Things I liked: Works fine with .177 pellets. No complaints for these guns.

Things I would have changed: I would not recommend for .22 or larger guns as ricochet has been a problem. Too bad a trap can't be designed to be quieter. It is as loud as the gun itself.

Things I liked: Good trap for the money!

Things I would have changed: Add a clip for holding the target - you have to make your own out of a paper clip.

What others should know: Needs assembly, though it's pretty easy to put together - shouldn't be used at a distance <10 meters.

Maybe a stupid question but would .177 BBs work as well?

What trap for indoor shooting of the Umarex P08 gun shooting steel BB's?

Will this handle the output from a .22 Umarex Octane?

      • Ruth from Canada:

This trap is designed to work best with up to .177 pellets. So, no, I would not recommend this trap for the hard hitting .22 Octane.

One of the customer reviews says he would not recommend it for .22 cal airguns because the pellets will ricochet.

      • Ashley from USA:

        A .177 would be recommended.

I doubt it. I would use Champion Heavy Duty Metal Trap... instead.

      • Jerry from USA:

I wouldn't recommend it for the Octane. Look at Champion Heavy Duty Metal Trap...
