Quality is evident in other places, too: a two-stage adjustable TO6 trigger, a completely adjustable rear sight and a finely rifled barrel.
No need to worry about cocking difficulty, as that's where this rifle really shines (just 33 lbs., although our own tests showed 30 lbs.). It's ideal for hunting small rodents, plinking, target shooting and popping cans. If you're a serious airgunner on a budget, the Diana 34 was made for you!

Finally after reading so many reviews my rifle came in about a week ago. Purchased a Diana 34 Striker combo with Mantis scope, 3x9 - 40. You can watch a million videos and read a million reviews but until you can hold her in your hands you really don't know. I am an american living in Mexico so i had to go thru the only dealer for P.A. to get the rifle. I ordered the 20 shots for $20 dollars as an insurance against obvious defect or malfunction. Worth the extra 20 bucks. Scope came mounted and i also received the rifle and scope and all paperwork inside a Flambeau double rifle case. Unfortunately, it was shipped like this so i dont have the original box. The rifle is pretty accurate so far, a few fliers here and there. It likes the Crosman 14.3 grain domed or hollow points. My scope is a little off, i am shooting at my first mil dot under the reticle crosshairs. Maybe some shaking during the whole fedex shipping ordeal. Will zero her in this weekend. Beautiful rifle !!
Things I would have changed:Its a little on the heavy side and its a little hard to cock.
What others should know:This is not a toy, not recommended for young shooters. Long, heavy and hard to cock.

Buying the RWS model 34 in a 22 caliber. Just wondering if I need to also purchase sling swivels for ability to put on a sling.
The wood stock is too thin in the forearm to support a sling swivel. The only sling we have that will fit is Gamo Gun Buddy Rifle Sling,... . The Gamo gun buddy sling.
is the scope good?
I'm a newb to air guns and this is my first. That said, I think this scope is pretty decent. Once I got it sighted in I was able to hit my target accurately from 10 to 50 yds, which is as far as I went. Optically clear, plenty of adjustability, etc.

While I cannot speak for the performance or accuracy of the rifle (simply because I have not had a chance to shoot with it yet), I do believe that the reputation of the Diana RWS 34 speaks for itself. From the unboxing, I can tell this is a high quality, German made classic pellet rifle - flawless! I can say that my experience with Pyramyd Air was top shelf the through the entire process. Presale customer service was superb, packaging was perfect and delivery was very quick - much faster than I expected! I would highly recommend Pyramyd Air to anyone.
