Hawke Sport Optics has built a very trusted reputation in England and Australia, where their scopes are used for everything from shooting field target with 12 ft-lb. rifles, dispatching pests with your magnum springer or shooting large game with firearms. Their scopes are second to none in quality, clarity, sharpness and easy of use. No matter what type of rifle you use with the Panorama EV scope, you'll get perfect performance every time.

This Hawke Sport Optics scope has an etched-glass reticle, which is superior to a wire reticle because it's etched by a laser and is much more precise. That lets you get even more accuracy from your gun. Another way that etched-glass reticles are superior to wire reticles is when they're illuminated. The etched ones show the illumination only on the reticle. It looks like the reticle is floating. Wire reticles often have a reflection of the illumination in the objective lens, which can be distracting when shooting.

Things I liked:

Very clear and crisp optics. Nice fit and finish. Very solid build. Adjustments are accessible and are reasonably changeable, without too much effort.

Things I would have changed:

The front parallax adjustment on the objective front lens requires a little bit more effort than I prefer. Pyramyd Air mounted this scope with the BKL rings on a RWS 350 Magnum P. After 500 rounds, the Phillips screws on the windage and elevation adjustment turrets came loose. I tightened them. Maybe Hawke can look into this.

What others should know:

Read the manual first before adjusting and /or sighting in this scope. Because of the forces experienced from magnum spring air rifles, I carry a small screw driver set to the range to tighten the turret set screws occasionally. I would carry a small Phillips screw driver. I used a PH000 size screw driver. In general, I carry a small tool kit to the range. As a note, after 500 rounds, the BKL rings came loose and the scope almost slid off the 11mm dovetail on the rifle. I recommend carrying the allen wrench that comes with the BKL rings.

Things I liked:

MAP6 reticle, adjustable objective. Perfect scope for a spring gun. Has all the adjustments you'll ever need.

Things I would have changed:

Nothing. Scope isn't cheap, but good optics are worth every penny.

What others should know:

Illuminated reticle is hard to see unless you're indoors. This scope has a MAP6 reticle, not a mil-dot reticle. I prefer the MAP6. I put this scope on an RWS 34 with a UTG Drooper mount and Hawke 1" low profile weaver rings. Worked like a charm.
