German quality, hand-assembled and ready to accept any task you give it! At only 7.3 lbs., this breakbarrel marvel will delight you with spot-on accuracy. The R9 begs to be shot all day long, and you'll have a hard time refusing.

Repeatable accuracy is built into the gun at the factory, and you won't outgrow it. Its German heritage ensures that it'll perform flawlessly for hunting, pest elimination, paper targets, field targets or plinking. If you plan to shoot field target, .177 is the optimum caliber. If hunting small game and pest elimination are in your plans, .20 caliber is a better choice.

Includes 1" scope rings, medium profile, vertical scope stop in one ring, 2 screws per base & 4 screws per ring cap.

The hardwood Monte Carlo stock includes a slightly raised cheekpiece that is so unobtrusive that it's ambidextrous! The dependable breakbarrel mechanism is smooth and easy to cock. The famous Rekord trigger is the standard by which all other triggers are measured and can be adjusted to suit your needs. Easily add a scope on the 11mm dovetails; accepts a vertical scope stop pin.

Don't forget to pick up a variety of recommended pellets, which are listed in the AMMO link. Select appropriate accessories, including scopes and targets, by clicking on the ACCESSORIES link.

Things I liked: During 2013 I purchased an R-9 in .177. Recently, looking to buy a nice rifle in .22 cal, I researched other European springers. As much as I'd thought of owning something different, I settled on another R-9. The newer models have a newly designed stock, adding a cheek piece on both sides, though the profile is the same as the earlier stock. Accuracy, high quality, crisp trigger, smooth cocking and a superb finish make the R-9 a winner. Not much I can add to the already glowing reviews on these and other pages. Plain and simple, the R-9 is a fantastic shooter.

Things I would have changed: Nothing whatsoever.

What others should know: Shoots a variety of pellets well.

Things I liked: Smooooth operation! Powerful yet refined, more accurate than I expected, and easier to shoot repeatedly than either of my other two springers. Some break-barrels worry me about cocking effort possibly bending them...this one feels like you could break loose the lugnuts on a rusted Peterbilt and still shoot a match with it.

Things I would have changed: I would like to see those brass screw cups for the stock screws as standard, that's all.

What others should know: Got the .20, might have to add the .17 & the .22!

Things I liked: Quality

What others should know: The R9 might just be the perfect springer. Quality, Not too heavy, Laser accurate right out of the box. I got a nice stock with nice grain. Metal finish is superb ! Mine is .20 cal and shoots H&N FTT's at 780 fps. Really thumps the squirrels. Record trigger is super smooth. Don't waste your money on cheap Chinese, get the best to start with.

  • Sal from USA asked:

The .20 cal are Walther barrel in the Beeman and Weihrauch brand.

    • Paul from USA:

      So what is your question??

  • Lajos from USA asked:

What is the LOP (length of pull) for this rifle?

    • DavidW from USA:

My .20 Cal measures 14-1/4 inches or 36 cm. It is about 4 years old and the checkering on the stock looks different than the one pictured on this page but the overall shape of the stock looks the same.

  • james from USA asked:

Which fps is it? PA says 740fps and the person that answered the question says 900?????

    • Paul from USA:

I'm sorry I was referring to the .177 caliber. Thanks Mark for clearing up my incomplete answer.

    • Mark from USA:

740 fps in .22, and 900 fps in .177. Velocity also depends on the weight of the pellet you use.
