Things I would have changed:Make the trapdoor easier to open because I have to bring pocket knifes to the field with my to reload these mags after each round. You should also purchase 4 or 5 mags over time for the gun so you will not put too much stress on the mag if you only have 2 because eventually the spring will have deterioration and become flimsy and cause feeding issues. But this will only happen over probably a three or four year period. What others should know:THIS IS ONLY COMPATIBLE FOR THE AEG VERSION OF THE FAMAS!! THIS ALSO GOES FOR THE AEG USERS DO NOT BUY THE SPRING POWERED MAG BECAUSE IT WILL NOT FIT! Sorry for the caps, but please make sure you have the right type of mag before you purchase it. The spring and aeg mags will not fit in the others mag-well.
Things I would have changed:The magazine opening, as I said it can be tough to open. My son uses a small screwdriver to open since he busted a fingernail on it. What others should know:The company seems to have a quality control issue with these particular items. The last two magazines I have bought were defective. The wheel would wind up a little ways and then go taut, like it was done winding. When you put the magazine into the weapon - it would not feed. The first magazine return was a hassle with the company we bought it from, that is why this last time I decided to buy from PyramidAir. When the mag arrived we tried it out. Same problem with the winding mechanism, but this time the replacement went smoothly. I called PA's customer service and they gave me an RA # immediately along with a shipping label and I sent it in for an exchange. Hassle-free. Thats what keeps me as a customer.
Things I would have changed:Its all good What others should know:the assembly comes aprt easy to clear jams or cleaning.
