Things I liked:The double screws on the ring caps are good.
Things I would have changed:The extruded rails do not fit the sharply machined rails of my Weihrauch HW90 .22. The 0.160" hollow roll pin recoil stop is totally inadequate for a hard recoiling spring gun. I degreased everything and installed this tightly with the recoil stop pin firmly against the rear of one of the recoil stop holes. Within 25 shots the mount began walking back. I removed it to find that the pin had sheared in half! I drilled the hole out and installed and Locktighted a 1/4-20 set screw with the bottom dressed flat and this perfectly fits the Weihrauch recoil stop holes. Seems to be holding now but stay tuned. I can't recommend this mount, especially considering it's cost. It's made by Sportsmatch and resold by Beeman.
What others should know:When I bought my first Beeman airgun 25 years ago you could depend on anything that carried the Beeman name as being top quality. Now, like many companies that have sold out to holding companies run by beancounters, many of their products are sold solely to maximize profit rather than provide the best solution possible. Hawke sells an almost identical mount with a threaded recoil stop pin for a quarter of the cost of the Beeman or Sportsmatch version. It's still inadequate as the pin is too small in diameter and the nose is tapered, but's it's a better value than this Beeman mount. If someone made a one piece mount with machined rails and an adequate recoil arrestor pin I would buy it regardless of cost.
Things I liked:Well made works awsome
Things I would have changed:Nothing,Good stuff cost good money
What others should know:I'd rather have a cheaper scope mounted well. Then have a nice scope mounted cheaply.
Things I liked:This is a great mount. Specifically for high velocity air guns with a center vertical post that keeps the mount from slicing back after many shots. Make sure your rail has a hole for this vertical post.
Things I would have changed:Nothing
What others should know:Make sure your scope is also air gun qualified. Air gun scopes take a bigger beating than regular rifle scopes due to the momentum of the spring. They can 'Drift" in accuracy.
