A favorite among competitive shooters and sportsmen! Whether you're looking for power, accuracy, or excellent fit and finish, the TX200 MkIII has it. It's ideal for anything from competing in local field target matches to hunting.

The TX200 Mk III features a Lothar Walther barrel and a richly finished Monte Carlo stock with a raised cheekpiece and deep, flawless bluing. In addition to the superior fit and finish, the TX200 Mk III features a two-stage trigger and an automatic safety. Loading is via a sliding breech, which is revealed when you cock the underlever. You have to mount a scope since it doesn't come with open sights.

It shoots at 930 fps in .177 and 755 fps in .22. Air Arms products, including the TX200, are known for accuracy in all calibers. Use the guns for hunting (.22 recommended) or field target (.177 only). You don't have to stop there! It's great for plinking, shooting spinners, killing tin cans or popping paper targets. Enjoy the relatively quiet report and moderate recoil from a gun that has a long heritage of accuracy.

Things I liked:Accurate, accurate, accurate.... Great trigger. Nice to look at.
Things I would have changed:Too heavy. Every time I pick it up, I am reminded how out of shape I am.
What others should know:I had the gun for about 2 weeks when it stopped working (broke). I returned it. I was told I would receive a new gun, but they repaired the gun instead. Got it back pretty quickly. So far, it is shooting very nicely. I just wanted to say the customer service @ PA is outstanding, not perfect, but pretty close...

Things I liked:I love the rigid barrel (SUPER accurate!), EXCELLENT (and adjustable) trigger right out of the box, perfect balance, gorgeous wood (I went with beech), easy cocking underlever. Spacious access to the breech for loading, and a digit-saving anti-beartrap mechanism. Super easy disassembly for maintenance. QUIET! Not sensitive to hold. My new TX200 MkIII has a proud place in my gun safe, along with my firearms. And I should add, this is by far the most beautiful of anything in my safe.
Things I would have changed:Offer iron sights (obviously it wasn't a deal-breaker for me). Yeah, I know a scope is best for accuracy, especially at long distances. Still, iron sights are nice, too. Beyond that, this rifle is as perfect as it gets.
What others should know:This is my first experience with Air Arms, and I have to say, I'm a convert! They sure know how to make a fine rifle. This thing is like a fine English firearm, only without the fire. And though some may not appreciate this detail- I do- Air Arms packs this in a nearly bombproof box, and the rifle is firmly cradled to protect it. They pay attention not only to the quality, fit and finish of their air guns, but they also understand that getting it to the customer in perfect condition is also extremely important. Well done, Air Arms! THIS is the air rifle for me. It took me a long time to finally find the right one- and it's available in .22 caliber, too! Just what I was looking for. If my wife would allow it, I'd take it to bed at night so I could reach over and touch it while sleeping. Okay, so that may be a bit of an exaggeration, but not by much. Get one- you will understand.

Things I liked:This is a really good air rifle. I researched the market before making my purchase. The only experience I had with air rifles prior to this purchase was a Sheridan Solver Streak. I was concerned about barrel droop with the break barrels so I decided on the under lever TX200. The fit and finish on this rifle are superb. Accuracy is outstanding. The trigger is pretty sweet too. This rifle is worth the money.
Things I would have changed:The pellet loading port is a little undersize for my fingers. It works but it is a little tight.
What others should know:Once you release the safety, the shooter can not reapply the safety. If the game animal moves off, the shooter has a rifle that is ready to fire. Presumably one could cycle the under lever to reapply the automatic safety but I have not tried that technique to determine whether it would reapply the safety.

    • R.B. from USA asked:

The rubber bumper on the bottom of the barrel broke off. There is still a little bump but the dimple itself came off. I put a rubber "O" ring on the cocking lever to help cushion the lever when I cock the gun. Is this something I need to send back to get repaired or can I let it go as is?

      • R.B. from USA asked:

Once again my thanks to Dan the Man. The more I shoot this rifle, the better I like it. The groups keep getting smaller. The advertised muzzle velocity in .22 is 750 F.P.S. I took my rifle to the range the other day. There was a fellow there with a chronograph. Muzzle velocity range from 657 F.P.S. to 686 F.P.S. I'm shooting Beeman Field Target Special 14.66 grain pellets. I've got under 200 pellets through the rifle. Will the muzzle velocity increase or is my pellet heavier than the factory uses to measure muzzle velocity?

        • R.B. from USA:

Thanks to Dan & Tyler. I sent an email to Air Arms inquiring about the pellet weight. Their response follows: "The technical department have advised that we set up on AA field 15.9 g".

        • Dan the Man from USA:

It might increase a slight bit, but the speed should stabilize more over time. Your accuracy will also increase the more you shoot it.

        • Tyler from USA:

It may be slightly heavier but that difference is not something to be concerned about. Your velocities seem to be right on for the FTS pellets. If I had to venture a guess, they use a JSB 13 grain exact RS.

      • R.B. from USA asked:

My thanks to Dan the man for answering my previous question. Is there a way to apply the safety to this rifle after it has been released? This morning I removed the safety to shoot a squirrel. He heard the click and ran off. I noticed the safety will not engage once it has been disengaged. I thought about pulling the cocking lever but was concerned that I may disrupt the timing if I pulled the cocking lever without having the spring tension against it.

        • Dan the Man from USA:

No problem. As far as the safety, I wouldn't mess with it. Besides, I've heard if you leave a spring piston airgun cocked for more than 10 minutes, you'll damage it.
