    The AirForce Talon SS on CO2 delivers up to 700 fps (in .177). This air rifle offers extreme flexibility along with continued great accuracy (1" at 50 yards...or better!). The power wheel, although intended for use with the gun on high-pressure air, still has a slight amount of adjustability running on CO2. Since the rifle has NO recoil, you can comfortably shoot all day long without the fatigue and pain associated with spring-piston rifles.

    From its Lothar Walther barrel (1:16 twist) to its removable tank, the Talon SS is the standard for state-of-the-art manufacturing of air rifles. Made of space-age polymers and aircraft-grade aluminum, it's lightweight and equipped with a durable finish. The tank does double-duty as the butt of the gun, contributing to its light weight and convenience.

    Not sure which caliber to get? Get all of them! Extra barrels are available, and change-outs are quick and easy and don't require any special tools.

    The Talon SS is the same basic rifle as the Talon, but an integral suppressor and a 12" barrel are standard.

    If you want to also shoot your Talon SS on air, you'll need to order an AirForce air tank and a way to fill the tank (scuba tank, handpump or electric pump). All items are listed in the ACCESSORIES links.

    .177 cal delivers 11.43 ft-lbs or 15.49 joules
    .22 cal delivers 11.82 ft-lbs or 16.02 joules

    There are lots of ways to configure this gun, including rail-mounted accessories (coin-slot screws for each changeout). You can choose the scope, laser, flashlight, night vision equipment, extra tanks and quick-detach fiber-optic sights. If you replace the barrel with a longer one, the gun will not be silenced.

    Things I liked:I've been on the edge of PCPs and the CO2 conversion made the switch very easy to enter the AirForce world. Paintball tanks in either 12 or 20 work fine and the the accuracy and power are great for distances under 50 yards. I have a Leapers Bug Buster scope with the offset rings on top of the accessory rail and it has become my favorite air rifle. The trigger is fantastic and just a few steps below my IZZY match pistol allowing you to concentrate on the shot and not the creep. Pyramid took care of business in a top shelf way as usual and I will move into the high pressure air next. This rifle has no issues with pellet feeds and the loading is a breeze. I like the fact that I do not have problems loading JSB Predators or similar rounds.
    Things I would have changed:Would like to see someone like Hogue make a tactical grip for this like they do for the AR-15 also a tactical flashlight ring for the bottom rail.
    What others should know:If you are shooting in an urban setting as in a backyard or basement, the CO2 is the joint for NOT getting a call from your local authorities. DO NOT go outside in the ally or the street with this rifle. It is one badass looking piece and no one will believe you are not a sniper without some serious questions being asked. I use mine for target practice and urban rats when they decide to come around.

    Things I liked:Whats not to like. It came neatly packed in heavy grade foam. Everything arrived undamaged. The DVD was very helpful. Dissassembly and reassebly for cleaning is quick and easy. With the CO 2 power this thing is deadly out to about 25 yards with groupings of an inch shooting in the prone unsupported. Supported shooting is as Tom puts it wedding ring groups. Its capable of penitration on a steel coffee can at 50 yrds, groupings are about the size of a silver dollar. Trigger pull is light and crisp. Recoil is very little, its more like a gentle thump I dont even notice it any more. Highly modifiable, I have more stuff hanging off this thing than I did my M-16 while I was deployed. Flashlight, laser, scope, and a bipod. Im still trying to figure out how to mount a laser range finder to it.
    Things I would have changed:Maybe the barrel lugs could be drilled out to allow for the escaping air to have a little more space to travel making it more quiet. Or maybe lengthing the frame a little more, to accomadate the 18 inch barrel of the Talon and maintain suppression.
    What others should know:I highly recommend the 12 oz tank. I bought mine with the 20 and its kinda tough to get proper sight alignment. Ive run close to 1000 rounds through the 12 oz tank and its not showing any signs of needing a refill. Get adjustable elevation intermount. I havent yet thats next. Right now my elevation screw on my scope is topped out. So to hit targets out to 50 yards I have to use the 1st mil dot on the scope depending on the weight of the pellet. Speaking of pellets. Ive shot only Beeman brand pellets out of this gun from 13 grains up to 18 grains. It really likes pellets in the 13-16 grain weights. Anything heavier on CO 2 power for long shots your just going to get frustrated. Oh one last thing. Once you get it sighted in and find the weight of pellets your gun likes (on CO 2) buy lots of them. I killed to tins (400 rounds) in less than an after noon.

    Things I liked:This thing is a blast. Good power (co2) unbelieveable accuracy ( I am old) a tank of co2 last forever. Really quiet, the noise you hear is the hammer strike. You can shoot this all day and not have a sore arm from cocking or recoil. Pyramid Air was great in every way.
    Things I would have changed:The 20 oz, tank is large and makes it uncomfortable to get your eye low enough to look through the scope. Get the 12 oz. cylinder it really helps.
    What others should know:You should have a lot of time on your hands for shooting because this is so much fun and so little effort. you will not want to put it down.
