The flats on the end of the springs are well finished with no rough or sharp edges.

What Others Should KnowI ordered two Bronco springs, one as a spare for my Bronco and one for experiments with my Crosman 1000X. I substituted the Bronco spring for the stock spring in my Crosman because I wanted less recoil and torque. My interest is accurate off-hand shooting, not velocity. To further lighten the spring I shortened it so that with a new polished flat on the cut end it had an overall length of nine inches. The spring as shortened can be installed with only thumb pressure on the breech plug (tube cover). I am very pleased with the results; both recoil and torque are considerably reduced.
