The HW97K is related to one of the first - and finest - underlever field target rifles ever made. Coming from the famed plant in Germany, it's proving to be just as accurate. Even if you're not a field target enthusiast, you'll enjoy shooting this rifle! It's great for metallic silhouettes, plinking, shooting spinners and paper targets, and accurate enough to do some serious hunting. If you're hunting game and eliminating pests, .20 or .22 caliber should be your choice.

The quality of the polishing and bluing on the steel action, barrel and underlever exceeds what you'd normally find on comparably priced firearms. The Monte Carlo stock has a raised cheekpiece, and the beech stock has hand-cut checkering on the pistol grip. The stock is capped with a soft rubber recoil pad to give you ultimate control.

Includes 1" scope rings, medium profile, vertical scope stop in one ring, 2 screws per base & 4 screws per ring cap.

The gold Rekord trigger, which is praised by shooters and admired by competitors, adjusts to your needs. The 11mm grooves in the receiver make it easy to mount a scope (it does not come with open sights). If you like the simplicity and ease of shooting a spring-piston gun, then give the HW97K serious consideration.

Things I liked:It's a Weihrauch, what else can I say? Excellent build quality. Awesome accuracy. Nice fit for my build. Mine is shooting JSB exact 8.44 grns. @ 860 fps. Still breaking it in after about 700 shots and still getting smoother!
    Things I would have changed:Nothing
What others should know:The gun is a bit heavy but does not bother me. I like the quality. Mine is most accurate with H&N Field Target Trophy so far, (.177) I have a Hawke Sidewinder 3-12x50 and very nice match for this gun. Expensive but worth every penny.

    • Peter from USA asked:

What is the best weight of pellet for a HW97 in .177 caliber? Thank you ! Pete

      • Tyler from USA:

I would recommend staying around 8-9 grains. Some do shoot well with the heavier stuff like the 10.3 grain JSB or 10.65 H&N baracuda.

does the 97K have an anti-bear trap device or not?
