Does not come with sights or a refill clamp. If you plan to put a scope on your gun, you won't need the open sights. The refill clamp is needed if you're going to fill your gun's air reservoir with a scuba tank.

Have a look at our suggestions in the AMMO link below. Click the ACCESSORIES link to find scopes, targets, pumps and other nifty gear for your rifle.

Helpful resources:

AirForce has kicked it up a notch with their new baffle system, which makes the Condor SS quieter.

The AirForce Condor delivers from 600 fps to a rip-snorting 1300 fps (in .177), and it's recoilless! Accurate (1" at 50 yards) and powerful, this PCP offers extreme flexibility. It has an 18" Lothar Walther barrel (1:16 twist). You can also buy 12" and 24" barrels. Change-outs are easy and don't require any special tools, but the gun will be unsilenced. Built in the USA.

NOTE: The .20 cal. pellets are slightly longer than the .22 cal. pellets of the same weight. Therefore, they drag in the barrel a little more and produce lower velocities. The quoted figures (showing the .20 cal. gun shooting slower than the .22 cal. gun) are actual test figures and are correct.

Carrying an extra filled tank when shooting in the field is a lot easier than carrying a scuba or carbon fiber tank for refills.

There are lots of ways to configure this gun, including rail-mounted accessories. You can choose the scope, laser, flashlight, night vision equipment, extra tanks, quick-detach fiber-optic sights and attachments for the type of refilling unit you plan to use. If you replace the barrel with a longer one, the gun will not be silenced.

The .177-caliber Condor SS has a special tank valve spring. If you plan to attach other caliber barrels to your gun, you may want to buy a tank made for the other calibers (.20, ,22 & .25 calibers use the same tank). If you use the .177-calIber tank with the other smallbore calibers, you'll experience a drop of 50-100 fps in those calibers. However, if you buy the .20, .22 or .25 caliber but plan to also attach a .177-caliber barrel, you must buy a .177-caliber air tank. If you don't, the tank valve spring will not close fast enough, and all your air will be dumped.

Things I liked:

I was in love with this rifle when I first got it. Sexy and powerful and accurate. The breakup was messy....

Things I would have changed:

This rifle spent almost an entire year at AirForce repairs. Five separate occasions: two for trigger repair and three for accuracy issues. The shortest wait time was three weeks, but more typical it was three months, and once, four months. The accuracy issues all involved the valve, but never once did they simply swap it out and send it back, but insisted on rebuilding and testing it for many months. They'd ship it back to me and it never worked properly, so we'd go through the whole shebang again. Finally sold the rifle as "non-working" at half price. Roundly defeated by AirForce.

What others should know:

If you're experiencing hard-to-pin-down accuracy issues, such as shooting well sometimes and badly at others, and it's not from a dirty barrel or bad pellets, it's very likely a bad valve. I don't know why, but the chronograph will not pick up the problem. My rifle shot erratically while on the chrony it looked stellar, like 2.5 standard deviation. When this rifle grouped well, tuning was not much of an issue--on the few occasions when it worked, it worked easily and well, but I think the overall design is trouble prone. You can see for yourself what looks like a bad valve in action at the AEAC youtube review of the condor ss (while he is perplexed by the poor accuracy he does not suspect a bad valve, though it looks that way to me based on my experience).

  • Reynaldo from USA asked:

With the Condor SS 18" barrel, if I want to get higher fps, can I just remove the suppressors inside the shroud and leave the shroud open (not returning the end cap of the shroud). Won't this affect the accuracy? Thank you.

    • Tyler Patner from USA answered:

Removing the baffles would not change the velocity with any significance. If you can't get more out of the gun via the hammer spring adjustment then you'd have to go to a longer barrel.

  • John from USA asked:

Condor SS and Talon both have 18" barrels which respectively rate 22 Cal at 1100 & 950 fps, one must be wrong? If not what accounts for the difference?

    • Ben from USA answered:

Actuallthe talon only has a 12 inch barrel, always has...

    • Tyler Patner from USA answered:

They use different valves. The Condor SS valve has a higher flow than the Talon valve, which is where the velocity difference comes from.

  • Bryce from USA asked:

Noise level, medium to high. The sound loc does not sound as if it is very effective?

    • oats from USA answered:

Coupled with an after market moderator like my Talon-P has it is possible to improve on the noise level stats . Quiets the bark effectively , but still not silent , backyard friendly though and is compatible with sound-loc .
