learning to use the open sights but it's pretty accurate even with me being inexperienced. Louder than I would like but my neighbors may be okay with it. I'm trying to perfect the artillery hold because the way I hold it really affects my accuracy. Still trying different pelkets based on other reviews. Cocking requires a real effort but I'm hoping that gets easier with more shots fired. I really like this gun and would recommend it. Good value.

This rifle is louder than I wear expecting. I shout in my backyard and worry about the neighbors getting upset. Great rifle for the money and good quality build. Ruger always puts quality in their work.

It does tend to send shots wild from time to time. I do not know if it is a gun issue or a pellet issue.

    Things I liked:

This is the first break barrel air rifle I have purchased, and the first air gun I have purchased since I was 12 years old. Here is what I like: Price; Appearance and feel; Accuracy (once I found the right pellet); Cocking effort; Trigger

    Things I would have changed:

Combo packs should always contain adequate hardware that will function with the rifle. I doubt the included scope was air gun rated. The "Ruger" 4x32 scope failed after approximately 50 shots with it mounted (300 shots total). The reticle piece came loose inside and rendered the scope unusable

    What others should know:

I have owned this rifle for about 4 months. This is a very nice adult air rifle. New owners may have the following concerns: stiff trigger, hard to cock, dieseling. All of the concerns will subside after the break-in period, which for me was about 500 shots. The rifle will become much more accurate after break-in, and you find the correct pellet. For my rifle, I have found that the Crosman Premier Domed Ultra Magnum (10.5 gr.). My rifle also shoots the Crosman Premier Domed Lights (7.9 gr.) very well. The Crosman Ultra Magnums are less expensive, and pack more of a punch when it comes to pest control. It will easily take a large fox squirrel at 30 yards (open sights).

    Things I liked:

This is a decent beginner rifle. It has a bit of a kick, which I had no clue about when I got mine about 4-5 years ago. Mine has since died, and reasonably so. *WARNING* Do not leave it cocked for more than an hour! I left mine cocked for days, and it was fine surprisingly, however, I left it cocked for almost the entire reason and the spring was toast, and it now shoots with HEAVY VIBRATION, and at like 250 fps. No surprise, but I was about 10 when I got it, and knew nothing about this sort of problem. The scope it comes with is adequate for the air rifle's capabilities. Although, I was picking pear stems at 30 yards, with open sights, I'd say it was all luck as it does about a 2-3 inch group at that range from what I've heard.

    Things I would have changed:

Stronger stock. My stock shattered on me one day when I accidentally released the barrel before it was cocked. I know, my fault, but I think it snapped a little too easy.

    What others should know:

If you want to target shoot, hunt, or just plink cans in your background, this is an all-in-all very good gun, but on a beginner level. For the price, if you take care of it, you'll have it for a long time, and the squirrels and rabbits will hate you! Mine took one heck of a beating, and it was a good gun. I took a head shot on a bird, instant death at 30 yards... So yeah, if you got $120 to spend, grab it.

    Things I liked:

I bought this gun for my grandson to hunt with and he loves it. We had to replace the scope and rings so we replaced it with a BSA and some Leapers rings and used a drup compensator, so far a good choice. We shot a 500 tin of Premire HP pellets thru it and then went to some H&N Baracuda Match 10.65 grain pellets and now this gun never miss's.. The Trigger is OK once you get it dialed in and the stock on this gun is a beautiful piece of wood, its actually nicer than the stock on my Hatsan other than it has no checkering. I mounted a good sling on this gun because with the scope it is heavy, only a few ounces lighter than my Hatsan..

    Things I would have changed:

    The Scope and rings

    What others should know:

We had to take the gun out of the stock and tighten every bolt and screw and use blue threadlocker and let it set 24 hrs. No problems since we did that..

    Things I liked:

It's pretty cheap, and it hits just about anything I put in front of it. When I first bought it, it wen through roughly 3 bean cans in a row, before stopping... Incredible power. The safety is easy, and comfortable to switch on/off.

    Things I would have changed:

Wooden stalk to plastic, or a better wood... Like oak, or locust. The scope was decent, but could be better. The recoil/stun is a little strong, but the noise it gives off is pretty loud... Sounds like a little buzz, or something.

    What others should know:

Pretty loud, and I wish it had a hard plastic stalk. The stalk completely cracked, and is now ruined. One of the screws broke of on the end of the stalk as well. Also, the seals go bad in like a year... I've owned mine for 2+ years, and it's really gotten weak... Like to the point where a daisy is more powerful. DON'T LEAVE IT SIT COCKED! I leave it sit cocked for days, and it got ruined beyond repair I'm afraid :(

    What others should know:

I always research a lot before buying an airgun, I always check (Airgunweb.com by Rick Eutsler and myairgunreviews.com those guys are great providing information about the gun) keep up the good work coz guys like me are counting on you, thanks a lot.

Very accurate easy to cock, just really like it, also own a Yukon, and tried out an air magnum. I use this rifle (.177) for backyard squirrels, the air magnum was just too much for me, the Yukon (.22) is Also a great rifle,my son took it.

    Things I would have changed:

Throw out the scope, not that good and if you like a scope you will probably replace it

    What others should know:

Titelok the screws, tighten them as suggested by many online. How you hold it effects its accuracy.

Great gun! I was nervous buying this gun because I have been using my Crosman 3100 for about 20yrs. I am very pleased with everything including the wood, trigger, and power. once sited in, I had no problem taking down small pest. first 2 shots at pets gave me two kills! I would recommend this gun to anyone!

    Things I would have changed:

I would recommend to the mfg to but a guard around the front site, but no problems so far.

    What others should know:

I shot 8 styles of pellets, the best are the Beeman's silver stings and 2nd is the Crosman destroyers.

More of an update than a review. I've had this gun for a while now and haven't really put it to use until this year. So far it has taken 2 squirrels in 2 days. One managed to drop after running 8 feet the one today dropped where he was. Now I got a good dinner tonight.

    Things I would have changed:

I have to put a new tru-glo fiber in the front sight but it still works well without it.

    What others should know:

If you need a good squirrel gun this is a pretty good one. It has the power to do the job humanely.
