The legendary Red Ryder! Who hasn't wanted one of these? Daisy's 1938 Red Ryder model is still a favorite of boys and girls (and men and women). Suitable for shooters 10 and older (with adult supervision), this lever-action spring rifle is lightweight, easy to cock and durable. The solid wood forearm and engraved wood stock are just the right length for young shooters.
With a capacity of 650 BBs (Never shoot BBs at hard objects or water!), you'll be shooting all day long! The rifle comes with a blade and ramp front sight and an adjustable open rear sight. It has a stamped metal receiver and synthetic cocking lever.
This rifle is perfect for plinking, shooting paper targets and for training new shooters. The Red Ryder is intended for shooting targets UP TO 5 meters awayabout 16.5 feet. Safety glasses for the shooter and everyone else in the vicinity are necessary, as BBs can bounce back. Remember to remove all pets from the area, as BBs can ricochet in many unexpected directions.
Click the AMMO link to stock up on BBs. Click the ACCESSORIES link to find fun targets, safety glasses and other gear.

Things I liked: An American icon
Things I would have changed: Made overseas (like most of Daisy's products these days) Make the rear sight adjustable for windage.
What others should know: Not much to say about this rifle other than I truly believe it is the best gun for teaching children. It's not gonna break easily, it's made of wood and metal so children get that it's not a toy, its not powerful enough to shoot long ranges and get your child in trouble, but it's accurate enough for them to learn the fundamentals and appreciate shooting. Just buy a ton of cheap bbs, oil where it says from to time, and enjoy the next big step from your children shooting nerf guns.
Things I liked: I recieved my current Daisey bb gun as a Christmas present in 1950 and taught my two 6 year old grandsons to shoot with it this past week in 2015! It is certainly a value product for the money and target market!
Things I liked: All good to give as first rifle
Where is this one made? I know the new Bucks are made in China. :-( Is this one US made?
