Things I liked:Nice size target for 10m. Cool little targets. What others should know:You can't just stick a new target on top of another. The don't stick to each other very well. Things I liked:Great value. Great visibility. Increases shooting fun-factor. Things I would have changed:Nothing. What others should know:High Value Tip: Stick these onto targets that go into the pellet trap "Gamo Cone Pellet Trap, Collapsible, 100 Paper Targets" for the perfect, cheap, target set up!! Comments
Edith, I went out an bought some ballistic putty (electrical duct seal) and tried it out. It is superior to plumber's putty, etc. I posted a picture under the Gamo Cone Trap item description.
That is very helpful information. Thanks, Edith!-Dave
David--The problem with plumber's putty, Silly Putty & Play Doh is that they all eventually dry out. Ballistic putty will never dry out, plus it accepts a higher velocity. When the other putties dry out, they crumble and will fall out of the trap onto the floor. They'll make a mess and are open invitations to the mouths of children & pets. If you walk on the dried out putty, it'll work its way into the fiber of any carpeting. Plus, the ammo you shot into it the dried-out putty will also fall out of the trap with the dry putty. The fact that you can use it only with sub-600 fps guns is kind of restrictive. There are a number of traps that don't require putty that work quite nicely with these low-velocity guns. Ballistic putty is the filler of choice for traps. It's the No. 1 reason we select it instead of plumber's putty.
Edith, plumber's putty works fine with 600fps air guns. I know it is not as dense, but hey, even PlayDo does the trick with my Bronco. Thanks for the comment.
David--Plumber's putty is not the correct item. You need ballistic putty, which is also called duct seal. Pyramyd Air also sells it...search for PY-A-2991 to locate it on this site.
Also add a handful of plumber's putty ($2 at the local hardware store) to the interior the Gamo pellet trap to make it quiet and prevent pellet ricochet. Show Other ReviewsCreate an online review and share your thoughts with other customers
