Weihrauch makes some of the finest spring-piston rifles available today. The HW97K is the offspring of the HW77K, and both air guns continue to be a favorite of field target shooters. The HW97K has fine lines and is beautifully executed. While the German manufacturer is known for it's wonderful wood stocks, they went all out when designing and making this synthetic stock. The thumbhole configuration is becoming more and more desirable with shooters. Plus, this gun is totally ambidextrous, having raised cheekpieces on both sides of the buttstock. The stock is capped off with a rubber recoil pad.

You'll never be disappointed after buying a Weihrauch gun if you value remarkable accuracy, repeatable/reliable power, decades of dependable performance, one of the finest sporting triggers ever made and flawless finishing. These are the qualities that make an air gun desirable and the reason Weihrauch guns have been a favorite worldwide.

Each Weihrauch air rifle is shot before it leaves the factory. It's just one more way to ensure the highest level of quality control.

Things I liked:This is one gorgeous package! Short, smooth cocking stroke. Great Rekord trigger that needed no adjustment from the factory. Nice bluing and quality, durable synthetic stock that's really comfortable to hold. Easy pellet loading with left or right hand due to the full cut of the loading port. Button release for the cocking arm is very secure. Hefty weight that helps the accuracy. Fairly quiet for the power.
Things I would have changed:A softer butt pad would be nice but nothing else. A bit lower price considering the standard beech wood version is just $30 more.
What others should know:The rifle has a bit of spring twang when new, but far, far less than a new R9. I have only 300 shots through it so I'm hoping the twang will disappear like the R9 after broken in. Very accurate after just 30 shots, and very easy to shoot. Mine is .177 and I will probably get a wood stocked .22 at a later time! This rifle is my current favorite!

Things I liked:consistently accurate. Not as hold sensitive as some other lever cock guns, quite forgiving
Things I would have changed:Be mindful of scope length with regard to covering the breech opening. Can make it a bit awkward to load pellet. This gun as with many lever guns is pretty heavy, which is ok if you are shooting from a brace or rest, but pretty heavy for offhand shooting. wish you would offer a front sling tube adapter, as a sling makes it a better hunter.
What others should know:Overall I love the gun and would recommend it, and I do enjoy shooting it. but it is a bit pricy.

Things I liked:This gun is excellent. Very easy to shoot, and it likes many brands of pellets. Quality and accuracy are very very good. Worth the money if you want a great shooter. This is my first spring gun and I found it very easy to shoot. Just relax your grip and do everything the same on the next shot.
Things I would have changed:The weight with out losing quality.
What others should know:This is a very well built gun. You will be happy with your purchase.

  • Dan from USA asked:

Does this rifle have a spring twang when new like the Beeman R9?

    • Mario from USA asked:

How does this rate as far as quietness ? This is important to me .

      • Erika from USA:

Middle of the road. There are louder guns out there, so it's not going to sound like you are shooting a firearm.
