The HW97K is related to one of the first - and finest - underlever field target rifles ever made. Coming from the famed plant in Germany, it's proving to be just as accurate. Even if you're not a field target enthusiast, you'll enjoy shooting this rifle! It's great for metallic silhouettes, plinking, shooting spinners and paper targets, and accurate enough to do some serious hunting. If you're hunting game and eliminating pests, .20 or .22 caliber should be your choice.

The quality of the polishing and bluing on the steel action, barrel and underlever exceeds what you'd normally find on comparably priced firearms. The Monte Carlo stock has a raised cheekpiece, and the ambidextrous beech stock has hand-cut checkering on the pistol grip. The stock is capped with a soft rubber recoil pad to give you ultimate control.

Includes 1" scope rings, medium profile, vertical scope stop in one ring, 2 screws per base & 4 screws per ring cap.

The gold Rekord trigger, which is praised by shooters and admired by competitors, adjusts to your needs. The 11mm grooves in the receiver make it easy to mount a scope (it does not come with open sights). If you like the simplicity and ease of shooting a spring-piston gun, then give the HW97K serious consideration.

Things I liked: Beautiful gun, great blueing, great stock, great trigger, very accurate, easy loading with wide loading port, and push button on cocking lever, snaps in when closed and push to open, and does'nt have locking bear trap like other leaver guns, just cock and shoot no holding in button while closing lever.

Things I would have changed: Nothing much, the only thing I have had trouble with is the screws keep vibrating loose and throwing off accuracy, have took them out and put blue locktight on them twice now. Hopefully when the gun gets broke in good that will end.

What others should know: I checked around a few places before I purchased this rifle and very few have been returned if any. And I'm very satisfied with it.It shoots most pellets well but what mine likes are the Benjamin Destroyers 22 cal.It shoot them very well, it all so likes FTS, and Barracuda Hunter Extremes. Any way you can't go wrong getting one these great rifles.

Things I liked: This is a very accurate and nicely finished air rifle. The workmanship is typical German, great in every way. Shoots almost any pellet tried. I mostly use for targets at 10 meters. I am shooting H&N match and match finale. I can not tell at this time much difference in either pellet. Groups are ranging from .156 to .190 ctc.

Things I would have changed: Nothing

What others should know: This rifle is one of those must have to add to a collection of accurate well built rifles.

Things I liked: Awesome rifle out of the box, love it, originally had purchased the BLUE, but got it and had some imperfections on the stock, so decided to get this one instead. Love this finish, actually way better than the Blue, this is more traditional, classic, extremely glad it turned out I ended up with this one, you will not regret it. The trigger is super light, like butter. I shot 2 pellets the first time, JSB Diabolo Exact Jumbo .22 Cal, 15.89 Grains Domed, and the H&N Field Target Trophy .22 Cal, 14.66 Grains, Round Nose. the rifle loves the H&N much better. The rifle has not been broken in yet, actually shot it only one session, consistently shooting quarter size groups one after the other at 25 yards. Many many shots inside one another. Mounted a Leupold Mark AR MOD 1 4-12x40mm P5, Mil Dot. The rifle is heavy, almost 10lbs all together. The craftsmanship is second to none, beautiful gun to pass on to other generations. Also used a Caldwell Dead Shot Shooting Bag I got on ebay for $20.

Things I would have changed: Would love to make the rifle a lot lighter, but if it had to sacrifice the craftsmanship I would not touch a thing. This is a beauty.

What others should know: Loves the H&N Field Target Trophy .22 Cal, 14.66 Grains, Round Nose.
