Based on the flagship of the Ataman line, the Type 4 has Lothar Walther barrels, match grade triggers and internal regulators that made the M2R pellet rifle a prize among airgunners. The Type 4’s carbine size means it’s easy to maneuver, but its 9.92lb body has the heft you want in a hunting air rifle. The M2R’s 300 BAR (4350 psi) fill pressure is internally regulated for the most mileage possible from your powerplant. Set the adjustable 2-stage trigger to your pull preference for clean breaks.
This M2R variant features an all-weather synthetic stock with an ergonomic pistol grip and soft touch finish. Atop the stock rests the Picatinny/Weaver rail for mounting the high-powered scope this rifle deserves. For storage, the carbine’s adjustable stock can fold sideways to fit in a compact carry case.

Accurate quick 7shot bolt action with nice clip

Quality craftsmanship throughout. Soft touch synthetic stock. Smooth side lever cocking. Feels lighter than specs say and is well balanced at the shoulder. Power and accuracy fantastic! And the match grade trigger out of the box is perfect. A 32 shot string over the crony with AA25.4 pellets had a low of 1067 fps and high of 1098. That avg was 1080 fps. Equates to 66 ft lbs. As far as accuracy for all my hunting air rifles is the ability to shoot the cap off a 5 hr energy shot bottle from 30 yrds. This rifle does it every time with its Lothar Walther barrel. One squirrel has already made the mistake of remaining in the cross hairs of the Discovery scope I mounted.
Things I would have changed:One minor quibble....there is no rotating dust cover or plug for the fill port.
What others should know:This rifle is the best quality PCP out of the 6 I own. PA price of $1099.99 on sale is a fantastic value competing against the FX and Daystate brands. I'm completely satisfied with this purchase. Joseph in Akron, Ohio

I see that the max fill psi is at 310 bar, but what is the internal regulator set at?
I would like to know what ALL ammo the 9mm version will shoot. I'm not asking what you RECOMMEND... I want to know what all ammunition has been tried in these rifles because I'm not buying a rifle that can only shoot one particular pellet. One wishes to have versatility when they think of investing in what will certainly run into the thousands of dollars easily. So, all I want to know is what ammo, every brand and type, is this gun capable of shooting? If it can only shoot ONE brand, say JSB, then I think potential buyers should know that before hand.
every gun is different, in 35 cal you know that there is only 3 pellet choices, from the videos I've seen on the 35 they shot the polymags the best,areo magnum shot good...but if your in your feelings about this gun I'm sure you feel the same way about all airguns..what's the difference? u don't know..or don't buy 1 at all
we do not test ammo for fit. That is your option as a shooter. Larger slugs will not fit in the magazine . they can be single loaded.
The piece on the end of the shroud functions to tension the floating barrel. Is there a factory silencer available to replace this componet on the 9mm version

Very quiet and no recoil whatsoever.
Things I would have changed:Magazine setup is lousy. First time I fired the rifle I had continuous trouble. Never could get the magazine to index properly. I have a Gamo Swarm Maxxim and a Hatsan AT44-10 and have no trouble with the magazine operation.
What others should know:I would not recommend this rifle because of the magazine setup. Couldn't really concentrate on accuracy because of magazine problems.
